Chapter Seventy-Six: No.

“WHAT do you mean that you can’t answer me?” Loki couldn’t help but shout.

Right after he burst out in anger, he held his stomach because of the pain that he felt.

“Your highness, you need to recover… please, your daughters need you,” Lincoln pleaded.

He bite his lower lip as he endured the pain in his stomach. That’s when he realized that it wasn’t just the stomach but also all over his body. He feels so tired, and his muscles are painful.

“J-just tell me what happened,” he said and then sighed.

Lincoln sighed. Loki is hard-headed, so he has no choice but to tell him. Even though he knows that he might go hysterical… after all, he has to know.

“After you passed out, the human soldiers decided to help you. They started to shoot Alistair. Their bullets have silver, which is protection from creatures like vampires. That’s why it affected Alistair. He tried to fight back, but Elder Damon came and attack Alistair. Elder Damon took the gemstone while the human soldiers came out of the borderline…”

“What happened to Alistair?”

“He disappeared…”

“And Shiloh?”

Lincoln sighed. “We don’t have any news from her. I went there yesterday to check if I can go inside their borderline but I couldn’t. Their gemstone is too strong. They created a more powerful boundary.”

Loki closed his eyes tightly. Now he knows why Lincoln doesn’t want to tell him all of this. It’s because now that he knows, he wanted to get up off his bed right away… but he couldn’t even feel his legs!

“How many days have I been lying here?” he asked.

“About four days…”

“Damn it! Why didn’t you find a way to wake me up?”

“We did, your highness. But you’re still unconscious despite that we tried everything…”

He was so frustrated. It’s unbelievable that he just laid here doing nothing but sleeping! Now they didn’t know what happened to Shiloh.

“Alistair said that he will make Shiloh his wife,” he muttered. “If I am not mistaken, he will bite her to death. Once she wakes up, she will forget everything about me, about our daughters, and will be Alistair’s wife…”

“She will be a hybrid…” Lincoln replied.

“Yes…” He caught his head. “Once she became a hybrid, the vampires can use her to rise in this country. It has been thousands of years since the last hybrid extinct. Hybrids are stronger than werewolves and vampires three times.”

“It will also be a threat to them. Why does Alistair want to make Shiloh his wife when he knows that she can kill them all too?”

“No, she won’t kill him unless he was the first one she will see once she wakes up,” he replied. “Alistair will control her like his puppet…”

Frustrated, Lincoln sat down on the chair in front of Loki’s bed. “What are we going to do now, your highness?”

“We have to gather all the Alphas here in the palace to have a meeting. It wasn’t just South Verlice’s problem, but the whole country. The Alphas can suggest something that we can use to fight the vampires.”

“Alright, I will invite them all as soon as you recovered—”

“No, gather them all now. I can talk to them even though I can’t walk.”

Hesitated, Lincoln stood up. “Are you sure, your highness?”

“Yes, I am very sure, Lincoln. Now go and gather all of them.”

Lincoln bowed his head before he finally went out of the room to do what he told him.

Later on, Caroline came with the Princesses which made his heart a little less worried. At least his daughters are fine…

“Come my little Princesses,” he said.

Elen and Selina immediately climbed up on him.

“Careful girls,” Caroline said.

But Loki just nodded and smile. He’s fine. His body was a little painful but it’s fine with him for as long as he can embrace his daughters.

When he felt their warm bodies against his arms, he couldn’t help but feel emotional. He went through a lot these days and he needs emotional strength to continue this battle.

“Mama… mama…” Elen murmured.

He lifted up his head and then looked at Elen. “Baby, I’m sorry if I wasn’t able to save your Mom last time. But don’t worry, I won’t let that happen again… you’ll see your momma soon.”

“Dada…” Selina murmured.

He kissed her daughters on their foreheads as he promised himself that he won’t let these two girls lose their mother. He was the only one who could save them…

“Get away from me!” Shiloh shouted at the top of her lungs when she was forcefully taken out of the room where she was locked for three days.

“Where are you going to take me?!”

But the two vampires who has taken her out of the room didn’t answer. They remained silent while they were dragging her to somewhere she didn’t know.

In a large room, which she believes that a throne room because she saw a throne and a long red carpet in front of her, the two vampires pushed her away.

A bat landed on the throne and it shifted into its original form, it is Alistair!

“Let me go home, please…” she pleaded. “It has been three days and I know that Loki has finally succeeded in getting back all the gemstones that were stolen from you!”

Alistair smiled. “Yes, he succeeded, you’re right. I didn’t expect him to succeed.”

“Then what are you waiting for? Let me go home now!” she shouted. “I can’t stay here any longer.”

“Oh no! I remembered I fooled all of you.”

She stopped, then her eyes widened. “What are you saying?”

Alistair laughed and then stood up. “I don’t have a plan on giving you back to him. You are the perfect candidate to be my wife.”

She angrily stood up from the ground. “No, I am not! I have daughters! My husband is waiting for me! I am not a vampire, I’m just a half-blood werewolf!”

“It doesn’t matter to me even though you’re just a half-blood. For as long as you have a wolf.”

She frustratedly gets on her knees. “Please… let me go.”

“No, Shiloh. You won’t be able to escape from now on.”
