Chapter 112 Your New Home

Chapter 112 Your New Home

Stephanie's POV

"Your new home." Amanda's smile was bright enough to make me blink.

I froze where I stood. New home? The words didn't seem to fit in my head.

"Come on. Let's go take a look," Frederick said.

We stepped into the private elevator and rode it straight to the top floor. When the doors slid open, a long corridor stretched out before us, silent and pristine. At the far end stood a single door, heavy and imposing.

Amanda pulled a key from her bag and turned the lock. The door swung open, and I stepped inside.

The sight hit me like a wave.

"Do you like it?" Amanda's voice was close, warm.

I found myself standing in front of a wall of glass, staring out at the horizon, unable to speak. The penthouse was massive—at least five hundred square meters.

The living room soared upward with a six-meter ceiling, a crystal chandelier dripping light like a river of stars. Pale marble floors gleamed underfoot, veined with delicate patterns.

Each piece of furniture seemed to hold its breath, steeped in classical beauty, the kind you'd expect to find behind velvet ropes in a museum.

But nothing compared to the view. An entire wall was made of glass, framing the endless sea beyond. It was dusk, and the clouds along the horizon were brushed in shades of orange and red. The water caught the fading sunlight, scattering it into molten gold.

"This…" I turned to Amanda. "You're saying this is my new home?"

"Yes," she said, walking over, her smile widening. "The keys are yours."

She pressed a heavy set of keys into my palm. I stared at them, my mind struggling to catch up.

"But why… suddenly?"

"You'll be coming to the Pack headquarters often now," Frederick explained. "It's exhausting to travel back and forth every time. So Amanda and I decided to get you a place here."

Isabelle joined us, her expression proud. "Amanda worked hard to get this property. The previous owner refused to sell."

Amanda waved a hand. "That was because his asking price was ridiculous. I added fifty million to it, and he changed his mind."

My heart thudded hard. Fifty million… I didn't even want to calculate the original price. A penthouse this size, on the coast, in the best district near Pack headquarters… it had to be worth at least two hundred million.

"Amanda…" I didn't know what to say.

"Don't overthink it," she said, patting my hand. "You've earned this."

She tugged me toward the stairs. "Come on, let's see the rest."

The master bedroom was on the second floor. When she opened the door, I was hit by another wave of awe. A massive round bed sat in the center, framed by velvet curtains. The room had its own walk-in closet and a private bathroom.

The bathroom held a tub large enough for three people, positioned directly in front of the glass wall. You could soak in warm water while watching the ocean stretch out forever.

"This is…"

"Too much?" Amanda laughed. "I think it's just right."

She gestured toward the closet. "I've already stocked it with some clothes. All custom-made to your size."

I stepped inside. The shelves and racks were overflowing—clothes, shoes, handbags. Every single item was from a top-tier brand.

I took a deep breath. Stay calm. This was Amanda's gift. I couldn't reject it.

"Thank you," I said, meaning it.

"You silly girl," she said, ruffling my hair.

We toured the rest of the penthouse: a study, a fully equipped gym, even a small private theater. Every room was a statement of luxury.

Back in the living room, Frederick glanced at his watch. "It's about time to head out."

"Where to?" I asked.

"A private restaurant," he said. "I've arranged to meet a few old friends for dinner."

Private restaurant? Old friends? I remembered what he'd said earlier—introducing me to people who could help with tomorrow's business.

"Is this… a matchmaking dinner?" The question slipped out before I could stop it.

Frederick paused, then burst into laughter so hard his eyes watered. "Matchmaking? You really have some wild ideas."

Isabelle laughed too. "No, not matchmaking. These are people who will be very important to you."

Important to me? My curiosity sharpened.

"Let's go," Amanda said. "You'll understand when we get there."

We took the elevator down. Outside, night had settled over the city. The sea breeze carried a briny scent, cool against my skin. I inhaled deeply, feeling a flicker of nervousness. I had no idea who Frederick intended to introduce me to.

The drive was short—ten minutes at most. We stopped on a street lined with buildings that looked like they belonged to another century.

The buildings rose in dignified silence, their stone facades weathered by decades of wind and rain, each one carrying the weight of forgotten stories.

Plane trees stood sentinel along the sidewalks, their branches swaying gently under the glow of warm amber streetlamps.

"This used to be a district for the wealthy," Isabelle explained. "Now many of the buildings have been converted into fine restaurants or private clubs."

We pulled up in front of a three-story building. Ivy climbed the outer walls, lush and green even under the night sky. At the entrance stood a young man in a black suit, tall and broad-shouldered, with sharply cut features.

As soon as he saw our car, he approached, greeting us with a respectful nod. His gaze shifted to me.

"And this is…?"

"My granddaughter, Stephanie Valerius," Frederick introduced.

The man's eyes lit up. "Miss Valerius," he said, extending his hand. "I'm Oscar Turner. It's a pleasure to meet you."

Oscar Turner? I took his hand. "Hello."

"Oscar is Ivan's grandson," Frederick said. "He's your age."

Ivan Turner… the name clicked in my mind. Turner Pack, oil magnates, one of the most influential families in the Pack headquarters.

"Please, come in," Oscar said, gesturing toward the door.

We followed him inside. The interior retained its old-world charm—an antique fireplace, oil paintings on the walls, and furniture that looked like it belonged in a collector's gallery. The atmosphere was rich but understated.

Oscar led us upstairs, chatting with Frederick as we went. "You're looking well," he said. "How's your health?"

"Better than ever," Frederick replied. "And your grandfather?"

"He's in the private room, waiting. When he heard you were bringing your granddaughter, he was thrilled."

The door swung wide under Oscar's hand, releasing the mingled breath of cigars and red wine into the hallway.

Beyond the threshold sat not only familiar faces, but power—raw and dangerous enough to unsettle the whole Werewolf Alliance.
