Chapter 237

Back inside Laura's chamber.

"Ooh, I see, daciana has gotten away. Shit!" Laura exclaimed with gritted teeth, her gaze stared blankly at the window frame, and she couldn't help but feel disgusted.

"Thank God, it's time for me to finish you off" Ashina chipped in, making Laura shelve her thoughts.

Heaving a scoff, Laura did a robotic turn with her head to look at who just spoke. There were two enemies presented before her, and they are the cause of which Daciana was able to escape.

"There's no surviving for you, both of you" she snarled at them, pointing an index finger at the witch and Ashina who was raging furiously.

Deep down, Ashina felt grateful that Daciana was capable of escaping. Though both of them didn't get a chance smooth things, at least she got a chance to fight for her. That alone meant something, even if it doesn't to Daciana, it meant a lot to her. Besides, she still couldn't pay off the pain she had caused Daciana all those years.

This was more of a reason why she had to end this herself. Looking at Laura, she felt killing her would mean redemption for her, At least that was what Ashina was thinking all along

"Tell me, since when did you break off my spell?" Laura suddenly asked curiously but there was no reply. What rather came was snarling and gritting of teeth that filled the air.

Laura was stunned by this and decided to break it to their awareness.

"It's her, isn't it?" Laura added after being ignored. Her gaze traveled over to the witch in the veil, and she locked gazes at her…" Since when did you infiltrate my Castle?" She asked again, but there were vivid threats in her words.

On the other hand, the witch smirked. For just a brief moment, she praised herself for getting past the tough barrier which Laura used to cage the entire kingdom.

But guess what? It wasn't only Laura who was strong enough, she also was.

"Light would surely overpower darkness whether you like it or not" she replied with a smirk that got Laura infuriated.

"Tell me, who's light and who's the dark?" Laura cocked her head to the side and asked, her chest burning with flames of anger and disgust.

"I am the light, and you are the dark, one day that darkness will eat you up. Moreover, that day is today so rest assured you are going to die today" the witch replied with a shady smile creeping off her face.

If no one had thought to break it down to Laura, then she ought to. That had been her purpose for a while now. The only way she could feel peace was when she killed Laura and fed her blood to the graves of her fallen sisters.

"Wow? After poisoning me? Now tell me who's the dark one?" Laura blurted out, and it shocked the both of them.

Ashina who was by the side, letting her anger do the talking was dumbfounded by what she just heard.

It was shocking news that made her body stop in time.

"So… all these while you knew?" Ashina stuttered.

"Yes I do, and I have been waiting for your lots to fall inside my trap" Laura smirked at them.

Both the witch and Ashina were left sacred of their wits. They thought they were the ones taking the lead, but it was such a turnover.

"Shit" Ashina scoffed. She was running tired of all these and wanted to run Laura through. Run her claws so deep inside her and crush her heart up.

That was her intention and she ought to put it into reality. Just then, she leaped toward Laura with her intentions, but energy dragged her backward.

"Don't attack carelessly or you will die" the witch warned, she was the one who did that, or else Ashina would have been killed.

Right after this happened, a forcefield appeared visible right before Laura and it began to burn away like acid was dripping on it from the roof.

She smirked and tongue lashed her lips with cold eyes before speaking.

"You better head to the witch's words, anyway it doesn't matter, a werewolf doesn't have a chance against me" Laura smirked and out of the blue a spatial portal appeared just beneath Ashina and began to suck her in.

"What the hell is this?" Ashina groaned in pain as her eyes trailed down to where she was being sucked in and the worst of it was that she couldn't feel her lower body anymore. It felt as though it was being grinned deep inside the spatial portal.

"Oh no" the witch who was by the side shouted and set on her heels to come to save Ashina but she was hit by a barrier that sent her flying to a hardened wall.

"Death has come for you Ashina" Laura smirked as she was enjoying the view of this. With a snap of her fingers, she chanted some spell and the portal that Ashina was being sucked into began to whirl, squeezing itself around in circles alongside her.

"Ahh, No! Stop this!" Ashina yelled in pain as she was being crumpled on but to no avail.

Laura had made up their mind and her chants were doing the workings.

After a while of crumbling, Ashing busted into minced fractions. Even her bones were no longer recognized. What was left of her was just her blood that oozed around the vicinity, soaking it up.

"Now let's get back to the witch" Laura smirked as she was done with her hideous act. Her gaze was averted back to the entrance where the witch was, and she materialized right there in an instant.

Moreover, the witch detected some footsteps and quickly flickered her eyes open. What happened to Ashina reassembled in her head and she became more terrified. Her eyes surveyed the place, and she saw how drenched it was with blood.

"No! This can't be, she shouldn't be strong like this" she growled in fear. Her senses blacked out, and she started shuddering as though she was under a panic attack.

"Yes, and you should have known that. Want to know what I did to your sister?" Laura choked her from the side and planted her on the wall. She waited for a response but nothing came. With widened eyes, the witch gazed dead at her…" I sucked out their powers just like how I would do to you" Laura added and with just a chant, the witch's powers start sipping out of her body and penetrating Laura's body.

After a long while, the transmission kept happening, and after it was done, the witch turned into a shell and withered away while Laura stumbled to the back trying to contain the immense power dangling inside her body.

"Ooh I love this, let's see who can stop me now. Not even you, little nephew, or should I say, Bryan?" She muttered and sent dark chuckles around the vicinity.
