Chapter 11 — Confessions About the Past
Flashback:
Val rushes to his boss's office to ask for help.
"Sir, I need your help! My daughter is in the hospital. She's very sick and I came here to ask for my advance salary." Val said as Alexander just finishes signing the proposal of his business partner Mr. Ralph Sherlock.
They both gaze at him like a piece of trash.
"I don't care if your daughter is sick or going to die. You're always late at work and had a lot of cash advance, how can I help you if you're as lazy as a turtle!” he shouted at him, and Mr. Sherlock was also there just staring at him like garbage.
Val doesn't know what to do at that time. He can't believe that his boss is as cold as a corpse and his heart is as hard as a rock. His daughter is dying, and Mr. Stone can't even lend a small help for Kylie's illness.
Val kneeled and begged for his help again.
“Sir, I beg you. Please help my daughter. I promise to work hard,” he pleaded but instead of helping his employee, Alexander kicked him like a dog.
He stood up and called his bodyguard to drag him out of his office.
"I have nothing to do with you. Today, you're fired!” he yelled at him.
Val keeps screaming cursing him as Alexander's bodyguard was harshly dragging him outside.
“No, don't do this to me, sir. No! If something happens to my daughter, I won't forgive you!” he warned him while Val's eyes glared at him.
Alexander and Ralph just shook their head and degraded him.
"He's so pathetic!” he said to Ralph as they continued their chit-chat.

Kent can't believe what his father confessed to him and Lucy. He can't remember his face since they had hundreds of workers in their company while he was busy attending his studies.
“Why didn’t you tell us that you know Cassandra? You saw her before you left." Kent said.
His dad admits that he saw Cassandra's face but because time had passed and her face age a bit, he failed to recognize her.
"She changed a lot. I thought she was someone else, so I didn't bother to ask you about her. I'm so sorry, son, it's my fault!” he said to his son.
Lucy wanted to tell her father-in-law that because of his greed, snob, and stone-hearted character, their son was in danger.
Kent tightened his jaw after his dad narrated his confessions about what he did in the past on Cassandra's husband and why their daughter died because of a lack of finances.
“You know dad, because of you, my son is out there with the psychos,” he angrily told him.
Alexander knows what he did that day was way immature. He came back to reconcile with them and with his son, Kent. He vowed his head to cover the dismay on his face. He took a deep breath and set a wide smile on his face.
"Don't worry, son. I will help you find Austin." Alexander assured him about it jut Kent and Lucy made a plan.
"We made a plan since she's asking me to sleep with her. This is too risky, but I need to follow her request for my son's safety," Kent revealed Cassandra's request to his dad.
Alexander was about to vomit about the deal they agreed. He made a sour face about the deal.
"I had no idea that a woman of her age can't bear a child. She's forty-five, holy Jesus! Kent, are you sure you accept?” he asked him since this deal was inappropriate.
Lucy felt weird too.
"Dad, don't worry, we made a plan. I'll follow Kent with the police. She said no police, media, and me but Kent and I won't allow it." Lucy explained everything.
While everyone decided, Kent leaves his phone open to receiver another call from her, and she called.
Kent quickly answered it.
"Hello, I'm glad you called. I accept your offer. It's a deal just make sure you will release our child!” he said to make sure if it's a game or the real deal.
He heard a man's voice for the first time, and he pressed the loudspeaker button. I let them hear their conversation. They had no idea that there was a GPS tracker in Kent's phone. Their location has directly transmitted to the police headquarters.

“Sir, we found the location. Should we go there?” Officer Migz announced to everyone especially to their head officer and detective Damian. He's good at hacking devices especially phone to phone.
Detective Damian quickly dialed the parents of Austin. He will ask their permission to attack him the very moment they saw her.
"Don't move yet. I'll call them,” he ordered them.
They waited I'm for his signal.

Lucy POV
"Honey, it's Detective Damian. Answer him. " I said to my husband.
I am hoping for good news.
"Yes, sir. What? Really? Wait, don't go there. I'll bring my wife to talk to him. I think I mislead him,” he stops them.
Officer Damian tried to understand why they would wait for the kidnapper's request if we knew where they are located.
"But sir, if we attack them right away, maybe they'll find another place to hide," Damian asked Kent about his decision.
He took a deep breath.
"Sir, we made a deal. I'll tell you but please don't judge us!” Kent said to make him calm and waste their instruction.
“Tonight, I'll meet with her to have sex but only one night. If I reject her offer, she will hurt my son." Kent decided to tell Damian about it even it was kind of scandalous.
Even Lucy can't look at Kent's eyes because of the fucking deal.
"Let's meet at eight. I'll send you the address but make sure that no one is involved in this case." Cassandra set the time of their lovemaking.
"Hon, I'll come back as soon as I keep breathing with Austin. Just trust me. Just let me talk to her to make the transaction smooth.

“I'll bring Austin. Make sure to go alone or else, I'll blow your son's head, right away. Understand!” Cassandra told him and Kent's eyes shifted to his dad and Lucy, but they didn't know about it.
“Okay. It's confirmed." Kent mumbled after receiving her call.
They thought their plan works but they had no idea that she's smarter than anyone.
"Right, come to me, Kent, so that I can kill you!” she murmured while putting the syringe inside her pocket.

If Alexander revealed himself, then the plan won't work. His dad made a mistake and feel guilty about everything he did but he's not alone. Mr. Sherlock did a terrible thing to ruin the couple and has the reason why Cassandra went to prison.
