Chapter 111
Chris smirked. “I’d like to see you roll that on with only one hand.”
Ryan snorted and rolled it on his cock with both hands. “I’m a man of many talents, but that sure as hell isn’t one of them.” He reached next to him for the lube. “You’ll find out one of them pretty damn soon though.”
He laughed. “You’re pretty sure of yourself.”
“Have I failed to wow you with any of my talents so far?” Ryan asked with an arch of a brow
“You have a point.”
Ryan sloshed out like half the fucking bottle of lube, most of which got all over the sheets, Chris noticed, and then he was lifting and spreading Chris’s legs. A long finger slipped inside him and Chris groaned even though he was pretty sure it would be a while before his own cock sprang to attention again.
When a second finger entered him, Chris exhaled slowly as Ryan curled them inside him.
“Not hurting you, am I?”
“No.”
“You’re fucking tight.” Ryan closed his eyes. “Can’t wait to fuck you.”
“Then don’t.”
His eyelids flew open. “Really? You’re ready?”
“This is hardly my first go-round here. I’m ready. Fuck me,” Chris urged.
Ryan grinned and his fingers slipped out of Chris only to be quickly replaced by just the very tip of Ryan’s cock. His jaw clenched tight. “Fuck, that’s good and I’m barely inside you.”
“Whose fault is that?”
“Oh, I’m so gonna fuck you hard,” Ryan said. He pushed in deep with one thrust, all the way to his balls. He hiked Chris’s legs until they rested on his shoulders as he rammed in over and over. The bed creaked and shook underneath them and, for a moment, Chris wondered if his old bed could handle the ass pounding he was getting.
Ryan’s thrusts sped up, got harder, rougher still, and then he yelled, “Fuck” just before he stiffened and then went still.
Chris figured his mind might have shorted out right after that because he woke up later. He wasn’t sure how long he’d dozed, but Ryan was putting on his clothes.
“Sorry, didn’t mean to wake you,” Ryan said.
He rubbed a hand over his face and sat up. “Well, I hope you aren’t the type to just take off without a word after sex.”
Ryan shook his head. “Not at all. And sorry if I gave you that impression. I really did just want you to sleep. I gotta go, though, because someone has to take care of my dog.”
Chris nodded. “Yeah, I remember him.” He made to get out of the bed but Ryan stopped him with a hand on his shoulder.
“No need to get up. Really.” He pulled his shirt over his head. “Listen, what are you doing Tuesday night?”
“Working. Why?”
“I got invited over for dinner by Adam Colfer. His boathouse. Thought you might want to come with me as my date.”
“You’re having dinner with one of my rivals?”
Ryan laughed. “Come on, what are we in high school? You own a restaurant, he owns one. You’re both doing well. It’ll just be a couple of hours out of your night. If you gotta go back to the restaurant after that, that’s fine. But a couple hours.”
Chris rolled his eyes. “You think the puppy dog eyes are going to work on me?”
“Yeah. Does it?”
He smiled. “Okay, I’ll go.”
“Fantastic.” Ryan leaned over and thoroughly kissed him. “Good night.”
“Good night.” 6
“I’m still not sure this is a good idea,” Chris said as they approached the dock after Ryan parked his motorcycle.
“It’ll be fine,” Ryan promised. He’d arrived to pick up Chris after the man had agreed to go on his motorcycle. He’d also convinced Chris to bring an overnight bag so he could stay over with Ryan. The battle had been hard fought over some stubborn protests from Chris.
“I like to be close to the restaurant,” Chris had said.
“Come on, my house isn’t that far. Nothing in Sutter’s Bay is that far. It’ll be okay. And then I won’t have to leave in the middle of the night to feed Jonesy.”
Ryan had waited, expecting Chris to come up with another excuse or say it was too soon. And maybe it was. But he really liked Chris.
“Okay, I guess it’ll be all right. I can have the restaurant call me if there’s a problem.”
Ryan had smiled. “Of course.”
Now as they walked down the wooden dock toward the boathouses, Chris still seemed hesitant and Ryan wondered if it was really about Adam’s restaurant or about dating Ryan.
