CHAPTER EIGHTY
 NICHOLAS’s POV.
 Pressing my back against the chair, I massage the space between my brows as a little groan escapes my lips. This is when the door opens and my assistant saunters into the office with some documents in hand.
 “Boss” he bows gently and place the documents on the table before me,
 “Since the press conference organized by Avanti a few hours ago, our stocks have been plummeting despite the success recorded from the fashion week”
 “Hmmm, I see” I don’t bother to react to it because I already knew it was going to happen after everything.
 I also woke up this morning to the news about Michelle and I know who the person that did that was. I know Michelle is suspicious of me but she is right in all ramifications to be suspicious of me.
 “And about the company that published the article, Avanti has already sued them for defamation”
 “How fast” I mutter under my breath, “that’s good then, add another lawsuit to that. They dared to publish rubbish about my company and about the stocks plummeting, arrange for a board meeting”
 “Yes boss”
 As he makes his way out of the office, my thoughts drift back to Michelle again and how ruthless she looked a while back on television.
 I must have hurt her a lot and now she is fighting back in the most gruesome way possible.
 My door opens again and Lucy ventures into my office. The moment I see her, I have the inkling to roll my eyes because I am genuinely not in the mood to talk to anyone now.
 “Why are you here, Lucy?” I ask her, “I told you I am not in the mood to talk to anyone now”
 “You haven’t been at the pack house for some days now and you are always in your office, I was worried about you and that’s why I have come to see you despite your instructions”
 “What do you want?” I hiss in anger, “I am busy, you should leave”
 “I met Natalia out front” she tells me and my eyes darken at her outburst. How dare her show her face in front of me?
 “The nerve of her to come here” I growl in anger as I spring up from my chair.
 “She left already” Lucy tells me, “i know you won’t want to see her so I made sure she left before I came in”
 I close my eyes for a moment trying to calm my angry body down. Natalia has messed up big time and it is going to take the intervention of the moon goddess for me not to end her life if I set my eyes on her ever again.
 “But she wasn’t particularly wrong in publishing that article Nick” Lucy says again and a frown appears on my face when her words reach my ears.
 “Michelle has always been a manipulative bitch and I just realized it now. How can she get pregnant for someone a few days after her divorce and what more, she thinks she is a saint? I must have been blinded by her all these years”
 I lower myself back on the chair with my full attention on the lady in front of me.
 “She used to be your favorite, what happened?”
 “She has been humiliating you with every chance she gets and what more, that stupid Enzo dared to attack me, you must take revenge for me, brother”
 I lean back on the chair and close my eyes for a moment, her image winding its way into my head.
 “You need to teach her a lesson, Nicholas” Lucy tells me again but I completely ignore her as an idea pops into my head.
 “I need you to do something for me Lucy. I want you to find out even the smallest detail about Enzo”
 “Why?” A scowl appears on her face, “what do you need it for?”
 “If I want to get my woman back, I need to get all the information I can on her new husband. I agree that I messed up big time but now is the time for me to get her back, she belongs to me and no one else”
 “Are you perhaps out of your mind?” Lucy blurts as a look of disgust flashes through her face, “first off, Michelle is pregnant with his baby and she has already humiliated you enough, do you know what the netizens are saying about you on the internet and blogs? Our stocks are plummeting right now and that’s the only thing you can think of?”
 “She is the only thing I can think of right now” I tell Lucy and the look on her face intensifies, “the thought of her has clouded my mind and I can not think of anyone else but her. I messed up the first time but not anymore. I am willing to fight Enzo to the depths of hell to get my woman back and I mean it with every fiber of my being”
 Lucy sighs heavily as she presses forward, her gaze not leaving me for even a moment, 
 “Why do I feel like this is already a lost cause?”
 “Just fucking do what I told you to” I snap at her and she flinches, “i want that information on my table by tomorrow morning”
 “But…
 “You may leave now”
 I am done talking to her, right now I just want to be alone and that’s all.
 Lucy doesn’t say anything again and just leaves, a gesture that I deeply appreciate because right now I am on the verge of losing my mind.
 
 The time is a few minutes past eleven and finally I decide to go home. With the state of my body right now, my wolf could burst out of me anytime and I am not in the right frame of mind to even control it. I know everything will be fine in the four corners of my house.
 Making up my mind, I leave my office and just as the elevator door opens, a huge frown appears on my face when I see Natalia inside of it with her full gaze on me. The nerve of her to show me her face.
 “How dare you come here, Natalia?” I rush towards her with the speed of light and grab her neck pushing her against the wall and a loud groan leaves her mouth.
 “Please Nicholas” she forces the words out of her mouth, 
 “I only…I only came to talk to you please”
 “You sure are tired of living, aren’t you?” I tighten my grip on her neck as my claws start to dig into her neck making blood sip out of it, “you must not love your life anymore to come in front of me you filthy wretch”
 “Please Nick” tears begins to sip out of her eyes, “let me go”
 “Why? So you can harm Michelle again?” I clench my teeth in anger, “the audacity”
 “If you harm me, you are harming her in the process” Natalia says again and almost immediately I let go of her neck the moment I hear her words.
 “What did you say?”
 “You heard me correctly Nicholas” she blurts, “I know you hate me and you want to kill me but do you think you can get rid of me that easily?” She scoffs a little as the tears continue to roll down her eyes, “I know you are an almighty alpha and you can unalive me as you wish but you can not do that now. I did not want to result in this but that bitchy sister of mine left me no choice Nicholas. I did not leave for three years only to come back unprepared. I might as well tell you this now since you might find out sooner or later but I was with a witch from the Zu clan for these three years and she has helped me a lot. My fate and that of my sister is connected now. The moment you hurt me, she will be hurt too. So now tell me Nick, will you kill me now that you have the opportunity or not?”
 For a moment I am silent as different thoughts run through my head. I have heard of the Zu clan and they are the cruelest witches to ever walk the face of the earth. How on earth did she get involved with people like them?
 “I love you too much to let you go, Nicholas and I am going to make sure I become the Luna of our pack. You can try as much as you want but as long as Michelle is alive, then my safety is guaranteed. If you think I am lying, why don’t you try and hurt me and see her get hurt in the process. Here” she tilts her neck and pulls her clothes a little away from her neck and this is when I see a small tattoo there, a tattoo I have never noticed before.
 “You will find the exact same mark on Michelle if you look closely Nick, our lives are intertwined and I hope you won’t hurt me just to keep her alive.
 Looking at the mark, a feeling of deja vu envelops me. It feels like I have seen it before but I can not remember where, everything seems a bit foggy to me.
 “You sure have some nerves, do you think I will believe that crap?” I grab her neck again and shove her against the wall, “you dare to stand in front of me and threaten me? Are you tired of living?”
 “I only wanted to love you and make you mine forever Nicholas” she tells me again, “believe me when I said I never wanted to result in my second plan because you divorced her and we were happy together but now how can I let her have you again? The tears slowly starts to fall again, “Michelle has always been everyone’s favorite and even the moon goddess bestowed her with powers which I have always wished to have, she had everything including the man I loved but I won’t let her take you from me, Alpha Nicholas. You can as well kill me but I promise you that she will die alongside me and you will be blamed for her death. From now I will no longer hold back, I will make sure to take everything”
 Right now my wolf wants to jump out of my body and tear her into a thousand pieces but right now Michelle is at the center of all this and I know more than to hurt her the second time.
 Slowly I let go of her neck and she coughs out loud.
 “I will be waiting for your response, Nicholas” with that, she walks out of the elevator right in front of me while I immediately pull out my phone and dial a number and immediately the person from the other end answers.
 “Master” Pete’s voice filters into my ear.
 “Before the break of dawn, i want all the information you can get on the Zu clan and it is very important, you can not leave anything out”
 As I end the call and crash my back against the wall, I know for a fact that this is not as simple as it looks and I am to blame for everything that is happening to her now.
