50. A Dream

50. A Dream
Sol Pov

I was in a dream that I had never had before, it felt as if I was awake and in in a white place. I had been told about this place. My mother had been here, she had told me. I thought back she said the Goddess resided here. Excitement ran through me, did this mean I was going to see my mother again or by some miracle with the goddess back? That brought a new question of where had she even gone and what happened? But I wasn’t alone in this place. I turned to the right, and I saw Cassius. He was looking around with a confused expression on his face.

That’s when I saw her, she was imitating pure white light. “Sol, where are we? Who is that?” Cassius asked me, as if I knew what this place was called. But I did know who the figure was that was approaching.  “That is the goddess, our creator” I said excitement filled me. I would meet her, just like my mother had.
She then stood before the two of us. My mother had been the only one who had met her not my father, just my mother. I was rather confused by both my mate, and myself being here. I didn’t know she would talk to both of us. Then again, I didn’t even know she would talk to me; I never considered myself special enough for her to summon me like she had with my mother.

“Welcome Sol, daughter of Kaya, my most beloved.” She said to me and then turned to Cassius. “And welcome Cassius, son of Howie, my most loathed” that felt so awkward to hear. “I think you two need to know some things and I’m here to guide you and give you some answers, though I do believe your beta Quientin will fill you in on the particulars of what happened at the party he attended. There’s a lot he will inform you of that is rather troublesome and worry inducing.”

I just stared at her, she was so bright. This was so surreal. “Sol I know you know this but I will say it so Cassius here knows to. I brought Sol’s mother her at one time. I commanded Kaya to combine the north and the south and make the south more in line with what it was supposed to be. I was remiss. I should’ve brought her mate up with her to talk to both of them, but I didn’t so this time I will talk to the two of you versus just one of you.” That explained why Cassius was here.

She glanced at Cassius when she spoke again “Your step family is rather horrible and has gone after me and my children.” I could tell he looked ashamed. “Though you played a small part in it. I will forgive you if you help your mate destroy them. I can’t have witches running around not only hunting werewolves, but myself. I know you were aware that she tried to kill me.” The look on his face, said that he did know. He had told me as much. “Venus didn’t succeed though, did she?” Cassius said his tone, was anything what it should be when talking to our creator. He was being defensive, and I knew it because he was ashamed to have been a small part of it.

“Watch your tone with me. And you are right, she didn’t, but she did damage me quite a lot. She’s currently working on a way to stop mate bonds from happening knowing that would be detrimental to your kind, and we can’t have that. She’s also poisoned my favorite pack and destroyed them and sent people to the garden much before their time. She’s also drove Kimi who I love a great deal and enjoyed conversations with insane.” so Kimi was actually insane. I knew she wasn’t healthy, but I didn’t know she was actually insane.

“She is doing this all in the name of her goddess, my sister, Hecate.” I stared at her not knowing how to respond. “When my sister saw me, she was furious, she may not like me and sure we quarrel but we are still sisters. She took offense to one of her children going after me. We are unlike you. We are immortal so you can see how that would be offensive. You two will both bring her down and not just her, her coven as well.”

This seemed like an impossible task, sure I could kill her but taking on a whole coven of witches, that seemed impossible. “Cassius you have your father's gift of speaking to natural wolves. He used it to turn on me and you will use it to avenge and protect me, do you understand?” He nodded. “Sol, I must commend you. Blood Born Pack it is what I envisioned for your mother to do. She did great work truly but what you are building is exactly as I wanted. I am back now and fully restored I will be watching and like with your mother, I will aid where and when I can.” All this talk about my mother I couldn’t help myself.

I had to ask. “Can I see my mother or my father?” She rested her hand on my shoulder. “I am sorry but no. They are in the garden now,” I burst into tears, the garden meant they were dead. “Do not worry, they are no lost child. They are just visiting there. Your mother has always been my favorite. I will give her a choice when it is safe. If she wishes to return to you and your father too as he is her mate.” I nodded wiping my tears. Hope blossomed in me, I would see them again.

She turned to Cassius “You will obey me if you do, I will forgive you for your misdeeds against your kind. And when you die you will be allowed into the garden unlike your father.” He went pale. “Where is he if he is not there in the garden.” He asked, I could hear in the Goddess that she did not favor Cassius, and she despised his father. “I put him in Tartarus, should you betray me again and turn your back on my gift to you, you’ll be in the cell next to him.”
Her face softened, and then she looked between us “Hold fast to your mate bond.” And then the bright light that surrounded us faded, and we were back in our bed in our small A-Frame cabin.
