Chapter 183 There Is Always a Way to Make Him Spit Out Some
After Lawrence finished talking, Hazel remembered seeing Susan with a guy at the restaurant a few days ago.
They looked like they had known each other forever.
Hazel's eyes widened in surprise. "Babe, did you plan this all along?"
Lawrence didn't deny it. Instead, he asked, "So, you wanna go?"
"Absolutely!"
Hazel answered without a second thought. How could she miss out on the drama?
After hanging up, Hazel wrapped up her work for the day.
Twenty minutes later, Hazel got a call from Jason.
"Mrs. Johnson, you can come downstairs now."
Hazel responded, then asked, "Is Lawrence in the car?"
Downstairs, Jason glanced at Lawrence in the back seat. "Yes, Mrs. Johnson, he's here."
After hanging up, Jason quietly lowered his head.
"Is someone keeping an eye on Eddy?"
Lawrence leaned back in his seat, casually asking the question. His long fingers tapped lightly on the leather armrest, his eyes cold and distant.
Jason replied, "Yes, he's being watched. He should be awake by the time we get there."
A few minutes later, Hazel emerged from the building, carrying a small bag.
After getting in the car, Hazel handed the bag to Jason.
Jason looked puzzled. "Mrs. Johnson, what's this?"
Hazel explained, "It's a new product from the company. You mentioned you were trying to impress a girl, right? Take it."
The atmosphere in the car suddenly became awkward and a bit tense.
Jason's face blushed slightly. "Mrs. Johnson, I can buy things myself."
He had been with Lawrence for many years and earned a good salary. Buying gifts was not a problem.
Lawrence, who had been silent, raised an eyebrow. "Hazel gave it to you, so take it. RH Aromatics' first edition perfume isn't easy to get. Didn't you say she likes it?"
Jason bit his lip, feeling a bit embarrassed, but he accepted the gift.
"Thank you, Mrs. Johnson."
"You're welcome."
Hazel smiled. Jason had always been loyal and capable as Lawrence's bodyguard. Now that he was falling in love, she wanted to help.
"Let's go to the place I mentioned."
Lawrence gave the order, and Jason nodded, starting the car.
Hazel looked out the window, then turned to Lawrence. "Babe, where are we going?"
"You'll see when we get there. Are you hungry?"
Lawrence turned to her.
Hazel shook her head. "I'm not hungry yet. Let's go see the drama first. You mentioned Eddy earlier. What happened to him?"
The car was just the three of them, so there was no need to be discreet.
"No big deal. I set a trap for him to give him a sense of crisis. He'll tell me what I want to know."
Lawrence's tone was calm, but Hazel sensed danger.
A sense of crisis? Probably more than that.
Hazel leaned closer, looking up at Lawrence. "Babe, you didn't kidnap him, did you?"
Lawrence's eye twitched slightly. "It's a lawful society now. Kidnapping is illegal."
Hazel thought, 'Yeah, law-abiding citizens, sure.'
"Then what's going on? Spill it!"
She tugged at Lawrence's sleeve, pouting.
Lawrence raised an eyebrow. "You'll know when we get there."
Seeing that Lawrence was still keeping her in suspense, Hazel huffed. "Fine, don't tell me."
Soon, she found out what was happening.
The car arrived at a gated community. Hazel and Lawrence got out, seeing several bodyguards around.
She glanced at Jason, who said, "Mrs. Johnson, let's go inside."
The three of them entered the house. Two bodyguards on the first floor nodded as they walked in.
"Where are they?"
Lawrence asked. The bodyguard replied, "They're still upstairs. The drug is still effective."
Drugged?
Hazel was stunned. They drugged them?
She looked at Lawrence, who patted her hand. "Let's go upstairs and see."
Upstairs, they reached a room. The bodyguard opened the door, and Hazel saw the scene inside.
On the bed, a man and a woman lay facing each other in a very suggestive position.
Lawrence, sitting in his wheelchair, glanced coldly at the bed, then spoke.
"Wake them up. Bring the man to me."
He left the room, and Hazel followed.
Inside, the bodyguard grabbed a bucket of cold water and splashed it on the two people.
Soon, there were two screams.
Downstairs, Hazel sat next to Lawrence, unable to hold back her question. "Them?"
Lawrence knew what she was asking.
"Elliot has a crush on a woman. Eddy needs something from Elliot, so I set a trap to get Eddy and the woman together."
After Lawrence explained, Hazel frowned.
"Will this really make him talk?"
Lawrence nodded. "Unless he's not afraid of Elliot's anger. But there are ways to make him spill."
Seeing Lawrence's confidence, Hazel raised an eyebrow.
Elliot must really like that woman, or Eddy's request must be very important.
Before she could think more, the bodyguards brought Eddy downstairs.
He looked terrified, his hair still dripping water.
"Who are you? Let me go!"
Eddy shouted in panic. Lawrence signaled the bodyguards to take him to another room.
"Let's go inside."
Lawrence said to Hazel, and they entered the room. Eddy's hands were tied behind his back, and he knelt on the floor. Hearing the door, he turned his head.
Seeing who entered, Eddy's eyes widened.
"Mr. Johnson, it's you?"
Upon waking up, he found himself lying in bed with a woman, pressed down by two bodyguards, and instinctively thought he had been kidnapped.
