Chapter 33

A month has passed and Fiona is completely back to normal. All her injuries have been healed. This month has been interesting as Justin has seen various faces of her. She has started opening up to him. It's safe to say that she trusts him with her life. They have been on a few dates and outings. They also had a little brunch with Emy, James, Mason, and Kristy. As for Emy and James surprisingly, their relationship is growing stronger with every day. Strange! But true. As for Justin's relationship with Fiona. Well, he still has not been able to man up and confess it to her. Surely she knows that he likes her but officially he has not said anything to her.

Hey! He is not saying that he is gay, but when it comes to confessing his feeling to her, he just back out. He just can't go to her and tell her He LOVES her. He has to do something special for her. She deserved that especially in the circumstances they got married.

But before that, he needs to plan something for her birthday. He had known her enough to say that she likes to celebrate her day with close ones. Yes, she loves gifts and surprises, but only those which are given from the heart.

Fiona is in a grumpy mood. Of course, who wouldn't be if your birthday is going to start in a few minutes and no one remembers it?

The thing is simple.

Fiona always gets excited during her day as per Em information, so he told them to pretend to forget about her birthday. He also asked them to cut her off if she states anything about her day.

"Hey, Fiona, sup" he went into their room casually.

"Nothing. You say, complete your work? "She asked.

Justin was stopping himself from laughing in front of her. She was looking so dam adorable in a grumpy mood. But he knows that after his surprise to her, she is going to jump out of joy. Well, at least he hopes she does.

You know as people say, for some immense happiness, a bit of saddens is fine. Actually, it was his saying.

"Yes, all done perfectly. Well, I need your little help."

"What helps?" she asked in a dilemma "Come with me, I will show you"

"Oki-doki."

He grabbed her hand and led her to the living area. He checked his watch. 11:58 two more minutes left.

"It's dark here," she groaned.

"Go ahead and switch on the light," he said as if it's the most obvious thing in this world. she went towards the wall and switch on the lights.

15 seconds left.

"So now what?" she asked.

She was beyond frustrated. Emmy always used to call her by 1155 to wish her, but this time nope. Justin had another surprise planned for her.

3 seconds left.

"Look behind and see yourself"

He said with a smile on his face.

3 seconds She slowly turned behind.

2 seconds Still turning 1 second And boom She saw her surprise.

"Happy birthday"

He told her in her ear and took a few steps back.

On the main wall of the living room, Justin removed all the scenic photo frames and replaced them with their memories. There were many pictures displayed on the wall.

Their marriage day, He knows that he had been jerked to her, but hey every marriage is a memory of a girl that to a special one.

Than their honeymoon pictures were there, the pics which that lady clicked. Fiona falls *click* me catching her *click* remembered sequence one. Yes, that one only. He arranged it in sequence and hanged it on the wall.

There were also pics of them with James, Em, Mason and Kristy.

Fiona was observing each and every picture carefully. He saw a tear falling from her eyes, but she didn't wipe it off. Once she saw all the pics she turned to him.

"How is it?" I asked her nervously.

She came and hugged him. "It's beautiful. Thank you so much. This is so far the best gift I have ever received."

"Then what about my gift" Em came from nowhere.

"Em, you were supposed to come in the morning" Justin accused her and at the same time glaring at her. This should be his time with her.

"And miss my girlfriend day. No way"

"She is my girlfriend, not yours," he pointed her like a kid.

"Correction. She is your wife." stick her tongue out.

"Sorry bro, Miley was determined to come here and was not ready to hear anything" James butted in.

"I don't hear to anyone. You should know that about me by now." Emily pointed to him.

They both went towards Fiona and wished her. Even hugged her. Then she opened her gift by Em and James.

"Em, this is beautiful" Em gifted her lavender knee-length sleeveless dress. 

"Of course it is. After all, it is selected by me." she boasted a bit.

"James this is another best gift. In fact, after Justin's it's your gift I love. And why before you speak Em, I can't decide whose gift I love more yours or James."

James gifted Fi Percy Jackson series. Apparently, she was struggling to find that series, so James gifted her that. Her love for books cannot be defined in words.

"Anything for a beautiful lady like you." he winked.

"Well, my gifts stand out the most. Ha! Take those losers. Now you two are more than welcome to get lost from here"

"Justin," Fiona said loudly.

"Fiona, Em trespassed this property. I want to spend time with you and you need to sleep now. We have a beautiful day ahead of us."

"You know what Fi, I take my words back. Your hubby is the same as this moron James. AND Justin, Fi is my girlfriend first, then your wife. Ha! Now you take that looser." with that both of them hugged Fi and left.

"Justin that was not fair," Fiona said He grabbed her waist and pulled her towards him.

"Really is it not now." to which she blushed.

"Thank you so much, I loved your surprise."

"You know with upcoming days the rest of the wall is going to be filled with more of memories."

"Really?"

"Of course. We are going to have so many of them that even this wall will be not enough."

"I am waiting for this wall to get full"

The whole day, four of them hang out at different places. They went to some of the tourist places and here and there. It was night now and her birthday was almost over. Definitely an hour and were left. They both were standing out of their home.

Justin was beyond nervous. He had planned another surprise for her. And this surprise is far more different than the one which gave her in the morning.

"Why are you fidgeting so much?"

"Am I, did I tell you that you are looking ravishing today," he said to her "Yes, you did. In fact, this is the 20th time you said."

"Which is so less...? So we should get in"

"Yes, " he opened the door. They slowly went towards the room.

"You sure you want to get inside the room"

"Yes, I want to change and my comfy bed is calling me."

"No you can't go inside." he blurted out suddenly.

"Why," She asked suspiciously.

"Umm." he was scratching his neck now.

"Justin, what is it?" She asked him in annoyance.

"I...Um...Your birthday...Surprise" great he was stuttering now.

"This is the best day ever. Each and every minute was special and thank you"

"Anything for you"

"Fiona," Justin said her name once again She ignored him and opened the door and went inside the bedroom and she was awestruck. The whole room was lit with red candles. Nothing too flashy. It was simply elegant and beautiful. She turned towards Justin and bang she finds he kneeled down.

Her eyes were wide.

"Well, I know that you are thinking about something which you don't want to. But I have waited for long enough. During the start of our marriage, I was a jerk to you for not showing up at the night and week after our marriage. But now I will be a bigger one if I didn't tell you what my heart says. I love you, Fiona. Yes! I do. I always liked you from the day I laid my eyes on you at the business party, but I was too stubborn to admit it. But not anymore. I was 100 percent sure about my feeling when I was about to lose you. I can't promise to never make you cry or hurt you. But I will promise you that I won't do it intentionally. I will always be there to wipe your tears away. I love you too much to hurt you. So Fiona Carter I know you are already married to me, but will your heart marry my heart now by accepting this ring."

"Is this real" this was her first few words after his proposal.

"Yes, " he said nervously.

"So...Fi say something. My knee is hurting. It's not that easy to sit on one knee."

"Yes!"

"You are crying. I shouldn't have said that. I goofed up. But I won't give up..."

"Yes! Yes!" she said again "Wait, what you said"

"I said yes"

He immediately put the ring on her finger. He stood up swirl her around and kissed her.

"I love you," he said. "I didn't know it feels so good to finally say these three words"

"I love you too"

Yes, this is definitely her best birthday ever.
