ELARA'S POV
Shanty had showed me around and I was comfortable with the place, though it wasn't so open. It was hidden but not as hidden as I wanted.
"Are you going to get this?" We stared at the house for a few minutes.
I don't want it to look like efforts were wasted but I really don't want to take that house.
"Do I have a choice?" I shrugged.
"Would you ...prefer the one behind??" An old gardener said to us.
Um..
We looked at ourselves, guess we know the answer already.
We got to the place and this.....this is ten times better than the first place Shanty showed to me.
I fell in love with the place already...
"This place looks like a witch coven. I'm sorry if I'm sounding rude but it looks like a place where they brought people for sacrifice...." Shanty walked around and touched every single thing she saw.
"This place is not what you think. Someone who believes in other things lived here once and of course would do whatever she likes with it. I believe as she packed out, she packed everything... " The old gardener whispered to me alone.
"I'll take it." Shanty was already going to kill me with her eyes.
"What do you mean you'll take it?" She mouthed the words.
I didn't have a response to that so I I looked away and signed the necessary documents with her.
"Elara?" She called out my name like she was choking.
The old gardener turned to her and she faked a cough.
"Is there anything wrong dear?" She asked, concerned.
"No, I just need to catch some air outside." She smiled and walked away
I guess she isn't okay with me staying here but I need a place that anyone could barely think of and I love it.
"Thank you granny." I got the keys and now the house is mine.
She walked away while I examined the house in the next five minutes, Shanty walked in just as I expected.
"Are you still mad I took it?" I asked without taking my eyes off the thing I was looking at.
"I'm not mad at you, I mean you can do what you want but have you thought of the way it looks?"
"I don't need a house that attracts and this is the perfect one." I smiled.
"If you say so." She shrugged.
She gave up knowing that there is no way she would convince me to leave the house.
"So when are you packing your things over here?"
Yeah, that 's actually a good question.
"Today, now." I said to her,
I folded the paper In two halves and put it in my pockets.
"I need to catch up with something , okay? I will check up on you when you are done packing." Shanty put her jacket into the car..
"I understand, thank you for your help and concern. I will take it up from here." I spread my arms open and gave her a nice hug.
"You do not know how much I missed being hugged." She murmurs.
"Joel?" I whispered to her ears.
She pushed me away and frowned, that looked so funny to me that I couldn't hold my laughter.
"See you soon." She drives away.
All of a sudden safe hates the name, I would really want to know what happened. That is the name she will kill you for if she heard you say it.
"Well, she will still kill for pronouncing it. I guess this time for a different reason." I scoffed and got back into my car.
"Get this ready too." I ordered the maid.
Everyone was in a state of confusion but no one dared to ask me what was going on.
"And this ma'am?" She brought out a book.
I don't have to go through it but I'm taking every book with me.
"Yes, put that into the bag. I will go with it." I said to her,
Soon, they were done with packing the things I will need.
"Yeah, now I'm done with everything." I sighed.
My gaze shifted from one thing to another. When I was assured that nothing was missing I ordered the men to put it in the boot.
"What are we going to tell them?"
"Who?"
"Whoever comes to see you.." She answered.
"Tell them I am nowhere to be found, I woke up one morning and decided to take my things away." I said to her,
She had so much confusion on her face that it was enough to show that I sounded trashy.
"Do you need further explanation for that?" I tilted my head.
"No...no...I understand." She fluttered her lashes and walked backwards and I got into the car.
"No, I will drive myself." I took the keys from the driver and zoomed off.
I want to start a new life, a life where I do not need to hide from people. At Least people around there do not know much about me.
The journey was a long one, I don't know if I was using the right route but this looks farther.
"Just a little longer and I will be there." I made the left turn and just as I said to myself, I was close to the house.
I got there and took the things out of the car.
"Do you need any assistance?" The old gardener was still outside waiting for me.
"Umm..no...I can handle myself." I replied with an awkward smile.
I appreciate she helped me with the house but isn't it creepy that she always has to be here.
I needed somewhere enclosed and I got it but I didn't think I would love seeing her all the Time.
She smiled and walked away to the varenda.
She sat there and looked like a statue.
"Shit!!!" My hearts were already pumping out in fear..
"Now I have to start my arrangements." I sighed.
I brought in the boxes and I heard my phone ring.
"Hello??" I picked and didn't bother to look at who called.
"Elara..."
Shit! That's Victor.
