Chapter 54 Threats
Saying that, Barr stared at Carl and said, "Does Missy know about this?"
Carl nodded, "She already knew. She originally wanted to kill you, but felt that you were still considered loyal to the Kayfia Group so she didn't do it. But you know, she hates traitors, so if you play tricks, it will be likely that she will kill you."
Barr smiled, "Please tell Miss that I will be loyal and work for her, and I will never betray her."
Carl nodded, "Don't worry, I will definitely relay this to Miss."
Barr looked much better.
"Since that's the case, I'll take my leave. If you have any orders, as long as I can do it, I'll definitely do it for you."
Barr pulled out a business card from his pocket and handed it to Carl.
After receiving the business card, Carl nodded and watched Barr leave. After closing the door, he sat on the sofa breathing heavily, feeling as if he was exhausted. If he just said one wrong word, he would be dead.
Walked to the window, he saw Barr walk to the door of the residential area, got in the car and left.
Amabel came out from the room, looking at Carl unhappily, "You’re really stupid. That guy is rich. You should take the opportunity to blackmail him. I tell you I don't have that much money. You pay the rent for next month. If you can't pay, I will expel you from the master."
Carl's face fell. Just now he had put in a lot of effort to cheat on Barr, who was cunning. If he asked him for money, he would definitely be exposed and be dead.
Carl was still a little afraid.
Originally, he was going to report to the police, but after thinking about it, he felt that it was useless. Barr didn't kill anyone, so there was nothing the police could do to him.
Carl looked at his watch, and it was 7 p. m. He had to get something to eat before going to work, otherwise, he would only have to wait until midnight at the entertainment place to have a snack. He couldn't stand it. He didn't eat this morning.
"Let's go. Let's get something to eat first." Carl said towards Amabel.
Amabel didn't say anything, pursing her lips, probably still angry about what happened before.
Carl helplessly laughed, "Can I apologize to you yet? You know that Barr earns money by killing people. Can we use that kind of money? Don't worry. When I get paid next month, I'll treat you to a big dinner."
Amabel looked at Carl, "Until next month comes, we are all starving. You do not work, but follow me to do my job. I ensure that you make a big fat profit."
Carl was stunned. This little girl wanted to steal money as usual.
"No!" Carl said with a livid face, "Don't forget you promised me that you would never steal anything again."
"Did I say that?"
Amabel smiled, "If you don't steal it, let's go and rob it, I'll give you a lookout."
Carl didn't have the time to go on with her nonsense. He opened the refrigerator. There were still some vegetables that were bought yesterday.
While having dinner, Carl seriously warned, "From today onwards, you must stay by my side every moment, no wandering around. Barr is not good. He does not dare to do anything to me, but there is no guarantee that he does not dare to do anything to you."
It was estimated that Amabel had not eaten properly for a long time, and Carl's cooking skills were not bad. Amabel gobbled up food, her mouth full of oil. Only when she heard Carl speak to her, did she look up, "Do you think I'm a three-year-old child? I don’t need a reminder. And don't be garrulous from now on."
"Are you not a little kid?" Carl looked at Amabel, "You’re fifteen years old. Do you know what you should be doing at this age?"
"What?" Amabel said.
Carl spoke up, "Studying? Tell me honestly, have you ever gone to school?"
Amabel recalled, "You're despising me. I dropped out of school after my mother died last year."
When talking about her mother, Amabel looked a bit sad, but quickly recovered, hands on her chin, looking at a certificate on the wall, "I also want to study and be with my classmates, but what can I do? I can't even pay my tuition."
"I'll help you pay your tuition, but you promise me that you won't steal any more money."
"Are you serious?" Amabel looked excited.
"Come to work with me tonight."
Amabel immediately put down her chopsticks when she heard such words.
At eight o'clock, Carl arrived in front of the main gate of the entertainment place and just happened to bump into Gia. After glancing at Amabel, Gia looked at Carl, "Is she your cousin?"
"Yes."
Carl smiled.
Saying that, he pulled Gia over once, "Is this place still hiring?"
Gia immediately got it and smiled, "You're talking about your cousin, right?"
Carl nodded.
Gia looked back at Amabel, and was worried, "Yes, but she is too young."
Carl smiled, "She's just fifteen now, but the nominal age is sixteen. It should be fine."
Gia shook her head, "I'm not sure about that. You'll have to ask the head of the Human Resources Department."
Carl nodded.
And at this time, he felt a stern gaze staring at him. Looking back, it was the man who had argued with Gia yesterday, and now he looked angry.
Only then did Carl reacted and released Gia, smiled awkwardly and walked over towards that man, "I'm sorry about yesterday ......"
Before he finished, the man grabbed Carl's collar and cursed, "Son of a bitch, if you dare to touch Gia again, I'll kill you. Do you believe me?"
The man was slapped. He staggered and almost fell to the ground. He was about to yell, but seeing that it was Gia, he immediately shut up, "Gia, I know what happened yesterday was my fault. I am now formally apologizing to you."
Gia looked very angry and smirked, "I have nothing to do with you. You don't need to apologize to me."
The headquarters had a rule that roll call was required before work, and now that it was almost time for roll call. People from the headquarters were arriving one after another, and they happened to see this and all came over to watch the fun.
The man was also a small leader of the headquarters, and was humiliated in front of so many people. He felt so ashamed, but do not dare to be angry with Gia. So he could only vent all the anger to Carl. He viciously stared at Carl, scolded, "You have the guts. Wait and see."
Saying that, the man strode towards the headquarters.
"I'm sorry." Gia apologized awkwardly.
"It's fine." Carl was indifferent.
And at this time, a group of people walked out from the headquarters gate.
Gia pulled Carl's corner and whispered, "They're the top leaders of the headquarters. Do you know who the pretty leader at the front is?"
Carl was stunned, Olivia? What he didn't expect was Olivia would show up here.
Gia said happily, "She is the owner of our headquarters. Our entertainment place is just a branch. In Gadsden, there are more than thirty entertainment places, all owned by her."
Saying that, Gia looked particularly excited, "She comes here every half month to make make an inspection tour. Strangely, she just came here last week. I don't expect that she will come again today."
Carl smiled helplessly.
"Do you know her?" Gia was curious.
"No." Carl said in a panic.
Olivia saw Carl but quickly looked away and took over the female boss's documents, "From today, retrain all the staff, especially on the staff's and leaders’ qualities. You must deal with this matter."
The female boss nodded, "Don't worry, director. I'll take care of it."
"I will stay here this month to supervise," Olivia said.
The female boss was confused. Miss Moore had never stayed another day at any headquarters. Now that she was staying to supervise. It was too unbelievable!
Gia whispered towards Carl, "Who do you think is prettier, the chief director or the boss?"
Carl shook his head, "I’m not sure."
Gia smiled, "Of course the head director. No matter her figure, looks, or temperament, she's superior than the boss. Even I'm still fascinated by her. Look at those hypocrites in front, they are all attracted by her."
Ten minutes later, Carl just finished sending beer out from the box. He bumped into Amabel. She looked proud, smiling towards Carl, "The boss said, I can work tonight. Are you envious?"
Carl said, "Okay, then from now on, you'll stay well and never steal anything."
