Chapter 118 - The Betrayed Luna They Want
MICHELLE’s POV.
Looking at my little bundles of joy as the three of them are sleeping peacefully in their cradle, I can’t help but tear up and be thankful to the moon goddess for the gift of them.
They look so adorable that no matter how I look at them, I can't get enough of them to say the least.
My thoughts are interrupted when the door opens and Enzo saunters in and his face breaks into a smile.
“Hey baby” he walks up to me and presses a kiss on my lips, “won’t your back hurt from staring at them for such a long time?”
“I just can’t get enough of them babe” I tell him, “I just want to keep looking at them and remain thankful for the gift of them”
“You have all the time in the world to admire them babe, now I have to tell you something”
I turn my attention away from my babies and turn to Enzo. No matter how much I love my babies, Enzo is also a big part of my life and he is my number one priority.
“Tell me babe”
“Nicholas is here”
At the mention of Nicholas, my heart skips a beat. Even after all these months, I still find out that I have not forgiven him for everything he did to me and I am still as pissed as I can be but even at that, I can not stop him from seeing his babies once and that’s what I have come to make peace with.
“Are you ready to meet him!” Enzo asks again as he squats in front of me, “I can bring him some other time if you are not ready”
“No” I refute, “I asked you to bring him so I am ready to meet him”
“Are you sure about that?”
I caress his face gently and smile at him, “I am sure he will be gone after a few minutes, you don’t have to worry about me”
“Okay then” Enzo returns the smile, “I will bring him in now”
“Okay baby”
He stands up and walks out the door again while I return my attention to the sleeping babies in front of me as I sniff back a tear.
The door opens again after a few seconds and I don't bother to turn, I know exactly who has entered.
He stands near the door for a while before he slowly starts to walk towards me and this is when I raise my head to meet his gaze.
He looks so different from the last time I saw him and i know it is because of the torture he endured in the dungeon.
“Hey” his voice filters through and I swallow hard, I still hate him with everything in me and I am not sure I will ever be able to forgive him.
“Thank the goddess you are fine, Mish. I was…
I immediately cut him off, “I didn’t call you here because I wanted to speak to you, Nicholas” I tell him immediately,
“I am not here to make amends with you either. I called you here because you have a right to at least see your babies once before you are out of our lives forever” I pull myself out of the chair and stand face to face with him,
“I wanted to forget about you after everything you have done to me right from the day you sent me out of the house and mocked me on the internet, you toiled with me so much that I hate you up until this very moment but I am not a bad person because Enzo has given me a new lease on life. I only asked him to bring you so you can see your babies, at least you have that right for a few minutes”
Nicholas is silent for a while as his gaze shifts to the sleeping babies and I see a look of regret wash through his face.
“They look so cute” he finally finds his voice, “just like you”
I keep silent and just keep looking at him, even his voice disgusts me.
“Can you ever forgive me for what I have done to you?” He asks with his attention still on the babies, “I know I messed up big time but I..
“Save it, Nicholas” I shut him up almost immediately, “if you are done seeing your babies, you can leave now”

“I am serious Nicholas” I cut him off again, “this is the last duty I will perform towards you and I hope you hold it in high regard because this will be the last time you will set your eyes on either of them. You have seen them and that’s enough for you to live with for the rest of your life. Maybe this will teach you a lesson not to hurt others in your next life”
“Can you let me speak?” Nicholas retorts as he clenches his fist together, “you aren't letting me speak even if you don’t know what I want to say. Look” he rakes his hand through his hair,
“I know I messed up big time when I forced you to sign the divorce papers and still broke our bond and that’s something I will forever hate myself for. You would have been with me now but I am not going to dwell on that anymore. These past four months have been nothing but torture for me and now I want to pick back the pieces of my life and try to be a better person. I know you hate me and there is nothing I will say to make you do otherwise but one thing, Michelle” he makes to hold my hand but I shove him off. How dare he think he is close enough for him to hold onto me?
“Please do not keep my babies away from me, I will die if you do that”
“Then be prepared to die, Nicholas” I spit out in anger, “you can die now if you so wish but I hope you turn a new leaf. This is what I called you here for and I think you should leave now”
“You can not separate a father from his children, Mish” Nicholas continues again, “they are mine and they belong to the pack. Sooner or later, the bond will awaken and they will come to find me, they will come back to their original pack. We..
“That won’t be happening, Nick” a familiar voice filters into my ear and he saunters into the room, “you can’t take them away anymore. They belong to me now and I think you have overstayed your welcome. You have seen them so you might as well leave now”
“Mish…”
“Please Nicholas, let’s not drag this anymore” I interrupt him, “you should leave now”
The door opens again and this time Enzo saunters into the room having an expressionless look hovering over his face. I am sure he was already tired waiting for Nicholas to be done. How can I not love this husband of mine when he understands every one of my emotions and thoughts?
“Aren’t you done baby?” He asks as he walks towards me and snakes his hand around my waist, “I was beginning to wonder if Nicholas was begging on bended knees”
“He was just about to leave,” I answer, “yeah, Nick?”
“You have to allow me to see my babies, Mish, you can not throw me away from their lives like this”
“And I think we are done here” my husband retorts, “you should be on your way Mr woodsborn”
Nicholas heaves a sigh and rakes his hand through his hair,
“I will leave for now but I hope you will realize that you can not keep my babies away from me forever, Mish”
“Get lost!”
Not saying anything again, he turns to his babies for a moment and I see how his lips curl into a smile. If only he didn’t force me to sign those papers, he would have been holding them and loving them more than he is doing now.
The thought of it makes my blood boil and I know the man beside me understands that because he pulls me closer and flashes me a smile and I know what he means, everything will surely be fine.
With that, Nicholas turns around and walks out of the room, his back slouched in regret and pain. I guess this is what he has become now, a shadow of his former self.
As soon as he is out, I pounce into Enzo’s embrace and remain like that. I just feel a little hurt by what my ex husband had done to me.

“How do you feel now?” Enzo asks as we both walk hand in hand in the garden and I smile at him. He decided to take me out on a walk after Nicholas left and I am grateful for that, I don't feel so angry anymore.
“I feel better babe” I answer, “thank you for always showing up for me”
“You are my wife, never forget that”
The smile on my face intensifies as we continue to walk amongst the beautiful flowers.
“I have decided to have a dedication ceremony for the babies in a week’s time, what do you think? It will be good to have them accustomed with the pack from a young age”
“It’s fine by me babe” I reply, “you are their father and you can make such decisions”
“And as for our ceremony, I will let it go until you are fully healed. You pushed out three babies out of you, I would be selfish to want to thrust into you so soon”
His statement makes me laugh, this man is very considerate and very cute too…I love him.
“I….” My voice trails off when aunt runs towards us with a confused look hovering over her face.
“Michelle!!” she comes to a halt, “I can not find the baby Odette” she announces and I feel my whole world come to a standstill.
“What do you mean you can not find her?” My heart is already racing against my rib cage, “Enzo!!”
“Calm down babe” he holds onto me gently”
“I had gone in to check on them and put the scented candle I had ordered but she was gone. Only her brothers were sleeping in their crib”
“No!!” I half yell and make to run towards the house but Enzo holds onto me tightly.
“You are not fully healed babe”
“My daughter, Enzo.. I… My voice trails off when his mobile begins to ring and as soon as we see the caller ID, my heart sinks to the bottom of my legs..Maria.
Swallowing hard, Enzo clicks on the receive button and put the phone on loudspeaker.
“Hello boss” her voice filters through, “Odette is a very pretty girl, I wonder what will happen if I decide to make her into my minion”
“Dare to touch my daughter and I will make sure to strip you of your goddess title” I growl into the receive, “and I swear on the moon goddess”
