Chapter 101

“If we fuck?” The thought flashed through Stacy and brought out that stupid grin of his.

“If we become intimate,” Darian said with a smile, “I don’t want anyone holding it against you. You need to stick with your schoolwork, Stacy. Get through the program. For me. What happens after that…” He shrugged, but his smile lit up his eyes and his hand tightened around Stacy’s. “Well, we’ll see.”

To Stacy that meant yes 19

That brief kiss lingered long after Darian said goodnight. Stacy lay beneath covers still warm from their combined body heat and stared into the unfamiliar darkness as he played back the kiss in his mind. His lips still tingled where they touched Darian’s. And damn, but his cock still ached with an erection he wasn’t quite willing to get rid of just yet.

Stacy wasn’t used to kissing. The only other guy he’d ever kissed was Ange, and then only as a prelude to sex. Lamar, never. But those few seconds when Darian’s mouth was on his enflamed him more than any of Ange’s kisses ever had, and Stacy wanted to do it again, now, forever. He wanted to taste Darian, take his tongue into his mouth, kiss until their lips buzzed, swollen and numb. For the first time he could remember, Stacy thought maybe he wanted those kisses more than he wanted sex. The thought of Darian kissing him as they fucked just about short-circuited his brain. He imagined Darian above him, the heavy weight of his body pinning Stacy to the bed, his mouth on Stacy’s as he eased between Stacy’s spread legs…the image was so real, Stacy could almost feelthe tip of Darian’s hard shaft poke against his trembling ass.

So much for staying hard.Rolling away from the door, Stacy fisted the sheets around his erection and thrust into his hand, jerking himself to release, the thought of Darian moving above him, in him, egging him on. He sighed his boss’s name when he came.

Then he threw back the covers, stripped off his soiled boxers, and kicked them to the floor. He considered leaving it at that and sleeping commando, but this wasn’t his bedroom, no matter what Darian said to the contrary, and chances were that James would jump on his bed in the morning to wake him up. If the boy crawled beneath his covers, Stacy didn’t want to have to explain why he was naked from the waist down.

Without turning on the light, Stacy got out of bed and stumbled around it to the dresser. He rummaged through the drawers until he found another pair of boxers by touch alone. As he pulled them on, he imagined Darian walking in on him like this, bent over stepping into his boxers, clicking on the light to tell him something and getting a full view of his bare ass. The thought made him hard all over again, and the front of his boxers tented obscenely as he climbed back into bed. He lay on his stomach this time, and the sweet pressure on his dick from being caught between his body and the mattress kept him awake long into the night.

Stacy woke to the smell of frying eggs and fresh coffee. Without opening his eyes, he burrowed deeper into covers that hugged him like a protective armor, warming him, shielding him from the real world. He’d had the most wonderful dream—something with Darian in it, but the images faded as he struggled to stay asleep and the harder he tried to hold onto them, the faster they dispersed. Soon he found it difficult to keep his eyes shut, so he stared at a shadow on the wall and tried to think of nothing at all.

The past few days were creeping up on him, filling his muscles with weariness, dragging him down. The fight with Lamar…was that only the other night? It seemed like weeks ago, years even. Yesterday he spent half his time worried that Lamar would find him somehow, track him down, but how would his friend do that? Where would he even start to look? For all his knew, Stacy had effectively disappeared. Thanks to Darian—

Wait.Pushing himself up, Stacy frowned out the window through sheer curtains at the top of Darian’s dogwood tree. If Lamar didn’t know where he was, that meant Ange didn’t, either. Or his mother. If she should call the apartment looking for him…if she neededhim…

Jolted into action, Stacy scrambled from the bed, tangling up in the sheets and kicking them away as he tried to stand. He had to call her, today, now, and tell her where he was so she wouldn’t worry. And Ange should know, as well—he wouldn’t tell Lamar, Stacy knew he wouldn’t, and he’d be lying if he tried to tell himself he didn’t want to hear his friend’s smoked out voice curl through him again.
