Chapter 13

They both walked miles away from the mansion into the woods. Rubby have heard the story of how Callous Diamond is and that should have stopped her from following him however it seems the story actually threatened her.

What if she refuses to follow him and then Diamond dig his claws right inside her chest and bring out her heart.

The thought of that made her shiver.

In as much as she does not want to get on Silver's bad side, getting on Diamond's bad side won't be a great idea either.

She stealthily walked behind Diamond as they finally got to a forest. It was as quiet as a graveyard or perhaps it was a graveyard.

There were names of people hung on trees, on some trees she could see the names of dead great werewolves who did a great deal and were forever in people's memory.

She stopped as Diamond stopped in front of a tree of which two names were hung. Riele and Daniel Arstong.

Rubby knew instantly that they were the twins parents.

But why did Diamond bring her there?

"You know them, right?" He asked while bringing out a rose from his pocket and dropping it in front of the tree

"If I am correct then they are your parents" Rubby replied, her face glued to the names on the tree

Diamond seems impressed by her answer as a smile appeared on his face. He sighed and turned to look at her, giving her a pleased expression

"You are smarter than I thought" he said.

"I've always been smart" Rubby grumbled "By the way, why did you bring me here? I mean nothing to you so why would you take me to see your parents"

"Don't get mistaken, you actually mean a lot to me" Diamond smirked "You can just think of this as me bringing you to see your in-laws"

After a long time of staring at each other, Rubby slowly darted her eyes to the tree and moved closer, placing her palm on it.

She wanted to ask how they died but she thought it would hurt if she does that so she came up with another question

"By the way, were your parents cremated?"

"No" Diamond replied bluntly.

Rubby arched her brow and glanced at him.

If they were not cremated then why are their names on a tree

"My parents were buried at the sand Breaker cemetery" he added.

Rubby has heard about the Sand Beaker pack having a cemetery for all the deceased in their pack.

"Then why did we visit here and not the cemetery?" Rubby needed an answer.

"I was banned from visiting their cemetery" Diamond's face flushed as he said this. One could see the sadness in his eyes

"Why were you banned?" Rubby suddenly found herself getting emotional, even though she has been trying to keep a distance from him, she found herself moving closer to him. Just to hear his story.

"Well... Some incident happened and everyone in the pack thought it was my fault my parents died. I was not allowed to visit their funeral and furthermore I was banned from visiting their cemetery so I just had to do this" He pointed at the tree trying to replace his sadness with a grin.

"I am not sure what you did but...." Rubby sighed "you not being able to visit their funeral was enough punishment for you"

"Are you curious to know what happened?" Diamond's lip tightened and his eyebrows furrowed "well your fucking goddamn mate...."

"You mean your twin brother" Rubby interrupted

"Don't call him that!" He snapped "It's annoying to hear people call him my brother. We are total strangers".

Hearing Diamond say this, Rubby knew something more was going on between them than other people think.

Just what in the world happened that they have to deny each other this much?

Just as she was about to say something, few things happened in a short period of time right before her eyes.

From Diamond dodging a sharp knife which ended up inside the tree and silver strangling him. They were so fast that all these happened in seconds.

Before she would know it, Silver was strangling Diamond and he was choking.

"What are you doing?!" She yelled on top of her voice, trying to separate them but rather, Silver pushed her to the ground.

"Stay out of this" he warned furiously.

Both their eyes turned red and their claws and fangs came out. It looks like in the next minute they would both be dead if they are not stopped.

Within a short period of time, Diamond stabbed Silver's abdomen with his claws.

Silver howled in pain as he gently released his grip from Diamond's neck. He covered the wounded part with his palm as his eyeballs turned back to their normal colours.

The pain was nothing, he knew it would heal in time but if Diamond could Stab him then it means he could shoot him with a bullet made of wolfsbane which is why he had to let go.

"How dare you attack me?" Diamond was panting heavily as he wiped blood off his hand with an handkerchief "You might be an Alpha but you are no match for me".

Silver was mute for a while waiting for his wound to heal and within a few minutes, the wound healed.

He stood uprightly and took a deep breath.

"I told you to stay away from her!" He yelled and grabbed Diamond by his collar "if you have anything to say, say it to me directly. Stop dragging her into this"

"Drag her into what?" Diamond grinned "I only brought her here to have a nice conversation"

"You guys" Rubby heard herself say. She also thought she was crazy for interrupting but it seems it was really a time she needs to step in.

"I don't know what is going on but let's use our words" she gulped nervously.

"Fuck using our words" Diamond smirked "I prefer when there's blood".
