161 Peace at last

When Kamara finally made it to the pack, she was taken aback by how much was going on. Caiden was welcomed with open arms by all, and she was no different. She refused to let another second pass before resolving their differences since she had been waiting too many days for this. The children were holding on to her skirt as she walked there. In addition, she had trouble getting through the front door, but security let her in right away.

"Miss Kamara, the Alpha is meeting with Alpha Stourin from the Mystic Moon pack," Oscar said with a big smile.

She sighed in frustration and said, "Okay, I'll wait."

"I will be defying an edict from Alpha Caiden if I permit this." He took Kamara by surprise. "You may go in; he gave the order for you and the children to be permitted to enter the main room whenever you please."

"Oscar, are you sure?" He nodded, and she gave him a wide, eager look. "If that's the case, I'll ask you to watch the kids while I talk with Caiden. Are you cool with that?"

Oscar wouldn't turn down a request like that. He grasped the boys' hands, and as they departed, leaving Kamara alone herself, they appeared eager to remain in Oscar's presence. The door in front of her caused her to inhale deeply, and the brief distance that separated her and Caiden was the toughest journey in her whole life. With optimism in her heart, she turned the doorknob and looked up at Caiden, who was embracing another woman.

It seemed like everything had fallen apart. He locked eyes with her, but Kamara saved him from witnessing her agony once more. Kamara pivoted and departed. She was at a loss as to how she had come to the wreckage of her former home so rapidly. She was having problems breathing because air was leaking out of her lungs. Her legs went limp and the tears choked her. She fell to her knees against the worn wall. She began to cry as she reminisced about all the times she had spent with Caiden.

She also had to come to terms with the fact that they couldn't be together. That was what destiny had for them. Her heart was ripped apart by the pain, and she was helpless to mend it.

Caiden broke through the excited group of people who had gathered to watch him on the opposite side of the pack. Right behind him was Nate.

"Alpha, what are you doing?" He forced Caiden to stop by grabbing his arm.

With great distress, he uttered, "Kamara was there. I have to go to her."

He smiled and continued, "Surely you've already made your choice."

"Tell everyone to get out of my pack." He gave an order. "I'm going to find the one I love."

While he sprinted through the city, he tried to predict Kamara's next move. He noticed her parents' old house in the distance and a spark of thought went through his head. Kamara would only visit one location in the pack when she was sad. As Caiden approached, he caught a glimpse of her sitting on the ground, her eyes closed.

Maybe she had never felt more exposed than she did just then. He moved cautiously and with difficulty so she wouldn't notice him coming.

He cautiously knelt in front of her, and it appeared as though Kamara had been anticipating him as she opened her eyes.

"How did you discover me?" She turned her face away from him and wiped away her tears hurriedly.

"Kamara, I still remember everything about you." She was weakened by his whisper. "What made you flee? How come you were inside the main building?"

It took her some time to work up the nerve to meet his eyes once more. After all this time, Caiden still had the same impact on her.

"I had to speak with you." She spoke without taking her eyes off of his. "But I understood that being close to you is not my destiny."

"Kamara, what are you talking about?" She saw the most exquisite smile of her life when he grinned at her.

"They're committed to helping you find a new mate." A lump appeared in her throat as she spoke. "And I promise not to obstruct your plans."

"I don't care what other people say about what I should do." He said, startling Kamara. I knew when I met you that no one could ever make me love someone as much as I loved you, even though I knew you weren't strong enough to be my mate. I rejected you and pushed you away but you were still on my mind."

She shed one more tear on her cheek.

"You brought up all the emotions I had buried for seven years when you returned and said I had four kids. I developed into a vicious, strong, and frequently nasty wolf. Inside, I felt dry. I had lost all self-worth until you came back and gave my life purpose once more."

She smiled as though hearing those words made her happy, since Kamara experienced the same exact thing.

"The moon goddess gave you to me and she had her reasons for doing so. Your are my strength and you belong with me, mate. She could pick dozens of women to be my mate, but she chose you for me. I want you, Kamara and not with other woman."

She leaned in to give him a kiss, and the smile became wider.

She sobbed, "Caiden, I love you."

Caiden said, "Kamara, I love you too. And I desire for you to be my Luna."

"All right, I'll be your Luna." He hugged her, pulling her up and giving her a hug, to which she accepted.

A destroyed childhood home provided Kamara with joy, but being an omega cursed her. She triumphed over her pain and discovered contentment in her werewolf love. Inside of her, the she-wolf howled.

"I was thinking about renovating this house." Glancing up at the broken tiles on the roof, Caiden remarked. "In honor of your parents."

"I agree, it will be evidence that an omega can also be happy," she said, her arms encircling his neck.

"And turn into a great pack's Luna."

He gave her another kiss as he heard the children laughing. Running through the house in the direction of Kamara and Caiden. Caiden had never felt happier or more contented in his life than he did at that precise moment.

"Daddy, where are we going?" Sterling enquired.

"We're returning home." He answered. "and after that I'll have you ready to rule over the strong pack as Alphas.”

"Which one of us will rule as the alpha, daddy?" Kyler enquired.

"You four will be alphas together." In response, he grabbed Noah and Lucas and clasped Kamara's hand. Her joy spread very wide. "But let's work toward our family's happiness in the interim. That is what awaits us."

Until they find love, alphas are renowned for being vicious, icy, and cruel. An alpha as fair as Caiden and a Luna as loving as Kamara were unheard of in the Moon Howlers pack.

The children's destiny was to surpass their parents.

Kamara and Caiden made love to each other when they got home, where Caiden marked her. Her wolf immediately grew stronger surprising them both.

"I should have done this a long time ago. I'm so sorry for taking this long, my love."

"It's alright honey. I have news."

"What is it? Did something happen?"

She chuckled, "Goddess, no Caiden. I'm pregnant. I don't know if it's the right time..."

Caiden shut her mouth with a deep kiss. "It's the right time, Ara. We're raising our kids together. Also I was thinking we should wed again."

"I would love that, my Alpha."

9 months later

"You need to push, Luna.." the doctor urged Kamara as Caiden stayed by her side with her hand in his.

"You can do it, my Luna. I'm here with you, okay?" Caiden soothed her.

"Aaaahhhhhhh......" Kamara screamed.

The boys were outside the ward with Lisa and Nate. They were worried.

"Grandma, When will mom be out? Will she be okay?" Sterling asked.

"Yes darling, she'll be fine." Lisa replied

"Daddy said we'll meet our little sister shortly. I can't wait." Kyler said

"Me too," Noah and Lucas said at once.

Thirty minutes later, they heard the cry of a baby and then another one.

After a while, the rest of the family was allowed in to see her.

Kamara had tears in her eyes as she looked at her daughters. They both had Caiden's hair and her eyes. One looked like her while the other had a striking resemblance to Lisa.

The boys looked shocked for a while, gawking at their sisters before they advanced and touched their red cheeks.

"They both look like me," said Noah.

"No they look like me," Kyler argued, making the adults laugh out loud and the rest of the boys joined in the argument.

"Thank you for this wonderful gift, Kamara Vance, my Luna, and all the happiness you have brought into my life. I love you so much."

"You've made me so happy too, my Alpha and I love you so much. What should we name them?" Kamara asked.

"What was your mother's name?" Caiden asked.

"Sara," she replied.

"Well, the first one is Sara and the second one will be called...."

"Krystal." Lisa said from behind, "I've always had that name in mind but I never had a daughter. I hope it sticks."

"Of course," Kamara said. "Sara and Krystal, my bundles of joy."

"Congratulations to the Alpha family. Ahh, this is a very wonderful moment." Nate said.

"Thanks man, now we await your mating ceremony." Caiden said, smiling.

The family went home and the pack rejoiced with them. Peace reigned at last in the Moon Howlers pack.
