Chapter 6 — Hatred and Confusion

Eloisa POV:

Gale was very stubborn and wanted to continue our honeymoon even his nephew was gone missing. He doesn't believe Austin disappeared. 

"Come on, baby, they will find him soon. You know Austin was a little naughty just like me", he leans closer started biting my earlobes. 

“hey, not now. I can't concentrate." I refused to have sex with him because of the dramas this evening.

We quickly change our clothes even if it's midnight. We both felt guilty for turning off our phones and we prioritize our honeymoon instead of helping to find our beloved Austin.

"I can't believe why these two won't answer my calls." Kent blurted out beside his wife. 

Lucy was also having a hard time figuring out if Eloisa and Gale took Austin or not. They have another problem: Cassandra is missing too. 

"Did you call Cassandra? Did she answer your calls?” he asked Lucy while checking his phone if they will receive good news or still waiting for nothing. 

Lucy shook her head. 

“I can't reach her. Maybe she was hurt by what I did. I don't know what to react that time since I can't think we'll because of Austin. I want to say sorry, hon." Lucy cupped her face and burst into tears again. 

Kent felt hurt to see her crying. He wrapped his arms around her. 

"Don't worry, hon. Just give her a little space. She will call you if she feels better." He comforts her with his caress and warm hugs. 

Lucy quickly pushed him away from her.

"Wait, hon, what if I visit her at her place. I can bring her back after apologizing for being harsh on her, right?” she found the best opportunity to win her friends heart. 

Kent disagreed with his wife's decision. 

“Honey, this is not the time to worry Cassandra. We need to find who took Austin first. It's 2 in the morning but our son is still with those psychos!” he let go of all his emotions tonight. 

Kent cried for the first time. He was stressed out and can't think we'll especially his brother and Eloisa didn't answer his calls. He's now having doubts about the newlywed couple. 

Lucy wiped her tears in her swollen eyes using the back of her palm. 

"I'm so sorry, honey. I am getting hopeless. I will die if they take Austin away from me, again." She began to go rebellious again. 

Lucy started punching her face and her body. She can't control it since then. Kent saw it and he quickly ran to stop her. 

"What are you doing? It won't help!” he scolded her, but she slaps her husband. 

Lucy glared at him. 

“This is all your fault! You told me to stay a little more talking to the investors of our company. If-if I left and check my son at the magic how, maybe, he's here with us! I hate you!” she became paranoid. 

Kent doesn't know what to do anymore. He decided to leave Lucy inside and gave the officers a break since it's already morning. 

"Sir, have a coffee first,” he offered the hot brewed coffee to Damian. 

The head police officer smiled and accepted it. 

"Thank you. About your son's case, may I know if you and your wife had enemies before? I am aware of your family secrets, so you have to mention Eloisa and Kent because they are now our top suspect," Detective Damian said and took a sip of his hot coffee. 

He took a deep sigh and both of them looked at each other when the doorbell rang. 

"Just stay. I'll tell my men to survey the area outside and see who was here early this morning," Damian instructed Kent. 

He just nods his head and waits for the update. He pressed his palm against each other and bent his head to pray. He's hoping that it's not the body of their little boy. 

Kent stood up and was stunned to see Gale and Eloisa appearing at the entrance. He frowned and stormed to punch his brother in his face. Eloisa screamed while Gale wipes his bloody lips with his hands. 

"Why you do that? I didn't do anything wrong?” he glared at his stepbrother. 

Raphael was there too but he was too old to join their discussion. He just swiveled his wheelchair and silently went back to his room. He can't forgive Eloisa yet about the past and she knew that.

“Did you scheme all of this? Eloisa, where did you take Austin? Just confess both of you, already! The police are here!” Kent forced them but Gale and Eloisa look confused about what is happening at the moment. 

Eloisa's face crinkled as she heard Kent's false accusations.

"What? Are we not allowed to happy after our wedding? Are you accusing us that we abducted Austin? Where's Lucy?” her anger ate her already.

The police officers help them to sort it out. 

“Sir, ma'am, I know this is harsh on your side, but we located the boy near the Zeus Palace but when you turned off all your phones, he was transferred to another place which we can't detect now." Officer Bradley, Damian's assistant came and talk to them.

Eloisa rolled her eyes and pouted her lips. 

"That is absurd! We turned off our phone for privacy and we didn't think that my beloved Austin was gone missing because he loves playing around!” she pointed out until Lucy interrupted. 

“Was it a joke to you? Our son is missing nine hours from now! Do you call it ridiculous?” she said to Eloisa. 

Her cold eyes and blank expression were scary. 

Eloisa started to feel uncomfortable. She walked closer to tell her that she made a mistake. 

"Hey, I thought we are now good friends. I'm sorry if we didn't take it seriously. I know you're not okay right now, but can you just trust us? Gale and I came to check here after we both received Kent's call." She holds Lucy's hands for forgiveness.

Gale suddenly mentioned Cassandra's whereabouts. 

"Wait, where is Austin's nanny? Your friend Cassandra, right?” he uttered.

“Yes, officer. If she's not guilty, why is she—" Everyone looked surprised when Cassandra came in.

Cassandra POV

"Are you calling my name?” she raises her upper right eyebrow at Gale and Eloisa while she quickly ran and hugs her friend tightly.

“I'm so sorry, Lucy, for hiding at the botanical garden. I didn't realize I fell asleep due to excessive crying,” her trembling voice made Lucy understand her.

She caressed her friend's back to comfort her. 

"It's okay. I'm sorry too. I got carried away with my emotions." Lucy apologized.

Cassandra saw Eloisa and Gale, but she just ignored them, and Eloisa wanted to grab her hair but since Lucy seems to suspect them, she decided to stay good to her. 

“I just don't like her!” she whispered while keeping her anger towards Cassandra. 

She looks suspicious. She said she was at the botanical garden? Gale and Eloisa didn't say anything. 

"Can you ask your son's nanny where she was at the time Austin went missing?” Eloisa hated false accusations so she will do anything to correct Lucy's assumption. 

Cassandra excused herself from them, but they had no idea that she stayed behind the door and overheard their conversation. 

“What do you mean by that? She told me that she was at the magic show with Austin before my son left her side." Lucy started to feel uneasy. 

Officer Damian listened to them and ordered Bradley to record Eloisa's revelation.

Kent and Gale stared at each other. They now realized that maybe Eloisa was right. 

"She was not with Austin! I saw her following him to the hallway. I thought she looks after him and then you started shouting looking for him." Eloisa insisted what she saw was right. 

They all looked to the main entrance when officer Migz came inside with tape in his hands. 

"Sir, we found the abductor at the CCTV footage," Migz said before they put the tape at the tape player. 

All of them gathered to review the video and their eyes widened and their lips parted when they saw Cassandra followed Austin outside the venue. She lied because she was with Austin when he was kidnapped.
