Chapter 325 The Change
It was unknown when Phillip had changed his way of addressing her and himself.
He would call her his wife and him her husband.
In addition, they were living together with their children and seemed to be together for so long, but the truth was that it had only been half a year since they met again.
They skipped dating and directly jumped to break up because of their parents who opposed them.
Everything seemed to be unexpected and reasonable.
As soon as Ann saw him, she remembered that when she left in the morning, this man looked confused, and her self-consolation just now was all in vain. She was furious again.
"I'm busy with work. I won't go," she said as she turned around with the lunch box in her arms.
"Health is more important than work. You have to rest. You said it."
"I regret it. It's more important to make money!"
Phillip looked at the fragrant bottle and measuring cup in her hand, raised his eyebrows slightly, and directly raised his hand to take the two things away.
"You want to make money? Your husband has plenty of money. As long as you want, everything will be yours."
Ann was speechless. She didn't know whether to say that he was childish or something. However, when she saw his smile, she suddenly felt that there was no need for her to be so angry.
She sighed and stood up. She took away the incense and measuring cup in his hand and placed them as they were.
"Let's go."
Phillip's cold eyes curved slightly, but he did not forget to help Ann take a coat that was hanging on the side and put it on her.
When she got into the car, Ann thought that Phillip would take her to the restaurant they often went to, but she found that the route was a bit unfamiliar.
She turned to look at him. "Aren't we going to eat?"
"Yeah," Phillip said with a nod.
The car stopped in front of a strange and familiar residential area.
The residential area was old. Today's weather was good. In the evening, old ladies gathered to gossip. Kittens and puppies crawled around under the ground. It was lively.
It was as if she had returned to many years ago when she was still in Clear Water Town. At that time, her neighbors also liked to set up a table outside to gossip. They lived happily without pressure. It was warm.
Ann didn't understand why Phillip brought her here.
"Get out of the car," Phillip said as he unbuckled her seat belt.
"Phillip, is there anyone you know here?" Ann pulled his sleeve.
"No," Phillip answered simply. He pulled Ann up the stairs under the scrutiny of a group of middle-aged women.
Ann could still hear the whispers of the women downstairs as she stood in the old corridor.
"Whose relative is this? He's so handsome. I haven't seen him before!"
"Look at that car. I saw it in a magazine that my son bought. It costs tens of millions. Which family in this broken building has such a rich relative?"
Phillip pulled Ann to the third floor. Under Ann's surprised gaze, he took out a key and opened the door.
Ann stood at the door and looked at the strange and familiar furnishings in the room. Tears welled up in her eyes.
There was the familiar display, the white tablecloth, the small square dining table, the red old leather sofa ... and the awards on the wall.
She received a good student prize when she was little and especially put it on the wall.
Phillip hugged Ann and entered, seeing her slightly red eyes.
"I wanted to take you to Clear Water Town, but the old house over there has already been demolished. I could only find a house here that looks the same."
Before he went to pick up Ann, he had come to see it in advance. Other than some small details, he almost restored the house where Ann used to live in Clear Water Town.
"I promised to celebrate your birthday with you, but I didn't even say goodbye. Now, I'll make it up to you."
When he was a child, although Melinda would take him to meet Ann, he was not allowed to go near Ann's house.
It was just that occasionally when he sent her back, he would take advantage of the fact that William wasn't at home and coax Ann to take him to her house to take a look.
He wanted to take a look at the environment she lived in.
Ann looked up at him in a daze and saw that there was a feeling of guilt in his dark eyes.
"I don't blame you," she said, placing her soft fingers in his palm.
In the past, she had been foolishly waiting and felt that he must have had some reason to do so. Now she knew that he had been suffering for so many years after they separated.
Phillip raised his hand and touched her soft hair. He placed her on the sofa and let her sit down. He neatly cut an apple for her and moved the washed grape to the coffee table in front of her. Then, he turned on the TV for her.
"Wait for me here."
"What are you going to do?" Ann asked curiously when she saw him take off his suit jacket.
"Just wait here for an hour at most."
Phillip said as he walked to the kitchen.
Just as he was about to take the apron on one side, he saw the pink color and the hello Kitty on it and instantly retracted his long fingers.
He turned to open the fridge and took out the prepared ingredients. He took out a small note filled with words from his pants pocket and followed the steps with a serious expression.
He washed vegetables, cut vegetables, and poured oil.
There were noises.
The TV was playing a popular drama. Ann had just taken a bite of the apple when she heard the sound in the kitchen.
It didn't seem like cooking, but it was like demolishing a house.
When Ann saw him enter the kitchen, she actually guessed what he wanted to do. Thinking of how he cut the potatoes, she was actually a little worried that he would burn the kitchen.
However, he didn't forget her birthday. He looked like he was seriously preparing all of this. She felt very happy.
The sound of the kitchen was very loud. Ann was sitting in a somewhat narrow living room. In fact, she didn't pay any attention to what was on the TV. She just listened to the noises in the kitchen.
At that moment, her cell phone rang. She looked at it. It was Fred.
"Hey, Fred."
"Sorry, it's so late to call you. Ann, happy birthday." Fred's voice was gentle.
He wanted to call her at midnight, but he was afraid of disturbing her rest. When he finished dealing with the affairs, it was almost evening in Country H.
Ann's eyes were still fixed on the old double doors of the kitchen. She could vaguely see Phillip busy inside.
He seemed to have been scalded and suddenly retreated a bit.
Ann couldn't help but laugh, and her tone unconsciously carried a hint of joy.
"Nothing. Thank you for calling me."
Feeling her joy, Fred guessed that she should be with Phillip now, but his tone was still gentle.
"I've finished my business here and brought you a gift."
"No need..."
"It's Felipe Durham's book, 'Perfume Notes'."
Felipe Durham was the legendary perfume master. The book was hard to buy in the country... Ann swallowed.
"Thank you."
