Chapter 5: Shopping & Movie
Tani and Anu took a taxi and reached the city center mall. They paid their fare to the taxi driver, and went inside the mall. First they went to the ladies garment section. Both look at some clothes for each other. Tani chose scratched jeans, tops and scarves for Anu. Anu also chose some stylish tops, jeans and fashionable hats for Tani. After choosing the dress, the two went to the trial room. The outfits fit perfectly for both of them. Took some photos and Anu posted that on her Instagram account.
They paid the shopping bills and went to the shoe section. They chose their own shoes. After paying the bill at the counter, they went out.
Anu said, "Let's eat something, I'm hungry."
"Let's go to the restaurant." said Tani.
"What to eat? Chinese, Mughlai?", said Anu.
"Authentic Bengali food.", said Tani.
"Yumm, Tani you have great choise of taste.", Anu said with shiny eyes."
"Then what are we waiting for let's go.", Tani said extending her hand towards Anu.
"Come on, let's go.", Anu said encouragingly holding Tani's hand.
They reached the restaurant and sat in the seat near the window. They looked at the menu card and their mouths watered seeing the names of the dishes. Tani and Anu chose a few dishes. Tani called the waiter and ordered their dishes.
"Tani, check out these photos I posted on Instagram and we got 68 likes.", Anu said excitedly.
"Show me, so we are already famous for our shopping day.", Tani said.
"Yes and very soon we'll be famous for our fashion style in college also.", Anu expressed with joy.
Meanwhile the food arrived. Anu takes a deep breath and the smell of food enchants her nose. Tani also closed her eyes and smelled the food. Their table includes Rice, Mung beans daal with fish head, finley chopped crunchy fried potato, Carp fish kalia, Shrimp malikari, Mutton curry, Pickle, Rasgolla, Sweet curd. Both of them couldn't control their lust at the smell of the food and called the waiter, Tani said, "Thank you so much Dada, you satisfied our hunger with such fragrant dishes. They both finished their meal and paid the bill. Then left for the cinema hall.
On their way...
"I am very full Tani.", said Anu rubbing her stomach.
"Yeah me too. But the dishes was very much tasty.", replied Tani.
"Yes, very much tasty... but now I want some ice-cream.", Anu said in a demanding tone.
"Are you okay? Just now you were telling me you were so full from eating, now seriously you want ice cream!", Tani joked.
Anu made a cute face at Tani's words and Tani found it adorable, she held Anu's cheek and pinched it gently. "Don't make this teddy bear face in front of me, one day I won't spare you and your extra cuteness.", Tani said with a naughty smile. "Ahhaa..", Anu said with a sweet smile. They went to an ice-cream parlor and bought two chocolate bars. Anu immediately opened the ice-cream wrapper and put it in her mouth. "This is heaven.. mmmm...", said Anu. Tani just stared at her innocence and smiled to herself.
Then they reached the cinema hall and bought two tickets. They entered the hall and took a seat from the left corner. They sat down and after a while the hall became dark, the movie was about to start. It is a science-fiction movie. Tani was enjoying the movie a lot. After watching the movie for a while, Anu placed her head on Tani's shoulder and held Tani's left hand with both her hands. After watching an interesting scene in the movie, Tani was going to call Anu and say, "Look, this scene was great." Just then, Tani turns her head and sees Anu sleeping soundly, resting her head on her shoulder. She didn't want to disturb Anu so without saying anything she started watching the movie. Just ten minutes before the end of the movie, Anu woke up and looking at the screen, she said, "How far has the movie gone?"
"Towards the end," Tani said.
"What! I didn't see anything!", Anu said in disappointment.
"You were sleeping peacefully, so I didn't want to disturb you.", Tani said.
"Damn", said Anu with a frown.
"Don't mind, it will be on TV in a few days, then we'll watch the movie together again.", Tani assured.
In the meantime, the movie was over. Tani said mockingly to Anu, "Come on, don't get upset, I know, you have to sleep after lunch."
Anu's face made Tani smile. Tani grabbed Anu's hand, pulled her up from her seat and said, "If we stay after the movie, the guard will come and kick us out, is that what you want?" "Come on, let's take a coffee break," Tani said to console Anu. Anu was consoled, they left the hall and went for two cups of coffee.
