Chapter 83 Chapter 83: Thanks For Your Help

Chapter 83 Chapter 83: Thanks For Your Help
LUCIEN'S POV

“Radiel is the Alpha to a pack now” My father declared.

I suspected as much. A man didn't go into war if he didn't have men who would died for him.

“Which pack is it?” I questioned, we needed to find a way to nip the war in the bud.

“The Niverine pack” I nodded sharply, my expression grim.

The Niverine are know for their multitude. Their birth rate was higher than normal due to the presence of the Gankontree in their lands.

It is said to increase fertility anywhere it takes root.

But I had 36 other packs on my side, the Niverine didn't stand a chance.

“Thanks for your help, Old man” I teased as I stood to my feet.

“Try not to let the whole world fall into his hands” my father replied, staring out through the window.

“I won't” I told him before I walked out of his room.

“All the times you visited the pack house you never for once came knocking on my door” my brother let out as I pulled the door to the pack house open.

“We don't have anything to discuss” I threw over my shoulder as I stepped out.

After all this years, I had learnt my lesson with my brother.

I wasn't going to fall for his cheap act again.

“I wasn't done talking, Knight” he hissed out behind me.

I let out a frustrated sigh, turning to face him squarely.

“But I am done listening to you” I opened the door to my car and was about to enter when he spoke again.

“If you know what is good for you leave Aria for Kieran” I slammed my door shut at his words, anger boiling within me.

“You seem to forget your place, brother.” I gritted out, watching as he shifted away from me.

“Tell Kieran I would gladly take him out if he ever thinks Ari would be his” I snapped out as I entered into my car.

I sped down the road to my apartment, his words making me tighten my hand around the wheel of my car.

I drove the car into the garage, slamming the door shut behind me as I got out.

I nodded in reply to the security who greeted me.

With a press of my key pad against the door I was inside my house.

I walked straight into my room, shedding off my clothes.

I glanced at the wall clock, it was just 1:30pm. It was going to be a couple of hours before i would go pick Ari up.

“Jerriq, are the men gathered?” I questioned. I had sent him a text before I left the moonlight pack.

“Yes, Alpha. They are all present here” He responded.

“Good, I would be there soon” I said into the call before I hung up.

I got dressed, picking up my phone before I stepped out of my apartment.

The Niverine pack wasn't more than a few kilometers to moonlight pack.

I had it in good fate they would try to strike here first.

I had asked Jerriq to gather agile men from each pack quietly.

There were still more more on their way, we had to make our move soon.

Immediately I got to the cabin my men had built for the new men coming, I nodded my head at the sight I saw.

One of the Betas in my team was training them. Good.

“Alpha” Jerriq bowed immediately I got out of my car.

“Jerriq, you have done a good job” I commented patting his shoulder.

“About what you asked me to look into, she seems to have return back to the city but I lost traces of her” Jerriq disclosed.

Once I laid my hands on her, I would make sure she doesn't have the ability to plan anymore.

I am so hungry.

Ari’s thought filtered into my mind, making me chuckle.

She could be so cute at times. “Is there something wrong?” Jerriq questioned.

I cleared my throat, my smile fading. “Nothing, why don't we all spar today?” I offered, walking towards the soldiers.

I ordered a cake and other small chops for Ari before I chuckled off my shirt.

Sweat dripped down my face as I watched the moves of the man before me.

None of them knew I was the Alpha King. That only showed how bad I was at the PR thing.

The way his shoulders titled forward a bit was his tell.

He swung his fist at me, his other hand swing to hit me right in the abdomen.

I hit his hand causing him to bend on a knee.

“Try not to be so obvious with your moves” I corrected.

“Noted” he grunted out, his eyes pinned on my face as he warmed up again.

“By the way, isn't the Alpha King suppose to be here?” He rumbled out, dodging one of my hits.

I stayed silent, not replying him. It was in moments like this one discover how those under one view them.

“He seems to be a pretty good leader, it would be a privilege to fight with someone like him”

I hit him squarely on the chest then, sending him flying into the ground.

“Learn not to be distracted in a fight, get up” I ordered, a hand stretched towards him.

By the time we were done, I found two missed calls from Ari.

“Hey,baby” she said into the call immediately she picked up.

A smile ticked my lips up at her endearment. To think I thought once upon a time she was off limits.

“Are you done with work?” I questioned, the sound of someone bidding her goodbye making its way into the call.

“Almost” she replied. I didn't want a repeat of last time to happen, I would pick her up myself.

“I would be there soon”

“My car is actually with me, I would catch up with you at your apart-”

A hoarse cry of pain drew my attention away from the call I was making.
