Chapter Thirty Four - Can You Escape With A Cursed Lost Wolf?

After traveling for six hours, they finally get to the hut behind the AoW pack house and deep opposite to the Wasteland.

Austin sighs, and groans, "Isn't there a way to heal this?"

"Only a demon can." Alfred insinuates. Festus mind links George in their demon mind link and scoffs, telling him that they are aware he's a demon.

"Kellie, can you tell your mate to try some sort of healing on me?"

"I'll reveal your identity too if I discover they really know now."

"George, can you heal Austin? He really needs his teeth again." Kellie tells George.

"Didn't you clearly hear that only a demon can do that?" George plays along as Festus scoffs.

"Aren't you a demon?" Someone suddenly approaches them in the hut. "Are you or not?!"

"Who is this, please?" George squints his eyes as he sees others standing to their feet in attention, should anything wanna occur again. The person scoffs, and clicks his tongue. Then, with twisting of his hands, Austin's teeth are replaced. Austin doesn't even notice until he spoke out clearly as they walk.

"Hey, thank you!" He yells, seeing the demon going far into the air. "I didn't remember!"

"You should never term Festus as irresponsible." Alfred says as they hide under a shield outside the hut. "You're also..."

"Are you nuts? What do you mean?" Kellie barks at him. "Please, know how to control your slimy tongue."

"What!" Douglas exhales. "Slimy? Isn't he saying the truth?"

"He is." Austin comes in. "If not for that demon, his other part, would my teeth have been restored?"

Kellie links the situation of the day when Kelvin fights the vampires in the pack, that time George hasn't gotten the demon power. Kellie saw him twisting his hands and the vampires getting weak. She saw him yell and all the vampires disappear at once while the injured wolves get healed simultaneously. She links this sight with how he disappeared into thin air and fought the monsters.

"Hmm..." Kellie sighs. "... let's not talk about it again."

"Always defending her mate." Festus softly chuckles. "If only you were..."

"Better not complete it." George replies, haggardly. "I will have to mind link Martin, Charles and Kimberly together through the pack's mind link. Please, do not say a word."

"Please, do not move away." He adds. "From here."

"Hello! You haven't mind linked me for any updates yet."

"Hello George." Charles speaks up. "It's been a while I heard your voice. Kimberly's very stressed. She's fucking worried about you."

"I'm sorry for that sir but is the Alpha right there?"

"In my personal mind link?"

"Oh!" George exclaims. "I wanted to connect you three together. Didn't it work?"

"No..." Charles chuckles. "It's me only."

"Then, I'll return the mind link. I'm coming." George says, and as he tries to disconnect the mind link, Charles replies.

"I can do that for you. Just that I might not hear what others are saying."

"You don't have to." George replies, and chuckles. "Please do, now."

"Done." He says.

"Hey George, I'm sorry, I should have mind linked you before now." Martin speaks up though neither Kimberly nor Charles can hear him. He doesn't even know they are being joined together in a link. "Something else came up?"

"Like?" George replies in a low tone.

"Um..."

"We almost died." George replies. "You don't care about us any more?"

"I do, I do!" Martin yells. "I'll send my men to you now. Where exactly are you?"

"Don't bother." George says and shifts to Kimberly.

"Hello, a mother that doesn't care about her daughter's whereabouts."

"Hi George! How are you? I've been doing my all to save you." Kimberly replies.

"Don't repeat it." George deadpans, much to the dismay of Kimberly. "Don't say that outside, Kellie isn't your child, yes?"

"She is." Kimberly sniffles. "Just that I'm frustrated and I don't wanna remember that name."

"Anyways, alrighty. We will be safe."

"Where exactly are you? Can I come now? I would shift into my wolf, don't bother! I'll be safe."

George shifts back to Martin.

"Hi George, do you copy? I said I'm sorry. Does an Alpha have to apologize this much?" Martin says as soon as their mind links reconnect.

"Who cares?" George replies. "Anyways, what came up?"

"There's fire on the mountain."

"Again?"

"Yes, again. Not vampires this time but the moon goddess herself."

"Damn! What the hell did you do?"

"We have trespassed for real. Kimberly has killed three of the security white wolves in anger."

"Do white wolves die?"

"I'm only being sarcastic. Since I don't know the usefulness of your question."

"Okay dokey, we won't come home since we don't want to die."

"No, come! And let's have the final meeting." Martin replies. "There's a need for you to relocate with Kellie!"

"Silly!" George whispers.

"Pardon?"

"I mean damn it!"

"Damn what!"

"You, and your pack house. Who told you I got through to Kellie?"

"I gave you the description she gave me. What else should have I done?"

"And does that mean that I saw her?"

"Why the fuck are you sounding cool then?"

"Oh, am I?" George scoffs, and disconnects the mind link.

"How was it?" Festus asks.

"Mate. How did it go?" Kellie pouts her lips. "Tell me something."

"I guess we should stay here till further announcement." George says.

"What's wrong, man?" Mike speaks up. "Let's get in there and find something to eat. We are Hungry."

"Big Belle Dunce." Festus clips.

"Don't abuse him." George says. "I'm hungry as well and we can't keep remaining here. Even our wolves need to be trained and tap from the energy our physical body gets from food."

"You're just ranting." Austin replies."Tell us how to get food."

"Since no one knows you or your face, you can go to the main gate, tell those wolves that you arr very hungry. Let them know you have no bad intention. Make sure you convince them."

"I can't beg." Alfred replies. "After all, they know me. Kellie knows me right from the start so I don't think I can go."

"Mike. Henry. Douglas. Austin." Festus calls them. "You all, go."

"You can only say that as a suggestion." Douglas replies. "Not as a command. You can't command a fellow in same rank."

Alfred chuckles, and whistles as some birds fly above the hut and chirp.

"What's your conclusion?" George says, cleaving onto Kellie. As usual, his hands go down...

"Hey, I'm not in for that." Kellie whispers. "I'm hungry, let's settle first."

"I know you are. But, is that why you wanna disgrace me in front of my haters?"

"Disgrace?" Kellie whispers. "It's not a disgrace. Remember, you made those monsters approach when you did this."

"Guys, what's your decision now?" George ignores Kellie but still stays with her though not so tightly as he is.

Festus scoffs. "Can't you see we ain't complete here?"

Then, George raises his brows and sees four of them heading to the main gate.

"Oh, I wish them good luck."

"They might detect their scent, and know we are here. Don't you think so?" Alfred says as those four almost reach the main gate.

"Wanna call them back?" Kellie asks, hastily. "Let's know on time." She leaves George, rises up and whistles.

"No." Festus says. "If they move away again, that's when they'd be noticed."

"Well, let's wait and see. It was just my suggestion." Alfred shrugs his shoulders.

"And if they're being maltreated, and they successfully or unsuccessfully smell their wolves, you, Alfred, would approach and tell them it's you! Tell them Alfred!" Festus advises.

"Maybe. I'll think about it." Alfred replies.

"You should be on the alert. Anything might happen, you know?" Kellie tells him.

"I know." He replies, as his voice sounds, resounds, and echoes in Kellie's ears.

"My Stalker. So you can be this easy to grab." Kellie scoffs, and mocks him with an annoying mode of laughing.

"Stop It." George nudges her with his arms connecting hers. "That you're safe doesn't mean you'll not be in danger anymore."

"What if he's the only saviour then?" Festus adds.

"Okay, I'm sorry." Kellie smiles.

"Oh. I hope someday we'll make it out of here, and stay in a safe environment after shedding off our powers to the moon goddess." George says with his voice breaking.

"I hope so too." Festus adds. "But, for real, can we, having that always lost wolf with us?"

"I'm being termed as a lost wolf now." Kellie soliloquizes.

"I'm being termed as a traitor and a wicked boss now." Festus says.

"I'm being termed as a stalker now." Alfred sighs.

"You all are nuts. Why are you...?"

"You should play along as we await junks from them."

"Can you mind link mum and tell her to attend to them real quick?" Kellie asks George.

"Your mind link has been activated. Why can't you, instead?" George retorts, sharply.

"Kimberly shouldn't know she's right here with us since she doesn't seem to care." Festus says.

"How do you know that? Ever lived with us?" George rolls his eyes at him, as Festus signals to him, reminding him that he can read the past of any being through his demon power.

"Well, that's true to a fault. If need be, I'll mind link her." George says, making sure Kellie and Alfred don't understand the gesticulations from Festus.
