Chapter 82 The End!
"Huh?" Asher turned his head in confusion while driving, glancing at her.
Stella smiled helplessly and said, "The video of you fighting with Arthur and the others yesterday somehow ended up online."
Stella felt somewhat helpless because the video also included her grabbing Arthur by the collar and slapping him.
Although the commotion had temporarily passed, she knew that after publicly humiliating Arthur's family like this, let alone Arthur himself, Arthur wouldn't let this slide easily.
"It ended up online?" Asher was taken aback.
"Yes, your identity was exposed," Stella nodded, her eyes sparkling as she looked at Asher.
"Huh? As the CEO of Fly Pictures?" Asher's body tensed, surprised.
The Mysterious CEO of Fly Pictures Sacrifices Himself and Brutally Attacks Arthur Alongside Beautiful Vice President Stella!
The click rate of such headlines in the news was unimaginable!
Immediately, he bitterly smiled. Indeed, the matter from yesterday had caused quite a stir. It would be strange if it hadn't been spread online.
Asher knew that his identity would eventually be completely exposed.
He just didn't expect it to happen so soon.
"Not really, only my identity was exposed," Stella replied with a bitter smile, shaking her head.
In the news, the fact that Asher was the CEO of Fly Pictures didn't come out, so it seemed that the company's strict order prohibiting the leakage of information was still effective.
If anyone dared to casually spread such information, once discovered, they would no longer be able to work at the Fly Group.
But Asher's other identity hadn't been dug out, yet many people recognized it.
"Not exposed?"
"Yeah, but your other identity was revealed," Stella looked at Asher, her gaze flickering.
"Other identity?" Asher felt a bit dizzy.
"The son-in-law of the Morgan family!" Stella's voice sounded faintly, "I was right after all. Your relationship with Avery isn't ordinary. I just didn't expect you two to be married."
Stella's voice remained calm, without any discernible emotions.
Asher's hand gripping the steering wheel tightened suddenly.
"I'm sorry." Asher opened his mouth, but he couldn't say a single word no matter how many words were on the tip of his tongue. All that was left was this apology.
Asher's voice was filled with bitter remorse, "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have lied to you. I... I also apologize for my previous intrusion. I won't bother you anymore in the future. I'm sorry..."
Asher spoke sincerely, hoping to gain Stella's trust.
"Forgive me.”
He knew Stella would never forgive him. He was just playing with her emotions.
Stella was like poison, and he couldn't resist getting close to her.
"Me, pestering you? When have I ever pestered you?" Stella asked strangely, her tone suddenly lightening as she jokingly teased the awkward and conflicted Asher.
"Huh?" Asher exclaimed in surprise, turning his head to look at her, feeling a bit foolish.
"I said I don’t want to be your girlfriend, date you, or marry you?" Stella said with a smile.
"I..." Asher was speechless.
"Besides, I've already said that I won't get married in this lifetime and have no intention of dating anymore, haven't I?" Stella huffed.
With her words, Asher felt as if he had been deluded into thinking more than he should have. But then he realized it wasn't like that.
"If you feel guilty, then prepare a birthday gift for me," Stella said with a smile.
"Birthday gift?" Asher turned his head in confusion.
"In four days, this weekend, it's my birthday. Prepare a decent gift for me. And besides, accompany me for a shopping trip," Stella said with a teasing smile.
"That's it?"
"Are you agreeing to it then?"
"In two days, right? I'll make sure to prepare," Asher nodded.
"Hmm, remember to bring your machete with you. In case that guy Arthur comes to bother us, you need to protect me," Stella said with a mischievous smile, glancing at the black cloth-wrapped item on the backseat, The Snow.
"How did you know it's a knife?" Asher asked in surprise.
"That day when I sprained my ankle, of course, I went to the car and took a look," Stella proudly stated.
She was a curious woman. She noticed that Asher always carried this thing with him, even to work. So that day, when Asher left it with her, she couldn't resist limping downstairs to secretly take a look.
Now, thinking back to Asher beating up thirty bodyguards earlier, and his blushing and excited demeanor whenever he saw a woman, Stella even suspected that this guy had time-traveled from ancient times.
But ironically, this guy was still her boss, holding a university degree.
Now she knew about Asher's other identity and naturally knew that although Asher was married to Avery, everyone had a different opinion about him. They said he was useless, incapable of even touching his wife after three years of marriage.
Stella didn't agree with the notion that Asher was useless, but she admitted that he really hadn't touched Avery, nor any other woman.
The way he clumsily and excitedly kissed and hugged her was both cute and amusing to think about.
Stella pursed her lips and said, "I've already planned out what we'll do on my birthday. You come to pick me up with the car at 10 a.m.. I want to sleep in and then take my time getting ready."
10 a.m.? Is that still considered morning?
Asher muttered under his breath, smiling bitterly as he nodded, "Alright."
To be honest, Asher couldn't quite figure out Stella's mind. Normally, if it were an ordinary woman who knew her partner had a wife and still had inappropriate desires, she would have definitely slapped and cursed at herself.
Asher was even prepared to be slapped by Stella.
But Stella didn't do that. She even knew that he had a wife, yet she wanted him to spend her birthday with her.
Amid Asher's dilemma, the two of them drove to the company.
In the afternoon, Asher left work early and picked up a car, spending $140,000 on it.
The car served as a medium. He didn't want to get too close to Stella because of the car, entangling themselves too much, especially when they were alone.
But Asher couldn't help it, he couldn't resist getting closer. Even at the office, he still called Stella into his own office alone to discuss work matters.
Asher was tormented; he wished he could die.
In Asher's heart, Stella was just too perfect.
He wanted to get closer, yet he didn't dare to get too close.
Being far away made his heart itch, being close made his heart panic.
Asher felt like his heart was swinging back and forth like a pendulum between itching and panic...
He knew that being in this state with Stella was very dangerous, but he still agreed to celebrate her birthday with her.
Asher was fully embodying the despicable nature of men.
The next evening, he received a message from Avery. Because of the successful investment contract signed between the Morgan family and Fly Pictures, they were going to hold a celebration.
Avery asked him to come and pick her up in the car.
A couple of days ago, this foolish woman had cut her finger and injured her knee, making it inconvenient for her to drive. That's also why Asher was in a hurry to buy a car.
In fact, for the past couple of days, Asher had been driving her around to make up for his guilt towards Avery.
When he arrived at the Color Company, Asher greeted the employees outside first.
Many of the old employees here knew that their CEO, Avery, was already married, and it was none other than Asher in front of them.
They didn't really have any positive feelings towards Asher, as they had heard about the boss marrying this useless son-in-law. They also thought that Avery was beautiful and capable, yet she ended up marrying someone like him.
However, they recently heard that this useless son-in-law had changed a lot, and even the reason they were able to secure the cooperation with Fly Pictures was because of his great efforts.
Surviving in this society is not easy; more friends mean more paths. So, when Asher arrived, these employees showed a good amount of enthusiasm.
After all, he was still the CEO's husband. And recently, they noticed that the CEO's mood had improved a lot. Previously, whenever they talked, she never mentioned Asher.
But now, Avery often mentioned her husband, and her face was filled with joy.
It would have been close to the end of the day now, and many of the workers would have had time to laugh and talk with Asher after they had finished their work.
Asher talked to them for half a day before he waved his hand and headed for the Goddess' wife's office.
"Come in." Asher knocked on the door and Avery's voice immediately rang out from inside.
Asher walked in and was greeted by Avery sitting at her desk with a somewhat icy stare in her eyes.
"What's wrong?" Asher felt a little strange, as his eyes could not help but fall under the desk, on a pair of snow-white legs.
Since they were leaving soon for the Morgan family villa, Avery has obviously done a special dress. She was wearing a strip of coffee-colored skirt, noble and elegant, wrapped, outlining the undulating and exquisite curves, a pair of long legs under the hem of the skirt and did not hit the stockings, the perfect arc, which left a person dazzled.
"Why do you do talk to them so much? Do you guys know each other well? And who told you I like pasta?" Avery grunted in exasperation and stared at Asher.
Because she didn't have a lot of money in the past, this so-called president's office of hers was very simply decorated and the office door wasn't soundproof. She had just heard this asshole husband of hers in her office talking to the female staff outside, even talking about herself and what she liked.
As if they were in love.
"I'm just saying." Asher hemmed and hawed, walked over to Avery and bent down, laughing, "Dear Avery, come on, let hubby check out your legs."
The result of getting carried away and running his mouth was to be greeted with an unmerciful kick from Avery, and until the time he walked to the elevator, Asher kept grimacing and wincing in pain.
Asher followed behind Avery, who had her bag in her hand, heels clacking from behind, and her expression deservedly icy cold,
This asshole is really getting bolder and bolder, how dare he try to touch her leg?
"I want to eat spaghetti tonight." Sitting in the Hyundai Minto, Avery said with an expressionless face, as if giving orders to a subordinate.
"Oh, I know there's a good Italian restaurant three miles away from our neighborhood, it should be good there." Asher sat in the driver's seat with a thoughtful look on his face, the pasta was a recipe he saw today when he was bored browsing the website, and it just came out of his mouth when he was chatting with the girls.
Avery pressed her bag into his lap and said, "I want to eat it made by you."
Asher wanted to hit the wall at that moment, admonishing himself that he would never talk down to Avery again. Eat your own handmade food? This woman was obviously trying to make things difficult for herself.
Guess I'll have to go home and look up the recipe myself tonight.
