Zara’s POV

I was in awe of the houses that Zane showed me. I thought that is last house was nice, but the new houses he had found were both bigger and better. I was now very excited to go and have a look at them. I never got this excited when I was looking for my old place. Most likely because I had a small budget and I just wanted a small place that was close to school.

“Will you have guards again?” I asked as Zane quickly emailed the agent.

“I am not sure” he sighed “The last ones did not really work out”

“As long as you have wards and cameras, I am sure we will be fine”

“It’s not like you are vulnerable” he chuckled “You are more deadly than anything that would dare try to break into our house”

He was right and I would make sure to make sure that anyone who tried to break in suffered.

“Wow the agents have emailed me back telling me that they can fit us in any time we like tomorrow. So, let’s go and check in with the others and then I can make the appointments”

“Let’s go” I grinned as I walked towards the door with the twins comfortably nestled in my arms.

He wrapped his arm around me and transported us to outside Gerald and Ivy’s room. He then walked around me to knock on their door.

“How do you know they are here?” I asked

‘I can sense them in there’ Isla told me just as Gerald answered the door.

“We have found two houses that we want to look at tomorrow” Zane told him straight away. “So, we need to know if you will be home as we do not want to leave Betty and Roland here without protection”

“We want to look at a couple too” Gerald told us as he opened the door so we could all enter his room.

“I am sure that Albert and Bethany will also want to look” Zane grunted

“And my mum and dad” I told him

“So why don’t we all make it for after breakfast?” I suggested “Then we can all leave and look around the houses we like, then no one will be left here on their own”

“That could work” Zane nodded “As the hunters won’t be able to escape and even if they do, they won’t be able to get off the island”

“I guess we need to go and let everyone know that we are off on a field trip” I grinned as I walked towards the door with Zane following me.

“What field trip?” Ivy asked as she came running out of the bedroom with wet hair.

“Tomorrow we are all going to leave the house after breakfast so we can look at houses” I told her “Zane found two that we both like while I was feeding the twins”

“Gerald found a couple too” Zara told us “They are all just slightly smaller than Zane’s old house”

“Zane is going bloody bigger” I laughed “But he promised to let me fill the library and I am sure that you will be happy to come along and help me on that mission”

“Hell, yes I would” she giggled “As I plan to spend lots of time with you in your library”

“Ok, well if you guys want to book in to look at your houses after breakfast and I will get the others to do the same” Zane told them as he pulled me into his arms and moved us to the lounge where my parents were sat watching a movie.

“Have you guys looked for any houses yet?” I asked as I handed mum Isla and dad Lachlan

“I was going to see if any of you had a laptop we could use” dad sighed “We tried on our phone, and it was too hard”

“Use mine” I told him “As we are planning on going for a field trip with everyone tomorrow after breakfast. Then we can all look at houses without having to leave anyone here on their own”

“I will go and get Zara’s laptop for you now” Zane smiled as he disappeared

“I am guessing you have found a house you like?” mum asked

“Zane found a couple while I was feeding the twins. So, we will look at both tomorrow and see if we can feel one being our new home”

“It will be nice to look for a house to call ours too” Mum chuckled “We have not had a home in a very long time”

“Just make sure it  has got room for when you babysit the twins” I teased “And room for your own kids if you do decide to have more”

“Are we talking houses?” Bethany asked as she came to join us with Albert

“We were coming to see you next” I told her “We are all going to try get appointments to look at houses tomorrow after breakfast. Then we call all leave the island and no one will be left here alone”

“I like it” she nodded “We were coming to find you to let you know we found an apartment we would like to look at. It had five bedrooms so plenty of room for your babies to come and stay”

“Laptop” Zane told dad as he handed it to him

“We will start looking now and make sure we book to look at them tomorrow” he told Zane

“I am guessing you have filled in Albert and Bethany” he asked me

“Yep, so everyone knows to book appointments for tomorrow morning”

“Let’s go back and let the agents know then” Zane grinned as he whisked us away.

As soon as we were back in the room he went straight to his laptop and emailed the agents right back.

“I was slightly worried that Gerald and Ivy would end up looking at the same houses as us” I confessed once the emails had been sent and Zane came to lay beside me on the bed with the twins.

“Gerald would not want a big house like ours. I want lots of kids, he only wants a couple”
