Chapter 16

No, the explosion didn't come from Theresia but from a man who had just appeared. Suddenly Theresia and Aiden turned to look at the man with a confused look, especially Theresia who immediately neutralized her strength again. While Aiden bounced against one of the trees.

Aiden cursed in his heart, his sharp eyes stared at Ace who had just come and attacked him. As soon as a red aura came out of Aiden's body, he was naturally angry. Because all his plans were thwarted by a handsome man who just came.

"Damn it! Who are you to interfere with my plans!" snapped Aiden emotionally.

While Ace kept a straight face, looking at Aiden with an air of hostility, he wouldn't let anyone disturb or hurt his mate. Because for a werewolf mate is everything. A few moments later, Ace's gaze turned to Theresia who was still sitting still. Seeing the blank stares and tears running down Theresia's cheeks, Ace became worried. The man quickly approached Theresia, and knelt in front of her.

"Are you okay? Are you hurt?" asked Ace. His hand reached out to gently caress the top of Theresia's head, I don't know since when Ace who had been cold and indifferent suddenly became a concern in front of his mate.

Theresia, who was originally looking down, now looks up and looks at Ace with a sad look. He didn't say a word, it was too hard to say everything. Her heart is now broken because the only reason she is alive is now gone.

"Hey.. Did she make you like this?" Ace asked again with great emphasis, his hands clenched into fists as he turned to look at Aiden who was behind him.

Theresia is still reluctant to speak, silence is her choice this time. While Ace seems to have been emotional, it can be seen from his face and eyes that turn yellow. Theresia doesn't care, she just wants to shut up and calm down now.

How dare you interfere with my business!" Aiden did not remain silent, he responded to Ace's blows brutally without mercy. Vampires are not the type to just give in, Aiden really doesn't like it when someone interferes in his affairs.

While Ace doesn't want to give in, finally the fight between the two ensues. No one wants to give in or just give a chance to fight, they are equally angry and emotional. Attacking each other with their respective strengths, until the trees around them were affected.

"Why are you interfering in my business! What is your relationship with that woman?" Aiden asked in between their fight.

Ace smiled crookedly then said, "The woman you are after is my mate! And no one will be able to interfere with the mate of an alpha werewolf!" After saying that, Ace brought out his power. Attacking Aiden right in the chest, making Aiden fall back down. Because Ace knows the chest is the weakness of the vampire nation.

"Arghh.. Damn it!" Aiden cursed holding his aching chest.

"How can that damn woman be the mate of an alpha wrerewolf?" muttered Aiden clenching his fists.

"How dare you call my mate a damn woman! Do you want to die, ha?" Ace's ears seem to be very sharp, even Aiden's very soft words can be heard.

"Get out of here now! Or I assure you that you will never be able to live again!" threatened Ace with great emphasis.

Aiden fell silent when Ace walked slowly towards him, he acknowledged that Ace's strength was greater than him. Because Aiden still loves life, he finally chose to leave there. Her safety is more important right now, Theresia's business can be another time.

After Aiden left, Ace took a deep breath. He brushed his hair back with his fingers, and clapped his hands together as a sign that his business was done. Ace turned to Theresia who was still silent in her place, making her even more curious about what really happened.

"Come on! I'll take you home," Ace said softly, very different from the tone he spoke with Aiden earlier.

Theresia looked up staring at Ace, his perfect and handsome face made Theresia momentarily fail to focus. Their eyes met, Ace's sweet smile made Theresia pause for a moment. Somehow a Teresa was mesmerized by Ace's beauty when she was in mourning.

"Hey.. Come on!" Ace spoke again.

That voice broke Teresa's thoughts, she stared at Ace's outstretched hand in front of her for a moment. Then he hesitantly returned Ace's outstretched hand. Suddenly, a sweet smile came back from Ace's face.

"Come on princess," Ace teased gently holding Theresia's hand, then pulled her slowly out of the forest.

During the way out of the forest, the smile on Ace's lips didn't stop. gone missing. His hand continued to grip Theresia's hand tightly, as if he didn't want to lose her. Ace really sincerely likes and loves Theresia, even though at first he really rejected the mate determined by the Moon Goddess. But now it's precisely him who doesn't want to be far from Theresia.

While Theresia continues to walk limply with a blank look, occasionally glancing at her hand which is being tightly gripped by the man beside her.

"Why do you want to meddle in my business?" Theresia asked quietly.

The question Theresia threw suddenly made Ace stop in his tracks, he turned around with a small smile. Ace is happy that Theresia finally wants to speak up.

"Should I be quiet if my mate is disturbed?" Instead of answering, Ace just asked back.

Theresia looked away, she didn't like it when Ace called her mate. After all, Theresa didn't want to have anything to do with the werewolves. "Stop calling me mate! But, thanks for helping me fight that guy," he said releasing his hand from Ace's grip.

"If I may know, why did he bother you? Why were you crying? Did he attack you?" asked Ace again, his hands unknowingly touching Theresia's shoulders. Seen from his gaze, the man looked worried.

Theresia looked at Ace's eyes briefly, then shook Ace's hands violently. "This is my problem, don't interfere," he answered simply. Then turned and walked away from Ace.

Ace closed his eyes for a moment, he knew convincing Theresia wasn't easy. So Ace must have the stock of patience to have Teresa completely.

"If you need a friend to talk to, come to me! And if you need help, let me know too. Whatever your refusal, I will always be by your side Theresia!" shouted Ace loudly.

Hearing Ace's shout, Theresia suddenly stopped her steps. For some reason the corners of his lips pulled up, forming a sweet smile.
