Chapter 295 Gabriel’s Secret Exposed
Chapter 295 Gabriel’s Secret Exposed
The elevator doors opened to reveal two women inside.
At the sight of the handsome man entering, with his striking features, refined bearing, and impeccable style, both women's eyes lit up, clearly dazzled.
But the next second, they lost all interest in admiring the eye candy.
Because the two men who stepped in were each colder than the other.
The air in the cramped elevator car seemed to freeze solid, chilling to the bone and making them shiver.
Though there were four people in total, the silence was as profound as a morgue.
Only when the elevator reached the ground floor and the doors opened did the two men exit one after another. The women behind them finally gasped for breath.
"God, such handsome men—too bad they're like ice sculptures!"
"Tell me about it."
Gabriel and Manuel, who'd barely left the elevator, both turned back at these words and shot them icy glares. The women flinched, frozen in place until the men were far away.
Gabriel's car was parked not far from the building. After stepping out first, he paused, waiting for his rival to pass. When Manuel drew level, Gabriel spoke coldly, "How long are you planning to keep this up? She'll never be with you."
Manuel stopped but didn't turn around. Instead, he adjusted his gold-rimmed glasses and replied evenly, "Who says loving someone means possessing them? I just want to watch over her quietly until she finds happiness again."
Gabriel smiled. "Is that so? Won't be long then. Hope you keep your word when the time comes."
Manuel turned around, his refined features clearly troubled. "What do you mean? Are you two getting remarried?"
Gabriel lowered his head slightly. "Seems even you think her happiness lies with me."
Manuel was at a loss for words.
He'd had more to say, but seeing Gabriel's smug expression, he knew further conversation was pointless. He simply turned and walked away.
Having bested his rival, Gabriel's mood lifted from stormy to sunny.
Reaching his car and opening the door, he paused before getting in to glance back up at the building. A roguish smile curved his lips before he drove off.

Arabella had been holed up at home for two days, but far from subsiding, the situation had only intensified.
Despite Starsea Media's considerable experience and multiple strategies to reduce the heat, nothing worked.
It was as if an invisible hand kept fanning the flames, determined to escalate the crisis.
Moreover, resourceful netizens had quickly dug up Arabella's past, including her former marriage into high society.
Gabriel's photos were posted online too.
This revelation caused an uproar, and soon someone claimed to have seen him in the residential elevator—thus, even without leaving home, Arabella's address was exposed.
Though Gabriel had said he'd give her enough time and space to handle this, he couldn't help worrying and had secretly stationed people to watch over her.
So when suspicious individuals appeared near the complex, Gabriel received word immediately.
Arabella had just finished work and stood up to prepare something to eat when her phone rang.
Seeing it was Gabriel, she felt resistant but still answered.
"Hello..."
"Are you okay? Has anyone come to harass you?" Gabriel asked right away.
Arabella was confused. "No, why would anyone harass me?"
"Ha! You fool!" Gabriel said bluntly. "Your address has been leaked. You're not safe staying home. You need to relocate now."
Arabella was about to start cooking. At his words, her heart jumped. "I haven't gone out in days—how was it leaked?"
Gabriel didn't explain that Manuel and he had been spotted in the elevator days earlier. He simply ordered firmly, "Don't stay there. You won't be able to leave soon if you do. Pack quickly and go to Building 16, the unit directly across from yours. The keypad code is your birthday. Wait there, and I'll come get you later."
Not trusting his subordinates to escort her safely, Gabriel arranged for her to hide in another property first.
Arabella was startled again. "Building 16? Whose place is that?"
"Don't worry about whose it is! Just go when I tell you to, and stop arguing, or you really won't get out!" After giving these instructions, Gabriel waited for her agreement before hanging up.
Then he immediately sent the building number, unit number, and keypad code again via Facebook, urging her once more to hurry.
Having already experienced the power of online harassment, Arabella didn't hesitate or take chances after seeing the Facebook message. For once, she obediently followed Gabriel's advice.
As she quickly packed and headed out, Ella called, saying her home address had been doxxed and warning her to be careful.
"I know. Gabriel just contacted me and told me to relocate. I'm leaving now."
Hearing this, Ella relaxed somewhat, then paused before asking, "Arabella, maybe you should respond to this publicly. I talked with Raymond today, and he suggested the same thing. Whether you acknowledge her or not, give a direct response. Once people get their answer, they'll lose interest."
The elevator reached the ground floor and opened.
Arabella held her phone up, her arm conveniently blocking half her face as she passed someone entering the elevator.
"This is the building, right?"
"Yes, it's clearly stated online!"
"Let's go up and check!"
She caught fragments of conversation. Initially paying no attention, the instant the doors closed, she suddenly realized—
That unfamiliar girl might be going up to find her!
Her heartbeat immediately became erratic with panic. Gripping her phone without speaking, she hurried out through the security door before finally lowering her head and saying quietly, "Ella, I'll call you back."
Ella agreed and hung up.
But Arabella kept her phone raised without lowering it, head slightly bowed, using her hair to hide most of her face as she headed straight for Building 16.
Reaching the unit Gabriel had specified, she looked at the fingerprint lock and entered her birthday.
How strange...
With curiosity and suspicion stirring in her heart, Arabella pulled open the door and cautiously stepped inside.
Looking around, she found the apartment had simple, elegant decor and was so spotlessly clean it resembled a model home—it didn't look lived in.
She set down her bag and phone, walking through the space. In the master bedroom, she saw bedding on the large bed, with a set of men's pajamas tossed at the foot.
She recognized them immediately as Gabriel's.
So without question, this property belonged to Gabriel.
No wonder the keypad code was her birthday.
The mystery solved, she returned to the living room, then noticed a telescope on the balcony. Her delicate brows furrowed.
Curious, she walked over and bent down to look through the eyepiece. She immediately gasped!
The lens pointed directly at her apartment's living room and the bay window of her master bedroom!
Gabriel's words echoed in her mind—the unit directly across from yours...
That perverted creep!
He'd deliberately bought this unit directly facing hers and set up a telescope just to secretly observe her every move from here?
This was outrageous!
She wanted to call and give him a thorough scolding, but as she walked back to the table and picked up her phone, she suppressed the urge.
Forget it. With his thick skin, he'd just argue sophistry or make excuses. Scolding wouldn't accomplish anything.
She silently calmed herself, took out her laptop, and prepared to continue working.
The doorbell rang. She jumped, thinking Gabriel had returned already.
