Chapter 191 Something Happened!

"I'll head down and check things out first. Nyla, wait for my signal. When I tell you to call the cops, do it right away," Hazel said, trying to keep her voice steady.

Nyla nodded quickly. "Got it, Ms. Anderson."

"Let's go. I'll come with you and grab a few security guards on the way," Kelly added, joining Hazel as they left the office and took the elevator down.

As soon as they reached the lobby, Hazel's sharp eyes caught sight of a red banner outside with bold letters that read, "RH Aromatics' toxic perfume harms people, they should go to hell."

Seeing this, both Hazel and Kelly frowned. RH Aromatics had been gaining a lot of attention recently, and now a crowd had gathered outside.

When they stepped out, they saw two middle-aged women sitting on the ground, wailing and shouting like they were in a soap opera.

"The owner of RH Aromatics is heartless! My daughter used their product and had a severe allergic reaction. She's in the ICU and hasn't woken up yet. Everyone, please look at this!" one woman cried.

"Scam company! Give me back my daughter's life!" the other woman screamed.

"Everyone, please hear us out! How can we live like this?" they continued, their cries growing louder as more people gathered around.

"Reporters, please speak up for us! My daughter just turned 18, and now she's in this condition because of their product. We're just ordinary people, and this is too much for us!" one of the women sobbed, almost fainting. The reporters, sensing a juicy story, nodded eagerly, their cameras and microphones ready.

"Don't worry, ma'am. We journalists are here to help the weak and expose all the injustices in society. If RH Aromatics doesn't give a proper explanation, we'll report this truthfully to the public," one reporter declared confidently.

This was RH Aromatics, after all, a hot topic. Getting an exclusive on this could mean promotions and raises, maybe even making a name for themselves in the industry.

The reporters' eyes gleamed with excitement as they watched Hazel and Kelly approach. They rushed forward but were stopped by security guards Hazel had anticipated needing.

Momentarily stunned, the reporters quickly recovered, thrusting their microphones past the guards, almost into Hazel's face.

"Ms. Anderson, can you comment on the reports of a severe allergic reaction to your new product?"

"Ms. Anderson, how could your company's product cause such a severe reaction? Is there a problem with your quality control?"

"Ms. Anderson, what steps is your company taking to address this issue, especially since it occurred just two days after the product launch?"

The reporters' questions were loud and relentless, making Kelly feel like her ears might burst. Seeing the malicious excitement in their eyes, Hazel understood their game—they were eager to sensationalize this story for their own gain.

Kelly frowned. "Everyone, we just learned about this incident. If you block us, how can we meet the people involved and understand the situation? Do you expect us to make baseless statements?"

Her blunt words made the reporters' faces turn awkward, as if she had accused them of fabricating stories.

The security guards kept the reporters at bay as they escorted Hazel and Kelly to the two women. The crowd murmured among themselves.

"That's Hazel and Kelly from RH Aromatics. I can't believe this is happening. Is it true?"

"Let's see. I doubt anyone would lie about their daughter's life."

"Look at how those women are crying. This seems real, but I've never heard of anyone having such a reaction to RH Aromatics' perfumes. It's rare."

The murmurs reached Hazel and Kelly's ears, and they appreciated that some in the crowd were reasonable. Unusual situations often indicated deeper issues, a principle Hazel firmly believed in.

Facing the two women, Hazel controlled her emotions and spoke. "Ladies, we're from RH Aromatics. Can you tell us what happened?"

The women glared at her with such hatred that Hazel wouldn't have been surprised if they tried to strangle her if not for the guards.

"It's all your fault! Your products caused my daughter's severe allergic reaction. I want justice!" one woman screamed.

Hazel frowned at their behavior. "Ladies, you claim your daughter had a reaction to our product. Can you provide her hospital report, diagnosis, and the product she used, along with the purchase record?"

Kelly stepped forward, eyeing the women who were acting like they were in a staged drama. She had seen such situations before, where people faked incidents to gain something.

Kelly's questions caused a flicker of panic to cross the women's faces. It quickly disappeared. "What do you mean? Are you refusing to compensate us or admit fault? My daughter is in this state because of your product! Everyone, look! RH Aromatics is bullying us ordinary folks. My poor daughter!"
