Spell X Miracle

Spell X Miracle
— I love you, my Luna! You are the greatest and most beautiful miracle of my life!

A spell… a miracle.

I dropped Derik's body on the floor and ran to the mirror. I was unrecognizable, dirty with my Alpha's rotten blood on my body and face. As I punched the mirror, shards of glass fell to the floor. I picked up the largest and sharpest and ran back to my Alpha.

Rebecca told me so many times, and Luna Esmeralda proved to me, I am Luna, I was born Luna and I will be Luna even as a human!

— You are my Alpha, no tramp witch will take you from me!

— No, female, you can't do that, you're pregnant!

— Our pup is an Alpha, like his father, he can handle it!

I cut my wrist and let the blood flow into Derik's mouth and down his throat. It wouldn't heal him, but it would buy me time. It was a blood spell and my blood was pure.

However, my gammas arrived running and General Adanir came towards me, trying to prevent me from completing my intent. His silver eyes indicated that I was in mortal danger. I felt my chest burn and ache like never before, an energy I didn't know took hold of me. My She-Wolf was dormant, so whose voice came out of my mouth and didn't sound like mine?

— Stay away, gamma, your Luna commands you!

Adanir tried to approach me, but his feet seemed to be glued to the ground.

My gums hurt a lot, my teeth grew more than usual, and I instinctively bit Derik's neck. He groaned in pain and convulsed, but soon his body relaxed when I injected the toxin. To my surprise, I started to ingest his blood, even against my will, something stronger than me was acting in my body.

Derik stopped bleeding from his pores and his breathing was normal. Only then, I stood up, and the gammas knelt before me, along with Derik's guards. I felt stronger, more alive....

What was happening to me?

— Where is my pup!—  I asked. The aura I exuded was extremely strong, the wolves in the room couldn't lift their heads, Gama Adanir stared at me, surprised.

Well... I was surprised, too, but I didn't have time to think about it.

— Beta Eli went to get him, by the Alpha's orders, from Lord Agar's cabin. The old lord is dead, my Luna!

The image of the old healer's kind eyes came to my mind. He didn't deserve to die like that, he was so full of life and wisdom... All because of her...

Hira!

A wretched witch feeding on death and suffering!

— Where is that bitch Hira?— I had so much rage bubbling inside me that I felt like my body would implode.

— We don't know, Luna! We rushed here to ensure your safety, all your gammas are in the courtyard on alert.

One of Derik's guards came running, but collapsed to his knees when he saw Derik's bloody body on the floor.

— Oh, no, we're lost! The Alpha... is dead?

— He's alive, wolf! Put him on the bed. Call some deltas to take care of him during my absence!— I ordered.

Some gammas picked Derik up from the floor and put him on the bed, and the newly arrived guard stood up. Kneeling again before me.

— Where are you going, Luna? — Adanir asked, worried.

I'm going to find the bitch who dared to hurt my male!

— Luna, that's why I came, Hira is coming to the mansion with soldiers and a large part of the pack's political elite, they are surrounding the courtyard.

— A riot, Luna! — Beta Eli said, distressed, as he entered the room with Rael in his arms. — Hira gathered the guards and females loyal to her, they accuse you of Rael's and the Alpha's death! She's shouting to everyone that you're a witch! One of the guards told me everything on his way here.

Wretched female! How dare she try to frame me and blame me for the evil she tried to do?

— Mommy Nadja!— Rael raised his little arms, asking to be held. I picked up the pup and hugged him, trying to convey security.

— She's challenging you. She believes the Alpha is dead and wants revenge by blaming you for the assassination.

— She has no right! — Adanir roared, his silver eyes once again.

— She's not alone, two elders from the wolf council are with her, supporting the challenge request.

— She wants to fight me to the death?— I asked, slowly letting the air out of my lungs.

— You can't fight her, Luna, Hira is a warrior Beta, and you...

— I'm too weak and can't fight, is that what you mean?

— Forgive me, my Luna, I don't mean to offend you, but the Alpha needs you, the whole pack needs you! I know a secret exit from the territory, we can escape through there until the Alpha recovers and returns to take hos throne back.

— Beta, why are council members here, precisely today?

— Hira must have planned everything, they must be accomplices! You need to escape, Luna, you can't fall into her trap! — Adanir argued.

His first impulse, with his silver eyes, would be to drag me out by force, but my aura was too strong for him to confront me.

I didn't have much time to think about it. It was time to be practical, to show why Hecate had chosen me!

Beta, go out the back and gather the generals loyal to Alpha Derik, prepare them for war. Astor, take as many females as you can to a safe place, especially your omegas. — He nodded, grateful. — Adanir, I want your best guards protecting the Alpha!

— Luna, our mission is to protect you, we cannot go against our nature.

— Gamma, if my Alpha dies, my pup and I will die with him, protecting him now is protecting me!

Adanir stared at me, hesitant, but nodded, listening to the voice of reason.

If Hira wanted war, she wouldn't have to wait long!

I left the room with Rael in my arms and headed for the Courtyard. My gammas behind me, as attentive as the perfect predators they are. Regardless of my physique, I made an effort to appear confident and haughty. I walked with determination, but without haste, my posture erect and my head held high.

When I arrived in the courtyard, I spotted Hira in the middle of the crowd, shouting baseless and false accusations at everyone. She was radiant, beautiful, dressed for battle. Her incisive speech aimed to undermine the pack's trust in me.
