As the night got deeper, Felipe decided to walk home with his new servant, Charlotte. Felipe's house is just a few steps away from the Alabama market and the dark road was filled with silence. Charlotte is holding her knife digger in case someone tries to hurt her again. Whereas, Felipe was complacent and leaned his head on his hands, which were raised behind his back. There were no other warriors passing by, and he could see the fear and dread for safety on Charlotte's face.
"Trust me, no one will hurt you especially when I'm here by your side. I'm still good and can keep up with the young warriors despite my age," Felipe said complacently. After a while, they arrived at the wooden house surrounded by broad-leaved trees.
"I live in this tacky old house alone so pardon me for the mess. I didn't even think about having it repaired. It would cost me too much if I had it fixed. Besides, I'm too old, so dying in this old house isn't that bad," Felipe opened the door knob of his house and let Charlotte in first.
A thick layer of dust has built up on all the shelves. There are cobwebs in the corners. The drains are clogged with hair. There are smudges on the windows and mirrors. Alcohol bottles, cigarette filters, weapons, and armors were cluttered. Felipe scratched his head and apologized for the mess Charlotte found. "See, this is really the reason why I want to have a maid here in my house. I'm very busy with my job and I don't have time to clean up the mess in front of you?"
Since the entire dungeon Charlotte lived in was also messy, the cluttered things were no longer new to her. She picked up the bottles from the floor, and Felipe helped her put them in a corner.
"Sit down Charlotte," Felipe said after they picked up all the cluttered bottles on the floor.
Charlotte sat down so did Felipe.
"You have nothing else to do but follow my orders. You will be the only one left in this house when I left for work!"
"Is it that easy?" asked Charlotte.
"Yes, do you want to sleep? As I told you, there is another room here you can sleep in."
"I'm glad you talked about that. I am so tired and longing for a rest!"
Felipe stood up and led Charlotte to her small room. He locked the door and quickly removed his armor. Charlotte turned to him and saw that he was partially naked. Felipe pulled out his knight sword and pointed it at Charlotte. "Undress and do as I say, you whore!"
Charlotte breathed heavily as she didn't see it coming. "Why do you want to force me to undress? I thought you wanted to help me?"
Felipe yelled angrily. "Just shut your fucking mouth and do as I say, do you think I am doing this crap to help a slut like you? That is a dumb question!"
Charlotte took out her knife digger and held it with both hands. "I never expected it would be useful, come and get me if you want, old freak. I thought you were a kind creature but I was wrong. You took my heart so you could have me here in your tacky house!"
"Don't expect to get out of here unless you follow my wishes, Charlotte," Felipe warned as he dragged his feet to where Charlote was standing, his knight sword firmly in his grasp.
Charlotte retreated back. She knew that her knife was useless against his sword so she resorted to shouting in the hopes that someone will come and rescue her. "Somebody please helppppppp!"
Alexander heard her loud voice as he was sleeping on top of the tree above Felipe's house. He immediately leaped on Felipe's roof and made a hole using his celestial sword, then jumped inside the room. When Felipe saw his solemn expression, he immediately retreated.
"That was too close, ugly bastard warrior, you thought no one is going to rescue her? What a shame?"
"I have no business with you so get lost, amateur warrior!" Felipe said in a mocking way.
Alexander pointed his celestial sword at Felipe. "Leave her alone or I will cut off your head!"
Felipe sighed. "Who are you son of a bitch?"
"You have no right to know me, stay away from Charlotte!"
Charlotte ran to Alexander and hugged him. He returned his sword and hugged Charlotte's warm body. Then, he took the digger knife on her hand. "I am glad to arrive just in time, stay at my back and I'll take care of this old pervert!"
"Underestimating me, are we?" said Felipe. "That young beautiful warrior at your back is a prostitute, I told her to undress but she refused to do it even when I paid her two gold coins!"
Alexander turned around to face the scumbag who wants to take advantage of Charlotte. "Liar, I already met her earlier and I have been following her all the way here so I know she is not a prostitute!"
Felipe attacked Alexander with his knight sword. Alexander only used his knife digger and yet, he was able to injure Felipe's cheek and kick him in the stomach, causing him to retreat.
"You move so sluggishly, this digger knife I'm holding is more than enough to beat your ass!" Alexander boasted. "You still have a time to surrender, old fool!"
Felipe was triggered and was about to attack but Alexander threw his digger knife and hit Felipe in his chest who fell to the floor.
"No, why did you kill him Alexander?" Charlotte asked covering her mouth with her hand in shock. "The authorities will surely come after you!"
Alexander went down to check Felipe's pulse in his wrist and confirmed that he was dead. He pulled out his digger knife and went to the kitchen to wash the stained blood on the knife. Charlotte followed him.
"Why did you kill him Alexander?"
Alexander turned off the faucet and looked at Charlotte. "There is nothing to worry about, I can justify my actions to the warrior servants of the King. I am allowed to kill anyone I found guilty of crime, as Prince Arthur told me!"
Alexander threw the knife digger, which was immediately caught by Charlotte. "You're not really from here, are you? But you don't have to tell me the truth about your personality. If you want to have a job, come with me, because I have a quest with a 10 gold coin prize waiting for me once I succeed!"
"What is that quest?" asked Charlotte.
"Let's kill a sea monster named Hydra, many warriors have accepted the mission but they end up dead due to its terrifying powers!"
Charlotte immediately refused his offer. "I might not be useful to you, in fact I might just be a burden if I come with you on that quest!"
"Don't worry, I can handle the sea monster alone. I just need someone to watch and marvel at me!" bragged Alexander.
Charlotte's face reddened because of excitement. "Okay, but please let me do something to help you. I just can't swallow my pride and let you do all the work while I sit and watch you!"
"Fine, it's settled then. Let us get out of this place and go to the market. I'm gonna buy you a katana sword... that is a pre-requisite to all the warrioress of Alabama!"
"At this late night?"
"Yes, there is a morning shift and a night shift market. Usually the armor sellers are required to be open at all times as warriors and warrioress might need something from them. King Bartholomeo is prioritizing his warriors to avoid being incompetent during battle, security comes first!"
Charlotte joined Alexander and they went to Alabama Market again. There were almost no stores opened except for the armor supplies store they dropped by. The dark circles under the eyes of merchant warriors makes Charlotte realize that they have been working for extended hours. After Alexander bought a katana for Charlotte, they immediately walked into a vast forest and stopped when they reached the cave where Charlotte got dressed. She rolled her eyes but could not see the clothes she left behind.
"If you are looking for the dress you left, I already burned it! Alabamanian warriors know that kind of dress came from the Kingdom of Canopus. If they caught you wearing that dress, they might report you to King Bartholomeo who despises your kind so much!"
"Thank you so much for caring about me!"
"Nothing! Go to sleep and I'll watch over you!"
Alexander lay down and leaned his back against the wall. He was surprised when Charlotte lay on his lap until she fell asleep. The sun's rays hit Charlotte's eyes and she slowly opened her eyes to wake up. She got up and noticed that Alexander was not there. She was about to leave the cave when she saw a woman walking towards her. She squinted to have a clear vision of the woman but she could barely see her.
"How are you Charlotte?"
Charlotte recognized the voice of the being who called her name and smiled. "I haven't seen you in a while Star gazer Venus, I am doing just fine in this nation!"
Star gazer Venus used her magic to let Charlotte see her face. "Yes, it's me and I would like to ask if you are doing your mission?"
Charlotte attempts to hug Venus but her hands pass through her body. "What's going on? Why can't I touch your body, Star gazer?" she asked in wonder.
"It's just part of my projection, I can't use my full power because I'm also a captive of Abaddon who restrained all magicians with anti-magic chains, yet I am lucky enough that I have more stamina than the rest of their captives!"
Charlotte frowned. "What? Don't tell me that Abaddon has completely conquered my father's entire kingdom?"
"Indeed, when you left, I saw them still fighting. But Abaddon and his werewolf servants were so strong that King Solomon was easily defeated!"
"Where is my father? Is he with you now?" Charlotte said worriedly.
"They separated me from their other captives, I'm sorry but your father's body and face were full of bruises when I saw him earlier. The same thing happened to your sisters and mother!"
Charlotte nodded in sadness. "I'm useless, I didn't even do something to help save them!"
"Don't give up, Charlotte! Like I told you before, you need to see your fated zodiac sign because he will help to save your family and reclaim your kingdom from the hands of Abaddon!"
"B-but a zodiac warrior here in Alabama told me, they hate us so much. How can I convince them to help us with our problems?"
"You must make your fated man fall in love so you can convince him to help us!"
"Do you think Abaddon is planning to kill my family?"
"I can't say that thing yet but I can't rule out the possibility of that happening so you should complete your mission as soon as possible. What is the name of the zodiac warrior you mentioned earlier?"
"His name is Alexander and he is a great warrior with nice looks who saved me twice," said Charlotte as she was thrilled to tell his name.
"I see, don't keep your sight off of him and please be careful in this area. I heard a lot of rumors that there are many abusive warriors around here!"
"You don't have to worry, Alexander is always there to protect me, Star gazer!"
"I hope he is the fated man we've been looking for, so he can help us win against the werewolf tribe. By the way, I am almost out of power to maintain my projection. Don't worry, I will continue to guide you until you come to our kingdom again with your fated man!"
