-Jacey-
Because the canoe was a complete loss, it took two trips to get all our gear back to the landing. My father insisted on running both, dropping Jeanie and me off at the landing and hauling the rest with Caleb.
I wasn’t sure what they talked about, but Caleb did not return to the landing looking particularly happy.
“I’m so glad you two got back to us safe,” Jeanie said for the thousandth time, hugging us both under each arm.
“And that you finally learned how to be a good brother and sister,” my father added.
“Stepbrother,” Caleb corrected him.
My father shrugged. “Same difference.”
“Big difference,” Caleb gritted out.
“Oh no. You two aren’t going to fight again, are you?” Jeanie asked, her eyes welling with tears.
I was pretty sure Caleb was making the distinction in deference to the fact I’d sucked his cock not six hours ago. I smiled and took Jeanie’s hand. “We’re not going to fight.”
“And you’re not going to fight with Hank?” Jeanie said desperately to her son.
I could almost hear Caleb counting backward from twenty in his mind. “No,” he replied, “I won’t fight with Hank.”
“Oh, you’re such a love,” Jeanie smiled, hugging her son again.
“Oi, if you’re done being all lovey-dovey over there, this Suburban isn’t going to load itself,” my father said.
Caleb got a look on his face that I’d learned to interpret as dangerous. Well, not dangerous exactly. More like rebellious. And that rebelliousness usually manifested itself... inside me.
Though we had sex out of love and commitment to each other, I knew there was a tiny part of Caleb that was comforted by the fact he was screwing Hank’s daughter right under his nose.
“I think I’ll hit the head,” Caleb stated then, giving me a significant look. “Jacey, you need to go before we leave?”
Code: Jacey, I think you need to give me head before we leave.
I frowned at Caleb and shook my head sharply. “No, I’m good.”
“Hurry up,” my father grunted. “You two always holding us up, ruining the trip...”
Anger flashed in my gut.
“You know what? It’s a long time until the first gas station. I think I’ll go, too,” I said.
“Ugh. That’ll take even longer. Women and their...” my father muttered under his breath.
I didn’t catch the rest because I was following Caleb into the woods.
Caleb started undoing his pants before we were even out of sight of the landing. Once we were completely away from prying eyes, he pulled out his dick.
I knelt on the ground without being asked and took him in my mouth.
Caleb wrapped my braid around his hand and used it to anchor me to him. But, per our previous agreement, he did not try to shove himself down my throat and choke me.
I sucked Caleb until he was hard and was prepared to keep going, but he pulled me off his cock just as I was starting to swallow the first drops of his precum.
“Get on all fours,” Caleb said in a strained voice.
With a nod, I did so. Caleb knelt behind me and reached around to unzip my jeans, before pulling both my jeans and panties down to my knees. Then he shoved one hand up under my shirt and bra to massage my breast while pushing two fingers inside me.
He didn’t need to bother. I was wet for him. I was always wet for him. But Caleb was a considerate lover, and I appreciated that.
I felt my juices dripping down the insides of my thighs before Caleb finally withdrew his fingers and slid his dick in where they had been. I moaned as he grabbed my hips and pulled me back sharply, forcing me to take every glorious inch of him in one hard thrust.
“You like that, baby?” Caleb whispered, his balls slapping against me as he began fucking me hard and fast.
“Ahuh,” I managed, feeling his dick go deep with every thrust.
Caleb kept up the pace, gripping my hips and slamming me back onto him over and over. He moved his thumb in to rub my clit. “Baby, are you close?”
“Ah... ah... yes...” I gasped. Two more thrusts sent me right over the edge, and I came around Caleb’s cock.
With a groan, Caleb filled me up with his cum. I felt it trickle out of me along with my juices when he pulled out.
Caleb quickly pulled some Kleenex out of his pocket and mopped me up while I sank down onto my elbows, panting.
“You’re my good girl,” Caleb murmured, kissing my ass cheek before tugging my panties back up. “My sweet baby.”
“I am. I’m your baby,” I said tiredly, wobbling to my feet with Caleb’s help. He pulled up my jeans and zipped them, then got my breast back into my bra and pulled down my shirt.
I tucked his dick away after giving it a loving little kiss, and zipped up Caleb’s jeans. I looked up at Caleb and blushed, not sure how to formulate what I wanted to say next. What I needed to say.
Caleb caressed my cheek while I dusted my hands over my knees to clear off pine needles and other debris. “What’s the matter?”
I bit my lip. “I’m just not... sure... it’s such a good idea... to revenge fuck... every time my dad pisses us off.”
“Why? You afraid we’ll never stop fucking?” Caleb chuckled. He sobered when he saw the look on my face. “You don’t think I’m with you just to give your dad the finger behind his back, do you?”
“N-No...” I said evasively.
“Aw, baby, I’m sorry. I’m being a dick if that’s what you’re starting to think.” Caleb wrapped his arms around me and pulled me against his chest. “That’s not why I’m with you at all.”
I played with the hem of his shirt. “I know. I just...”
Caleb tilted my head up and kissed me soundly on the mouth. “I love you, Jacey. That’s why we make love. And we’ll stop fucking just because your dad pisses me off now and then. You’re right. It’s not a good precedent to set in our relationship.”
“Thanks, Caleb,” I replied with a smile.
Caleb kissed me again, then we broke apart, and he swatted me playfully on the ass. “Better be getting back. I’ll let you go first. Show him girls don’t always take the longest.”
I giggled. “He’s still going to complain.”
“Let him. We’ll be on the road soon enough, whether he complains or not,” Caleb said.
“You going to play sudoku again?” I asked, giving my ass a little wiggle as I started back.
“Nah. No need to distract myself this time. I’ve got what I want,” Caleb grinned.
It warmed me inside to know he’d been trying to distract himself from me just as much as I’d been trying to distract myself from him. And that we didn’t have to do that anymore.
Sure enough, when I walked out of the woods and into the scrub brush, my father was pacing next to the packed Suburban.
“Oh good, you’re back,” he grunted. “Where’s Caleb? Shouldn’t take a man longer than it takes a woman.”
I shrugged innocently. “I’m not sure, Dad. We didn’t cross paths.”
“Pretty soon I’m sending you right back out there to find him,” my father grumbled.
“What if he’s... you know...” Jeanie said, putting a hand on my father’s arm. “It wouldn’t be appropriate for Jacey to see her brother that way.”
“Stepbrother,” I corrected without thinking.
“Oh dear. You two ARE fighting again,” Jeanie sighed unhappily.
“We’re not fighting,” I said quickly. “It’s just...”
“Just what?” my father asked.
“I... it... we...” I stuttered.
Luckily, Caleb made his appearance right at that moment. “Why’s everybody frowning?”
“Are you and your sister fighting?” Jeanie’s voice quavered.
“No,” Caleb said. “But she’s my stepsister.”
“See? There you go again! What’s the difference?” my father demanded.
“The difference is we’re not blood related,” Caleb explained.
“So? She’s your sister. You’re her brother. If you weren’t acting like it, I’d smack you both upside the head,” my father complained. “We’re all a family now, and we’re going to act like one. Maybe we should all have gotten lost in the woods.”
“I don’t recommend it,” Caleb muttered.
My father glowered at him and opened his mouth to say something, but Jeanie put her hand on his arm again. “Let’s just get in the truck and start for home,” she suggested.
Grumbling under his breath, my father nodded and headed for the driver’s seat.
Caleb and I squeezed into the back next to some gear while Jeanie took the passenger seat.
“You really should let Caleb sit up here because of the leg room,” Jeanie said to my father, even as she was buckling her seatbelt.
“The boy can suffer. ‘Stepsister’ ‘stepbrother,’ ugh. It’s like they’re trying to piss me off,” my father grumped, starting the Suburban.
Caleb pulled a scratchy flannel blanket out of the back of the Suburban and draped it over us as the Suburban slowly began to warm up. We bumped along the gravel road, holding hands under the blanket while my father openly held Jeanie’s hand up front.
When we had to stop for a logging truck, Caleb’s grip tightened, both of us remembering the tense day we’d had with the illegal loggers.
“Damn those things kick up a lot of dust,” my father groused as we pulled back onto the gravel road, enveloped in a dirt cloud.
I didn’t know how my father saw anything at all, and wondered if he actually COULD see anything the way we bumped and bobbed into every deep pothole on the road.
The way Caleb’s breathing began to wheeze, I realized he was feeling claustrophobic. I squeezed his hand and stroked his thigh with my thumb.
It calmed him a bit. Caleb squeezed his eyes shut, pretending to sleep.
“Asleep already? Wonder what has the boy so tuckered out,” my father mused.
“Probably carrying all the gear back and forth,” Jeanie said, smiling back at us. “You should take a nap, too, Jacey. We were up very early this morning.”
“True,” I agreed. I closed my eyes, but, like Caleb, only pretended to sleep.
“When do you think we should tell them?” Jeanie asked after a while.
My father chuckled. “Would have been on Jacey’s birthday, but that got screwed up.”
“I still don’t know how they’ll take it,” Jeanie said. “I’m still worried it wasn’t the best idea. I’m going to need help, and your work schedule—”
“Jacey’ll come home on the weekends,” my father replied dismissively. “And seems Caleb’s going to be staying with us for at least a year before he gets it together and goes on with his medical degree.”
“True.” Jeanie was silent a while, then continued. “Do you really think they won’t mind?”
“Of course they won’t mind. They’ll be thrilled to have a little brother or sister to take care of,” my father assured her.
Caleb’s grip on my hand tightened so much it hurt. I’d dug my other hand into my thigh, anger sparking through me. My father and Jeanie were having a baby, and expecting US to take care of it?!
“I don’t want to ruin Jacey’s college experience—” Jeanie began.
“Then don’t,” Caleb said suddenly, his eyes flying open. His cheeks were flushed with rage, and I squeezed his hand several times, but it didn’t seem to help. “Grow up, Mom. It’s your baby. You take care of it.”
Jeanie hitched a sob. “You’re not happy about the baby?”
“About being a live-in babysitter while I’m trying to work, and Jacey’s having her first year of college? Not so much, no,” Caleb snapped. “And stop twisting this around. You want me to see Jacey as my sister? Fine. But that makes you her mother. And no real mother would sacrifice the happiness of one child for another.”
Jeanie burst into tears, and my father looked positively murderous as he glared at Caleb in the rearview mirror, his eyes darting occasionally to me in disappointment, even though I hadn’t said a thing.
“Don’t make me come back there,” my father growled.
“Oh, bring it, you old misogynistic sonofabitch,” Caleb shot back.
The Suburban fishtailed as my father stomped down on the brakes. “That’s it. Out. You’re walking.”
Caleb undid his seatbelt. “Fine by me.” He started crawling over me.
I undid my own seatbelt and followed him.
“Just where the fuck do you think you’re going?!” my father snarled at me.
“Walking. If Caleb’s walking, I’m walking. And thanks so much. This has been the best birthday EVER,” I said sarcastically, hopping out of the Suburban after Caleb and slamming the door behind me.
I wasn’t sure if he’d actually do it or not, but after about five minutes of muffled voices in the Suburban, my father stepped on the gas and left us in the dust.
