A Fight For Her

A Fight For Her
Panic flared in his chest, and his eyes scanned the area frantically. That was when he heard it—a heart-stopping wail of pain.

His blood ran cold as the scent of fear and blood filled his nostrils. Without hesitation, he bolted towards the sound, his heart pounding in his chest.

Seraphina had tried to run, but the moment she stepped out of the river, she was met with a growl that froze her in place.

From the shadows emerged a massive wild boar, its tusks gleaming menacingly as it charged at her.
Wolves and boars had long been enemies, the boars known for their viciousness and relentless attacks on the wolves' territory. And now, one of those beasts had cornered her.

The boar struck, and Seraphina barely managed to dodge, but its tusk grazed her leg, tearing through her flesh.

She cried out in pain, stumbling backward, her hands trembling as she tried to fend off the creature with a fallen branch.

It wasn’t enough. The boar was relentless, it's dark eyes filled with rage as it charged again.
She tried to run, but her leg gave out, sending her crashing to the ground.

Just as the boar was about to strike again, Adolphus burst onto the scene, his eyes blazing with fury.
With a snarl, he lunged at the boar, his powerful form crashing into it and sending it sprawling.

The two clashed, Adolphus using his strength to fend off the beast while keeping one eye on Seraphina.
The fight was brutal, the boar’s tusks cutting into his skin, but Adolphus fought with the ferocity of a wolf protecting his mate.
Finally, with a savage growl, he sank his teeth into the boar’s throat, ending the fight.

Panting heavily, Adolphus turned to Seraphina, his heart clenching at the sight of her lying wounded and pale on the ground.

He rushed to her side, dropping to his knees, his hands trembling as he reached out to her. “Seraphina,” he breathed, his voice filled with panic. “What were you thinking? Why did you run?”

Seraphina glared at him through her pain, her voice weak but defiant. “I wanted to get away from you,” she spat, clutching her bleeding leg.

Adolphus’s jaw tightened, anger and fear swirling within him. “You could have died!” he snapped, his eyes blazing with a mix of fury and desperation. “Do you have any idea what that would have done to me?”

She struggled to sit up, wincing as pain shot through her leg. “Maybe I wouldn’t have to run if you hadn’t kidnapped me,” she shot back, her voice shaking with emotion.

Adolphus’s face darkened, his hands balling into fists. “I did what I had to do,” he growled, but the anger in his voice was laced with guilt. He reached out to touch her, but she slapped his hand away.

“Stay away from me!” she cried, her eyes flashing with a mix of anger and fear. “I don’t need your help!”

But as the adrenaline faded, Seraphina’s strength began to wane. Her vision blurred, and the world started to spin around her.

She tried to push herself up, but her body refused to cooperate. “Seraphina,” Adolphus’s voice softened, his anger giving way to concern as he watched her falter. “You’re hurt. You need to rest.”

“I don’t need anything from you,” she whispered, her voice barely audible as darkness began to close in around her.
But before she could say more, her body went limp, and she collapsed into his arms.

Adolphus caught her, his heart pounding with fear as he held her close. “Seraphina,” he murmured, his voice shaking with emotion. “Please, stay with me.” He gathered her up in his arms, cradling her against his chest as he stood.

Without wasting another moment, he turned and sprinted back towards the kingdom, his mind racing with thoughts of how to save her.

As he carried her through the forest, Adolphus’s mind was a storm of emotions.

Fear, guilt, anger, and a deep, overwhelming love for the woman in his arms.
He knew she hated him, and he couldn’t blame her.
But the thought of losing her, the one person who had ever made him feel truly alive, was unbearable.

When they reached the safety of his home, Adolphus laid Seraphina down gently on the bed, his hands shaking as he checked her wounds.

The cuts weren’t too deep, but the sight of her blood made his heart clench with fear.

He couldn’t lose her. Not like this. Not when he hadn’t even begun to make things right.

As the maids rushed in to tend to Seraphina, Adolphus stepped back, his chest heaving with a mix of fear and exhaustion.

He watched as they cleaned her wounds and wrapped her in warm blankets, his mind racing with a thousand thoughts.

He had saved her, but at what cost? Would she ever forgive him for what he had done? Or was this just another step in their tragic, twisted fate?

As the maids worked, Adolphus sank into a chair by the bed, his eyes never leaving Seraphina’s pale face. He couldn’t bear to be apart from her, even now.
He needed to be close to her, to protect her, even if it meant facing her wrath when she woke up.
