"I just wanted to invite you to the newly opened beach I bought, with Crescent and your daughter, is that so bad?" Miri asked, pouting.

Vanna immediately stood up when she heard what Miri said. "To the beach?!" Vanna's eyes glistened with excitement.

Miri went to Vanna and smiled. "Yes, baby girl. You want to come, right? So convince your Daddy."

"No," Luca quickly said.

Vanna looked at him and gave him her cute puppy eyes. "Daddy... I want to go to the beach and swim. I haven't been swimming for many days," Vanna said with a pout and held Luca's hand.

"We'll go to the beach tomorrow if you want... but to a different beach. Hmm? I'll take care of it," Luca said and caressed Vanna's cheek.

"Yay!" Vanna jumped in excitement and hugged Luca.

Miri stomped her feet on the ground and glared at Luca. "You're so mean, Luca! I'm going to tell brother Lorcan!" Miri whined and immediately went out.

I just blinked at what happened. Vanna was obviously excited and went into her room to prepare her clothes for tomorrow. I looked at Luca, puzzled.

"A-Are you serious? We're going to the beach tomorrow? Just like that?" I asked.

Luca smiled at me and touched the back of his neck. "Yes, baby."

My cheeks heated up. "D-Don't call me that. I-I thought you'll wait," I said, stumbling over my words.

Luca chuckled sexily. "Stop being cute, Crescent North... Go and prepare your things for tomorrow too."

"D-Don't tease me again. I was serious about what I said the other day that our relationship will stay like this a-and..." I stopped when I noticed Luca was just staring at me as if he was amused by what I was saying.

"Hmm? Continue, baby," he muttered in a soft voice while staring at me.

"I-I said stop it. I-It's not funny!"

"Sorry, baby," he said and chuckled.

The blood rushed to my face again. "Y-You're on your own!" I just said, then immediately turned my back on him and went into my room. What's his problem? Why is he doing this? I thought we already had an agreement... This shouldn't continue... I might lose control of myself too.

"I want my own room, Daddy," Vanna said while looking around the hotel.

The whole beach, including the hotel, was reserved for us, so there were no other people. I don't know what Luca was thinking to reserve this; he didn't have to.

"Mommy! I want to swim now!" Vanna said excitedly while jumping when we got to her hotel room. Luca followed us.

I put her bag on the bed and got the sunblock from it. I rubbed it on her skin, and she immediately ran out as soon as I was done. "Vanna! Wait for Mommy!"

She didn't listen. I immediately put my bag on the bed. I just looked at Luca, who was just staring at me.

"Ahm... c-can you please follow Vanna?" I asked.

Luca just smiled at me and nodded. He went out of the room, but I froze and stood up when I heard him raise his voice. I immediately went out and was stunned when I saw that Miri was also here.

"Oh! What a coincidence!" she said and smiled sweetly at us.

"What the fuck are you doing here, Miri?!" Luca snapped.

"Don't be so stubborn. It's just a coincidence... The owner let me come here," Miri explained and smiled at him.

"Damn, Cadmus," Luca mumbled and ran his fingers through his hair.

I just bit my lower lip as my eyes went to Miri's bikini. She's really sexy with her red two-piece. I bit the insides of my cheeks and looked at her small waist and big boobs... mine are big too, but I can say that she's sexier... Her waist is smaller, her skin is smoother, and she's more beautiful. I just blinked and shook my head... I guess until now I'm still insecure about my appearance.

Vanna and Luca had fun almost all day. I didn't swim and just watched them because I wasn't in the mood. Miri seemed to have taken my place and was playing with Vanna. It was obvious that Luca was still annoyed with her and was trying to keep Vanna away from her, but Miri was just stubborn.

I just held my arm and the beach dress I was wearing. I'm wearing a two-piece bikini underneath it, but I lost the courage to take off my dress.

"Mommy, swimming... tomorrow," Vanna just whispered softly as she was closing her eyes.

I just smiled and fixed her blanket until she finally fell asleep. It was only 6 p.m., but she was already asleep because she was tired from swimming all day.

I went out of her room when she finally fell asleep. I froze when I saw Luca carrying Miri. They stopped and looked at me. I just smiled faintly and closed the door to Vanna's room.

"Vincenzo, come on... My foot really hurts. Take me to my room," Miri whined and hugged Luca's neck.

Luca's forehead creased, and he was obviously annoyed, but I don't know why I don't like what I'm seeing right now. I just bit the inside of my cheek and looked away from them.

Luca sighed and carried Miri to her room, just next to Vanna's. I bit my lower lip and went to my room. I didn't go inside and just peeked at Miri's room door... Luca still hadn't come out.

I bit my nails while waiting for him to come out. I don't know how long I've been standing here... Why isn't he coming out yet? What are he and Miri doing inside?

I bit my lower lip and went there; the door was ajar, so I slowly opened it. I caught Luca sitting on Miri's bed, his forehead creased as he massaged Miri's foot.

My hand immediately clenched into a fist. I don't know what came over me, and I violently opened the door... They both looked at me.

"Crescent?" Miri asked and smiled.

I just bit my lower lip and looked at Luca. He's looking at me too, waiting for me to say something.

"Ahm, I-I have something to tell you, Luca. C-Can we talk privately?" I asked, stuttering.

Luca stood up and just removed Miri's foot from his thigh. Before Luca could even leave Miri's room, I immediately ran back to my room and slapped myself.

"W-What the hell are you doing? Are you going crazy?" I whispered, still not believing what I just did.

"Crescent... What are we going to talk about?"

I flinched and looked at Luca when I heard his voice. I just smiled awkwardly at him and scratched the back of my neck.

"Ahm... I-I forgot." I looked away. "O-Okay, you can leave now. S-Sorry for the trouble," I just made an excuse.

I looked at Luca when I noticed that he wasn't leaving my room. He remained staring at me with those intense eyes.

"Okay... I'll go out now. Just call me when you remember," he just said and turned around.

Before he could take a step out, I immediately moved and chased him, then held his arm. He stopped and looked at me.

"What are you doing?" Luca asked.

"H-Huh?" I just said, as if I wasn't in my right mind, while staring at him.

Luca took a deep breath and licked his lower lip. He ran his fingers through his hair and closed his eyes as if he's trying to calm himself... Is he mad at me?

I slightly backed away when he looked at me. His hand moved and held the back of my neck, then he pulled me in without warning for a deep kiss on the lips.

I don't know why instead of pushing him away, I closed my eyes and let him kiss me... His lips taste like my favorite dish that I haven't tasted for decades; it feels comfortable and warm at the same time...

Push him. Push him, Crescent. This is not what you want to happen, right? So, push him!

But instead of pushing him, I just found myself kissing him back.
