Chapter 56 Special People
The entrance of the Acce Lighting Group Headquarters.
Carl's mother was anxious, lingering at the entrance sadly, pleading with the security guard, "Just do me a favor and let me in. I promise I won't cause you any trouble."
"Lady, there's a rule at headquarters that you can't enter if you're not an employee of the headquarters. Just don't give us a hard time." The security guard said, looked at Carl's mother, and thought that this crazy woman had been here all morning, she was probably crazy.
Carl's mother was standing at the entrance of the headquarters, looking towards the inside, but her vision was blocked by the railing. So she couldn't see what was going on inside. She knew Carl well. Only when something happened, Carl would not come home and not make a call.
The security guard looked at the watch. It was ten o'clock in the morning, and the supervisor would soon come over. If she saw this, he would be reprimanded. So the guard walked to Carl's mother, "You tell me your son's name, and I will help you to find out."
Carl's mother looked grateful, "His name is Carl, thank you."
The guard nodded, "Okay, I'll go in and find out for you. It's probably going to take a long time. Leave a phone number and then go home and wait. I'll call you when I find Carl."
Carl's mother was waving and said, "It's okay. I'll just wait here."
The guard originally wanted to trick her away, but this tactic still didn't work. He became angry and said with a cold face, "You crazy woman, you've been making trouble here all morning. Now you hurry back or I'll report you to the police."
Carl's mother was a little annoyed when she heard such words, "Who are you calling crazy woman? Let me tell you, my son is the big leader of the headquarters. If he hears this, he will fire you."
Hearing such words, the security guard smiled and said disdainfully, "Big leader? Are you kidding? I'll be honest with you! Carl is the toilet cleaner at our headquarters. The whole headquarters knows about this. He’s not the big boss. You’re so shameful."
It just so happened that Edward drove to work, saw Carl's mother there, and heard the security say this. He felt l bad about it. After parking the car, he went to the security, and slapped him, hit that security almost fell to the ground.
"Son of a bitch, you're tired of living, aren't you?" Edward stared at the security angrily.
"Director Lee!" The security guard was confused. Wasn't this crazy woman the mother of Carl? Why did the Director hit him?
Edward walked over and helped Carl's mother, "Auntie, are you okay?"
Only then did Carl's mother reacted, "It's fine."
After a glance at that security guard, Carl's mother said, "Edward, how can you do that? It's fine to teach him a lesson, but how can you hit him? You're the leader of the headquarters. If it is disseminated, what do the subordinates think of you in the future?"
"Auntie, I was just reckless. I'll pay attention in the future." Edward laughed out, then glared towards the security behind him, "That will teach you for being polite. I hate someone being damned snobbish."
Saying that, he said towards Carl's mother, "Auntie, what are you doing at the headquarters?"
Carl's mother said sadly, "Carl hasn't come home for a week and hasn't called me. I was anxious, so I wanted to come to the headquarters to see if something had happened."
Hearing such words, Edward said, "I'll make a phone call and ask."
Carl's mother said anxiously, "Then you quickly ask. What's going on with Carl? Why didn't he come home for so long?"
Edward nodded, took out his cell phone and made a call to Mr. Lau.
"Mr. Lau, is Carl at the headquarters?"
"Hi, Director Lee! Carl hasn't come to work for a long time. I’m just about to call you. As you know, there's a major reorganization going on at headquarters right now, and I've been taking leave for him for the past few days. It's been a week, so help me tell him that if he doesn't come to work again, I won't be able to hide it, so let him hurry up."
"When was the last time he worked?"
"The last time he was at work was last week."
......
Edward hung up the phone. Where the hell did Carl go?
Edward was getting worried either.
"Edward, did you find Carl?" Carl's mother said anxiously.
Edward reacted, "He hasn't come to work for a week, and the people at headquarters aren't sure where he's gone. Don't worry yet. I'll definitely find Carl."
"In that case, I'll send you back first. Let me find Carl. Look at you, you're old. If anything happens, I really don't know how to explain to Carl. You just go back and wait at ease. I'll definitely help you find him, okay?"
Carl's mother originally thought that he had gone out of town, but she didn't expect that the people at headquarters weren't sure where he had gone. Now she was even more anxious, "No, I have to find him. He didn't come home or call for such a long time. Something must have happened."
Edward was now awkward. There was still a meeting today, and many things had to be dealt with. But leaving Carl's mother alone was really worrying.
Edward immediately remembered Paisley, picked up the phone and called over.
"Miss Wilson, how are you? Let me ask you one thing, do you know where Carl went?"
Immediately there came Paisley's angry voice, "Edward, I haven't asked you about this matter yet. I haven't been able to find Carl and his mother since they moved away, and you didn’t want to answer me when I've asked you several times. But now you call and ask me about him."
"I really don't know anything about Carl and his mother moving away, and now that Carl is missing and his mother is looking everywhere for him. I thought you knew where Carl was and that's why I called you."
"Where is she now?"
"In front of the headquarters."
"Wait for me, I'll be right down."
......
The headquarters conference room.
Amina was flipping through the documents in her hands. She saw Paisley walk in and handed the documents to her, "You are the main character in today's meeting. Look at you, remember, you can't be soft. Do what you have to do."
Paisley took the document and placed it on the table, "Carl is missing."
"I'll leave the construction headquarters to him. I guess he was afraid and hid. Don't worry. He still has a few months' salary on the headquarters. I believe he won't be so stupid, and he'll come back on his own soon, and then, see how I'll deal with him."
Until now, Paisley wasn't sure why Amina hated Carl so much.
Paisley was anxious, "I think that this matter may have something to do with the Smith's construction headquarters. We can't take it lightly. Especially at this critical time, we must find Carl."
Amina looked at Paisley in confusion, "No, that's not right! When have you been so attached to Carl? Are you in love with him? I can tell you that Carl is a shameless son of a bitch. You can't like him either. We are the best of friends. I must remind you. Otherwise, you'll regret it."
Paisley smiled when she heard such words, "I think he's quite good."
Amina looked unhappy, "I'm talking at this point. It's up to you whether you believe him or not. You'll regret it then."
Paisley said, "Now that Carl is missing, I have to find a way to find him. I can't attend today's meeting."
Saying that, she stepped on her heels and walked out of the meeting room.
"Paisley ...." Amina shouted. As a result, Paisley had already left the conference room and disappeared into the corridor.
Seeing Paisley leave in a hurry, Amina was stiff. Paisley was her best friend, so she couldn't just watch her be hurt by Carl. She had to think of a way to make Paisley see the true face of Carl.
Paisley went to the entrance of the headquarters and saw Edward and Carl's mother outside immediately walked over and helped Carl's mother, smiling, "Auntie, don't worry. We will definitely help you find Carl."
"Then thank you. I'm relieved that Carl has friends like you."
Edward said towards Paisley, "Miss Wilson, I'm sorry to trouble you. There's still a whole bunch of things to deal with in the planning department today, so I can't accompany you. Please give me a call after you find Carl, and I'll teach this brat a good lesson so that he'll not do this next time."
Paisley didn't say anything and smiled towards Carl's mother, "Auntie, I'll send you home now. Then I'll go find Carl. Do you think that's okay?"
Carl's mother nodded, but she was still worried. She knew Carl well. If something big hadn't happened, there was no way he wouldn't have called her.
"I'm going to drive." Just a few steps out, a white van drove over and parked next to Carl's mother, and two attendants came out of it and rushed over towards Carl's mother.
Paisley noticed that something was wrong and immediately shouted towards the security guard, "Catch them."
The security guards were stunned for a while before they came back to their senses and pounced towards the two attendants.
Edward, who was on the side, also reacted and threw a punch towards one of the henchmen, but it was still too late. Carl's mother was dragged to the car by the henchmen. Then they drove away.
Edward got anxious and yelled at the security guards, "What are you waiting for? Don't go after it yet."
The two security guards ran towards the van in a frightened frenzy, but how could they outrun the car, and the van soon disappeared down the road.
