Chapter 6
ELNORA CALDWELL's POV.
" Aaaaahhhhhhhh!!"
The brown dragon threw off from its back, scared to face the warrior dragon. I fell from the sky, a few feet above the ground. Thanks to my werewolf strength, I didn't break my bones, only scars from the bushes. But the growling didn't stop behind me. The warrior dragon chased me down and finally landed again in front of me, showing his gigantic body.
My breathing hitched in fear of it. The warrior dragon didn't like me and I could sense that. He was here to take me as his food just like the maids said. I kept my lips tight, my back hurting badly. I couldn't understand the reason behind the pain but it was burning all over my back.
The warrior dragon stomped forward, narrowing its eyes at me. His teeth were clenched together, showing his cruelty to his prey. I was getting nervous at each moment and wanted to run away but it would bring my death closer only. Suddenly, my wolf had become impatient, pushing to come out but I kept her locked inside.
Fuck.. Seriously..did she think that she could handle a big dragon?
I tried to keep my nerves calm but it was getting harder with each step towards me. The dragon was the scariest creature that I had ever seen. My mind diverted for a while. Before I could stop, my wolf was on the surface, glaring back at the dragon.
" Warrior Dragon!"
I was too stunned to hear my wolf speaking. She never made any noises outside my body but today I had to watch her talking. Her tone was more dominating than my original voice, not like the usual weak omega. Besides that, she was glaring back to the dragon with an equal dominant aura.
Much to my surprise, a moment of hesitation flickered in the dragon's eyes. Its demeanour turned a little soft to face my wolf. I watched everything speechlessly. My wolf continued speaking, having difficulties finding suitable words,
" Can..we..ah.. Friends...Pat..."
I assumed that she was asking him to kneel down so that she could pat on its head. The warrior dragon was one step away from losing his temper. Despite facing his angry eyes, my wolf didn't back off and stayed confident with her aura. A few seconds passed and I swore that I was counting my death inside.
But the least expected thing was yet to happen. The warrior dragon bent its head down, letting out low growls and finally moved his head to my chest. My wolf smiled and immediately started patting it on its head to comfort the oversized dragon.
Suddenly, a flash of fire broke through the sky and another big dragon landed with a thud. I pushed my wolf back, squeezing my eyes shut in the process. A deep, stunning voice came to my eardrums,
" How did you tame him?"
I snapped open my eyes to see King Gideon standing nearby. So, the dragon that came from the sky was actually him. He stood there, naked from his upper chest but his eyes held the curiosity, glancing between his dragon and me. I jumped backwards, moving away. My wolf could like this warrior dragon but there was no way that I could face the dragon alone. I shook my head, replying in a weak voice,
" I...I don't know...I really..."
Gideon interrupted, his eyes narrowing. " You are poisoned!! Come with me!"

It was still surreal to me that I survived and the dragon thought me loyal. But I didn't feel any gratitude for this kingdom. King Gideon took me as a pawn from my mate but he said that those promises meant nothing to him. That meant I was brought here as a trick. Even though the whole crowd was in awe after finding me alive, I didn't feel anything.
" Turn around!!"
I snapped out of my daze as soon as Gideon walked into the room more like barging. His eyes were like predators, always searching for prey. I didn't quite understand the meaning. So, I stayed stiff, tongue-tied and unmoving.
He growled, gnashing his teeth together,
" When your master says something, you just obey! Did you get me?"
I felt the urge to tell him that I didn't mean to be his slave. But my health condition wasn't at its best. My knees were weakening for some reason.
What did he mean by that? Was he going to take me here or what?
Feeling scared, I turned around to face him from my back, his tall figure moving closer. I kept biting my lips in nervousness. As I anticipated the moment to come, I let out a gasp to feel the edge of the knife on my back.
What was he trying to do?
He tore my clothes apart, using the knife and opened my back. I muttered weakly, feeling crumpled in fear,
" What... what are you... doing..."
Before I could tell anything, the knife pierced through my skin, right over the spot that was aching. I let out a painful cry but he didn't stop, not when I cried or made noises. He muttered into my ears hoarsely,
" You are poisoned by the herbs that touched your back. The blood needs to be out. Bear a little!"
I was flabbergasted by his words. Did he actually care whether I was dead or not?
The pain didn't stop until he pumped all the blood out and stepped backwards. He stated in a low growl, hissing before leaving,
" Don't flatter yourself! Since my dragons chose you, I am keeping you alive."
I felt him going out, leaving me in the empty chamber. Once he was gone, I finally turned my head back to stare at his path.
Why did I feel like he had his soft side as well?

" How did you survive in front of the warrior dragon?"
A maid asked with curiosity, her eyes on me suspiciously. There was another quarter for the slaves only. I had to share a room with a palace maid. Basically everyone was curious about how I didn't die in the hands of those dragons.
I asked back, a little irritated over everything,
" What's your point??"
The maid let out a sigh. She seemed nice as she explained it carefully,
" There's a rumour about warrior dragons. Well, we don't know whether it's true or not but everyone is suddenly interested in you for those rumours. Well, it was heard that the warrior dragon can be tamed by two people in the world only...the dragon king and the dragon queen..so.."
She paused hesitantly which made my eyes widen in shock. I shook my head confidently, my nostrils flaring in rage,
" That's impossible. I have a mate already. Don't be so delusional. In no way can I be the dragon queen especially when I am his slave. He hates me and will definitely have his own mate one day. Maybe the warrior dragon just found me friendly."
The maid nodded her head with understanding. She replied, lying on her bed,
" You are right! You are just a weak omega. You aren't worthy of becoming the dragon queen. Besides, you have a man already and you are no longer a virgin. I don't think that the king will ever touch you. He doesn't take impure women on his bed."
I was dumbstruck once more. If he was really like that, why did he take me as the prize when I wasn't useful to him?
