Chapter 7: First Day of College - PART I

Tani and Anu come downstairs and Tani's mother asks them if they have taken all necessary things properly or not. Both of them reply together, that they have taken everything properly.

Tani's mother was in the kitchen all this time. As soon as she came, Tani and Anu bowed to her. She blessed both of them and said, "Another beautiful chapter of your lives is about to begin today. I hope everything goes well. My blessings are with you two, always. Good luck. May God bless you both," Saying this she hugged them. She told them to eat quickly, the time to go to college is approaching.

Anu said, "Aunty I have eaten, I can not eat anymore."

Tani's mother said, "You have to eat when you come here. Otherwise I will not leave you. You know me right?"

"Oh mom, she is saying she won't eat, will you force her?", Tani said.

Tani's mother scolded Tani and asked Anu, "Oh, you shut up. Anu, won't you eat after knowing what's on the menu?"

"What's on the menu?", asked Anu enthusiastically.

"Luchi (Puri), Dum Aloo. Tell me, you still don't want to eat?", Tani's mother said.

Anu shook her head as yes and said, "Of course I will. Aunty, you are the best."

"That’s my good girl, sit down at the table, I'll be right back.", Tani's mom said and headed to the kitchen.

Tani smiled to herself seeing the action of the two. They both quickly finished eating and started getting ready to leave. Tani's mother fed both of them curd and sugar. Because curd-sugar is a symbol of auspiciousness. Tani's mother wished them "all the best". They got into the car of Anu's house and left for the college.

Royal Academy of Engineering and Technology :

Most reputed institute of engineering and technology. The most successful institution in the city for the past 40 years. Many students have got good placements and are successfully running their own businesses, carriers. Anu and Tani's father wanted their daughters to get admission in this such reputed institution. They actually fulfilled that dream of their fathers.

We know that while there are good boys and girls in college, there are also some stubborn boys and girls. Similarly, there is a group in this college, who are proud to spoil the reputation of the institution.

"Hey Rohan, look at the entrance.", a boy said to his friend.

"Oh, so the newcomers are coming. Huh!" Rohan was saying this to his friends while sitting on his bike in the college parking lot.

"Haha, new year, new naive, new girlfriend, party, mischief. Lots of fun bro.", said one of the boys in the group.

"Look, a car has stopped.", said Prabhas (Rohan's best friend).

Anu's car arrived at the entrance of the college. Tani and Anu got down from the car. Anu tells the driver that, he can leave now; they will call him later. The driver left with the car. Tani and Anu entered in the college.

"Oh bro, two beauties.", said one of the guy in the group.

"Come on, let's introduce? Rohan!", said Prabhas.

"No not now. At the right time.", said Rohan.

On the other hand, Anu and Tani were looking at the college campus.

"Tani, isn't the campus amazing?", said Anu.

"Yes, very beautiful.", Tani said.

"But I'm afraid," said Anu.

"Hey, what's the fear, I said no, everything will be fine. I'm with you. Don't worry", Tani replied.

Meanwhile, Rohan said to a boy of his gang named Pritam, "Give them a little intro, we are coming."

Tani and Anu were talking when a boy came and stood in front of them. They stopped. "Hey beauties, newcomers huh?", the boy said in a flirting tone.

Anu was nervous, Tani understands that. She immediately grabs Anu's hand and wants to walk out.

"Hey beauties, where are you going!", The boy came forward and stood again. Again Tani wanted to pass. Third time too the boy caused the same incident. Now Tani got angry. Tani clenched her right hand and punched on his nose.

Rohan and his gang are surprised to see the incident from the distance, immediately Rohan makes a plan to save Pritam.

"Oh shit man, she punched him, Rohan. Do something. She had guts huh! Punched a boy on her very first day. What an audacity!", Prabhas told Rohan.

"Wait, I have a different plan. Let's go, and have patience, don't say anything to them. I'll handle it.", Rohan said.

Pritam put his hand on his nose and began to writhe in pain. Anu was looking at the boy and put her hand on her mouth, while Tani was looking at the boy with angry eyes.

Anu pulled Tani's left hand and said, "Tani, what did you do? Do you want to be rusticated on the first day?"

"Shut up, I've done the right thing, this boy is a piece of shit, didn't you see how he was blocking our way.", Tani said in anger.

"Tani.. Tani please come down. It's okay, let's go to the Principal's office and do complaint against him. Please stop being angry.", Anu said her in a patience voice.

On the other hand, Rohan and his gang came towards them. Anu saw them and said to Tani, "Tani, we are in trouble. Look over there, a gang is coming towards us."

"Don't be afraid, let's see what they do.", Tani answered.
