Chapter 18 He was Crazy

Victor wiped his hands with a handkerchief all morning.

David stood silently next to him, wiping cold sweat while observing. He noticed that Victor's hands had swollen from excessive wiping and couldn't help but say, "Mr. Hastings, you've been wiping your hands since you came back from the hospital. Are you allergic? Do you want to see a doctor?"

"No need." Victor simply disliked Jessica. He tossed the handkerchief into the trash can and casually opened a file. He suddenly saw a bank card lying on the desk. He asked, "Where is Sophia?"

"She should still be in the warehouse," David said.

Thinking of the fierce woman there, Victor closed the file and casually picked up the bank card on the table, saying, "I'll be right back."

It was lunchtime, so there weren't many people in the company. Victor didn't see many people on his way out. The warehouse employees were all there.

The manager didn't expect Victor to come personally. He thought he had done something wrong. He hurried over, tremblingly saying, "Mr. Hastings, good afternoon."

"Where is Sophia?" Victor coldly glanced around.

The manager was taken aback. He didn't expect Victor to be looking for Sophia. He quickly said, "She's gone out."

"It's lunchtime, where could she have gone?" Victor narrowed his eyes dangerously. He looked very unhappy.

The sudden sense of oppression made the manager nervous, and he explained, trembling, "She went out to have lunch with her boyfriend. She should be back later. Mr. Hastings, do you need her for something? I can call her back immediately!"

Went out to have lunch with her boyfriend?

Victor didn't say anything, but his aura became noticeably colder.

The manager was very scared. He cautiously called, "Mr. Hastings?"

Victor held the bank card he was originally going to return to Sophia. He pursed his thin lips and said, "When she comes back, tell her to come to my office."

The manager nodded repeatedly and didn't relax until Victor walked away. It was too terrifying. Victor's angry appearance was really frightening.

Why did Sophia often upset the CEO? If this continued, the manager felt like he would be scared to death!

An hour later, Sophia came back. The manager said to her, "Mr. Hastings just came to look for you. He was very angry. Why weren't you in the company during lunch break? Why did you go on a date? The CEO scared me to death."

"What did he want from me?" Sophia asked in return.

"How would I know? Just go upstairs quickly and don't make the CEO wait too long," the manager replied.

Sophia felt heavy-hearted, but she obediently went upstairs.

The people in the secretary department were all napping. When Sophia entered, no one noticed her. She even doubted if Victor was really inside. She cautiously pushed open the CEO's office door.

No one was there!

Sophia looked around and noticed a door on the left side. "Is anyone there?"

No one paid attention to her, but she clearly heard voices inside!

Sophia pushed the door open and entered. She didn't expect the CEO's office to have such a large lounge. Inside, there was a living room, dining room, kitchen, and all the necessary electronic appliances. Even the casually placed cup on the table was valuable. No wonder Jessica insisted on being with Victor. He could afford to buy such a luxurious building and live in it. He was really wealthy!

Sophia shouted Victor's name twice, but no one responded. She decided to leave. As she turned around to walk away, she bumped into a cold, hard wall. The impact caused her to whimper softly in pain.

Victor's icy and ruthless eyes were deep and profound. He couldn't help but pinch the girl's jaw, mocking her, "You sound desperate. Are you trying to seduce me?"

"I...I didn't!" Sophia was startled by Victor's sudden action. She hurriedly stepped back, her large fearful eyes sparkling and enticing.

Victor's gaze became even more dangerous. "I only asked you to come to the office. I didn't ask you to come into my lounge. Who are you pretending to be innocent for?"

His unabashed mockery and disdain made Sophia uncomfortable. She reluctantly explained, refusing to show weakness, "I called out to you outside. You didn't respond, so I came in. I'll leave now."

Victor's tall figure remained motionless, blocking her way. If Sophia couldn't get out, she would try to push through. Her warm palm pressed against the man's cold chest. She didn't push him away, but he grabbed her wrist.

"Playing hard to get?" Victor sneered.

Sophia angrily retorted, "I am not!"

"No? Then why did you shout so loudly? Do you want everyone outside to think I've done something to you?" Victor's voice was sharp. He seemed like a wicked and arrogant demon.

Sophia felt both angry and humiliated. Calmly, she said, "Then I won't shout anymore. Can you...just stay away from me?"

Her pale fingers pressed against Victor's chest as he was practically touching her. She trembled slightly, her small fingers shaking. Victor wasn't wearing any clothes. Her fingertips touched his sexy pectoral muscles. The touch felt good, but Victor was intimidating.

She didn't dare to meet Victor's eyes. Her cheeks and ears turned pink. She looked innocent.

If Victor didn't know about Sophia and Paul's relationship, he really wouldn't be able to resist!

No man could endure such an innocent girl.

However, she was indeed quite dirty.

Victor left with extreme disgust. He sternly said, "Take the card on the table and get out."

Sophia quickly left the area near Victor. She picked up the bank card on the table and realized that it was the same card she had previously thrown at Victor. However, this card was now broken in half!

"Why is my bank card broken?" she wondered.

Victor coldly and arrogantly said, "I did it."

"Why?" Sophia was slightly angry.

Victor turned around and said, "If you ask again, I wouldn't mind breaking you into two halves as well."

Sophia felt her scalp tingle. He wasn't just a demon, he was crazy!

She quickly ran away, holding her belongings, faster than a bunny!

Victor looked down and saw the mark left by Sophia's fingertip on his chest. There was a red circle there. Obviously, that was the mark left by the forceful pressure from Sophia. The touch hadn't gone away. Strangely, Victor didn't feel disgusted.

This dirty woman really knows how to seduce people!

The more Victor thought about it, the dirtier Sophia seemed to him. He had just come out of the bathroom and took another shower, but he couldn't forget Sophia in his mind. Impatiently, he picked up his phone and made a call. "Set up a cafeteria downstairs. Starting tomorrow, no employee in the company is allowed to leave during lunch break."

David felt confused when he received the call. "We already have a cafeteria in the company, Mr. Hastlings, did you forget?"

Victor's face turned dark. Despite having a cafeteria in the company, Sophia still went out to have dates with men! She was dating Paul and his friend’s child at the same time. She was too calculating.

Victor said sternly, "Anyone who dares to eat outside during lunch break will have their wages deducted for three days."

"Okay, I will write a notice right away." David nodded repeatedly. Although he didn't know why, he did what he was told. Why did the smart and wise CEO suddenly care about these small matters?
