••Amelia's POV••••
It was a Tuesday morning, I woke up from the left side of my bed.
Stretched my arms and walked towards my mirror, I nearly shouted.
I freaking look like a widow who was about to run mad, my hair was all messy.
I grumbled as I walked to my bathroom to brush my teeth and took a long shower, I felt fresh as I hummed a song while applying my lotions.
My skin was so smooth, and that was a disadvantage cause Jolie so hated the fact that I was prettier, I'm not bragging though.
It was a fact, that I was the replica of my mom whom my stepmom, Marion despised.
Just then the doorknob of my room twisted and noises could be heard on the other side.
I frowned as I remembered what today was all about.
Gosh, my wedding.
I facepalm, I wasn't the type of girl to cry over things easily but this... getting sold to a stranger?? It was too hard to bear.
How can a father sell his daughter?? Selfish man, I hate them all.
There was never a time I was part of this family, after the death of my mother due to a car accident and my father brought home his mistress with a child. My life had changed for the worst but I kept pulling up my guts, I wasn't the weak type of girl or a damsel in distress waiting for a prince charming to save her.
I had already accepted my fate last night, I knew I could do nothing about it, the only thing I'm nervous about it how the damn husband looked like.
Pushing the door open, my dad walked in alongside my stepmom and a few women.
" Okay you can start doing your job, the groom's family will be coming soon" my father shamelessly said.
I remained still, sitting there and letting the ladies do their thing, I remained expressionless all through.
I could hear shouts and laughter downstairs close to the garden, lots of chattering.
I couldn't believe this day would ever come when I'd get married to a man I never like.
Though I never had a love life I Knew what was best for me and getting married to a rich, cold, and arrogant man as the tale goes, made me know that this whole thing; this whole marriage stuff was sure going to be doomed.
Done with the makeup and styling my hair, I was made to slide into my simple wedding dress.
Body fitting white dress, with diamond stones all over the chest area, it was a toe length dress, with a side cut making it look classic.
I hadn't imagined myself in a wedding dress before as I stared at the girl who was staring at me from the mirror.
Was this me?? I fucking look classic, beautiful, sexy, and mesmerizing.
Oops my bad, I just love to praise myself a lot hehe
I was pleased with the dress but not pleased with whatever was happening.
I sat down after wearing the dress with a cold expression.

••••Alexander's POV••••
I groaned as George kept fixing the damn tie, he was clearly making a joke of me.
" Can you be fast about it, you're choking me you bastard" I spat out as I was so tired of his deliberate clumsiness.
" Hey relax, no one is going to steal your bride, you're being in too much of a hurry, let me take my time and dress the groom of the year" George chuckled at that, he was probably having fun right now.
" I seriously hate you," I said feeling my forehead in exasperation.
" I love you dear hehe" George laughed as hard as he could.
But anyway, he knotted the tie and I was free from his clutches, I walked towards the silent Liam, who was sitting on the bed checking something on his laptop.
" Hey Xander, take a look" Liam beckoned to me but I was too lazy to come over as today's plan was messing with my sanity.
Seeing that I wasn't coming, George went to meet Liam.
" Was I calling you??" Liam asked George.
" You called for someone who doesn't feel the need to come so I came instead, what's the deal about it??" George could be so shameless at times, I rolled my eyes.
" Wow, who do we have here??" George exclaimed when he looked at Liam's laptop.
" That's Alex's bride," Liam answered immediately irking my curiosity as I stood up and walked toward them.
" Woah, are you going to fall in love now??" George teasingly asked but I ignored his babbling as I moved toward Liam's laptop.
There was a picture of a girl, she looked young but the background seemed like a military training camp, I frowned at that, was she a military??.
I've asked Gary to investigate her but I still don't know why he hasn't reported back, well leave it.
She was beautiful though but a woman remains a woman, she's coming for the money.
Gold diggers.
I snorted as I left them and walked outside, as they ran after me, walking towards the garage, I received a text from my dad saying that I should come to the venue immediately, I sat at the back seat with Liam and George on the passenger seat, as the driver drove us.
On our way, my phone rang, after the call went through a voice came " Don I gotten her information".
" Keep them in my office, I'll check it out later".
I disconnected the call and soon enough we were at the wedding.
It happened so fast that I was already standing on the alter with the girl who can be considered pretty, I was frowning and she had a deadpan expression.
We were the exact description of the 'weird couples' of the century.
It beats my expectations, I thought she might cling to me, try to gain my attention or stuff but here she was, not smiling, not frowning.
Just going with the flow as if it was a nightmare that didn't belong to her.
" Do you Amelia Robertson take Alexander Ron as your lawfully wedded husband, promise to love and cherish, in joy and sorrow, sickness and in health, till death do you part??" The priest asked her but she remained silent and I dimmed my eyes a bit to size her up.
She was about 5'3 feet tall, with black hair and a small tender face but had a hidden fierceness in it, small cherry-shaped lips.
" Do you.." before the priest could repeat it she answered.
"I do"
I could see her parents breathe in a sigh of relief and I snicker at them.
I felt a little sympathy for her for having such shits as parents, they are too much.
" Do you Alexander Ron take Amelia Robertson as your lawfully wedded wife, promise to love and cherish, in joy and in sorrow, sickness and in health, till death do you part??" This Time it was my turn, I made my fists into a tight ball and said.
"Yes I do"
Never, it wasn't till death do us apart, it was till six months do us apart.....

•••Amelia's POV•••••
After the wedding was concluded, I and my groom sat in his car, heading towards his home.
It was such a long and silent drive, nobody talked to each other as we didn't feel the need to.
After the car parked in his compound that could be considered big, with a very big house.
As if waiting for the car to park for a long time, Alexander jumped down from the car carrying his suit in his hand as he made his way to the house.
The heck, how was I supposed to go in myself??.
I came down from the car, feeling lost but I didn't let it show on my face.
Just then a woman walked towards me, bowed, and said;
" Mrs. Amelia Ron, I'll escort you inside".
I felt awkward with the name attached to mine.
" Just call me Amelia"
The woman let out a small laugh " Sir won't permit that".
I was a bit speechless and gave up persuading her.
I secretly rolled my eyes as I followed her in.
I was shown to my room as I settled in, I walked to the closet to drop my luggage but was stunned at what I saw.
The closets were filled with clothes from different brands.
Everything inside was screaming Money, shoes, bags, and all types of brands of clothes.
I just threw my luggage to the side took a shower and changed into a short and top.
I tied my hair in a ponytail as I sat to think about my next step when I heard a knock on my door.
I opened it and a voice came" Mrs. Ron, sir asks for you in his study room".
" Oh.." I nodded as I followed the man to the study room.
When we got there, he knocked on the door and his voice came from inside.
"Come in"
He pushed the door open but didn't enter as I walked into the study.
He was there, sitting on a chair close to his table.
The study was dark with lots of books on the shelf, there were several sofas there.
"Sit" he commanded authoritatively and that irked me.
" Excuse you, Alexander Ron, I'm not your puppet you order around, I know what to do" I spat out.
I wasn't the type to be ordered around.
He creased his forehead as he was infuriated, he made his way toward me and I instinctively took a step back.
" How dare you??" He shouted as he grabbed my neck, choking me, and pressed me to the wall.
" Don't you dare, defy my orders. I'm your husband so you dare not..." He granted his teeth while still gripping my neck.
My face was flushed as I let a tear fall down.
This was my life, I was betrayed by my parents so I had to bear it, I couldn't show weakness.
As if something hit him, he let go of my neck walked towards his chair, and sat down in anger.
" Now, sit your ass down woman"
I slowly walked to his chair as if nothing happened earlier, sat on the chair nonchalantly.
I felt his gaze on me for a while before pulling a file out from his pile of documents and throwing it in my direction.
On the top of the book was boldly written CONTRACT.
I greased my brows as I opened the first page which contains rules;
1, you must abide by my words without questioning my authority.
I snorted at him, "Hello Mr, we're in the twenty-first century
Who wants a girl to worship him these days?? Please grow"
Then I continued with the other rules.
2, don't mingle or ask questions about my private life ( beware of your boundaries).
"As if I was going to"
I continued anyway...
3, while we're still married, you can't have any other relationships unless we're not together anymore.
" Well this third rule, I can comply but that rule should also apply to you too, stay put and tell all your fuck buddies that you're on leave"
4, there might be times when we have to get too touchy, especially when my parents are around.
5, if eventually you get pregnant for me, I'll keep the child in my custody.
" Hey I'm never going to get pregnant with your damn child."
He glared at me, "We'll see about that then"
I rolled my eyes.
6, do not go anywhere close to my room.
" Are you perhaps hiding a concubine there??" I asked with narrowed eyes.
He let out a small laugh before getting serious all of a sudden.
" Do not go there" he gritted out.
7, do NOT fall in love with me.."
Geez.
"I definitely agree to this part of the deal, do not fall in love with me.." I smirked because it made a little sense or should I say I am too confident? But either ways.
Alexander scoffed "You seem to be too over confident in yourself or it seem somebody of some sorts has been feeding you up with lies"
"And what's to suppose to mean?" I asked with raised brows, I knew my eyes were about to bore an hole in his body but I couldn't care less.
"Never mind" Alexander said lazily as he relaxed his back on the chair.
I just ignored him and continued with the book.
this contract expires in 6 months, after that.. we'll divorce.
" We'll divorce in six months??" I asked.
He turned towards me "Yes, for your information, I do not hate you because from your expression at the aisle, you had no idea so making you suffer for what you know nothing about.... that's rude I guess, but I don't like women,
yes I don't like them so we'll divorce after six months".
I nodded that was reasonable, from there we'll go our separate way.
" You'll be earning 800, 000 dollars a month"
What the fuck??
That was a lot of money.!
" Woah, I thought we were married, well I like this employer-to-employee relationship more"
He snorted "Women, you all like money"
" I can't do without it Sir" I teased.
" Interesting. Then that's all for today" he said as he cleared his throat.
I grinned at him and he raised an eyebrow.
Then I got up and walked out of the study towards my room.
I jumped on the bed while thinking.
Before the contract expires, I would have already bought a new house.
Then I'll be freaking rich!!!
