We all went back into Lutin’s room and the doctor took all of our blood. She started with my dad, Lutin, Mia, and then I was last. She told us normally this would take a couple of days, but I had them make this a priority and so they are going to have the results to me by tomorrow. They will fax me a copy and then send the originals to my home certified mail. That way I should get them quick and no one will know. The doctor explained everything to us in great detail. So we all knew what to expect.
“Thank you doctor we will be waiting for you to let us know when the results come in.” I said to her and she left the room.
“Now can you explain the DNA test to us a little bit better?” King Otis asked
“Sure, Sorry. When Mia came looking for me the other day Tamrsia knocked her down but tried to play it off like Mia tripped over something. Which Lumar and I both knew that didn’t happen, but when I bent down to help her up I could tell that she smelled like Lutin and I. So I’m guessing that she is my half sister, but I don’t know what Tia is trying to do. I have a couple of theories on this matter, but nothing at the moment that is concert.” I explained to King Otis and Queen Tatiana.
“I never could figure out the scent either until you came here with our son. But what else is she mixed with?” King Otis asked
“Well like I said I think her father is Thanatoes. Which means she is part bringer of death. That is if my hunch is right.” I informed him
“Mia did you get the three traitors schedule like I asked?” I asked Mia with a smile.
“Yes big sister, here it is. But I still don’t understand why you need it.” Mia replied
“Well when I was working for a magazine and traveling to find places for people to visit and the activities for them to do. I learned to do research on where I was going. So in this case I want to learn as much as I can about the three traitors before I make a move or King Otis makes a move. If we have enough information on them maybe they will lead us to Tia or her boss.” I explained with everyone shacking their heads in agreement. I even seen a proud smile come across King Otis face.
“I think we all need to head back and have lunch, relax for a bit before we all start to dig for information.” Queen Tatiana said to everyone
“I will meet you all there. I need to check my son out of your hospital now. He has had enough time to relax and be lazy.” Faeberon said while laughing at the reaction that his son made.
“Relaxing, you call being almost kidnapped relaxing and lazy? Come on Dad really?” Lutin replied with a little angry in his voice. The rest of us just laughed as we walked out the door.
We all were walking a long when a guard came up to Lumar and handed him a letter. He looked confused while he was looking over the letter. Then he smelled it and stopped in his tracks.
“Lumar what is it?’ I naked him
“I think this is a letter from Tia. It has a faint smell of her on it.” He replied then handed it to me to see if I smell her on it. I shook my head to let him know that I agreed with him. I held it up to the sun to see if there might be anything in it. I didn’t see anything, so I handed it back to him so he could open it up. He opened it up and he read it out loud.
“Lumar I will give you one more chance to reject my daughter and be with me before I tell the father of Mia that you kidnapped her. He will bring war down on you so fast and I will become his Queen instead. You have two days to think it over, once you have come to the small town outside your territory at the bar called Down It Goes. No later than eight pm. Have a nice night and tell my daughter her time is very limited. Tia” Lumar said so everyone could hear. I laughing and everyone just looked at me funny.
“She never said which daughter you were to reject. She doesn’t know that we know about Mia being hers. I am now sure of it by how quick she said she knew who Mia’s dad was and that he will bring a war. She thinks she still three steps ahead of us. Her Betrayal will be her undoing.” I told them
We all started walking again, by the time we reached the door Dad and Lutin was almost to us. So we all waited for them to catch up. While we all headed to the dinning room I was doing some thinking. I was really wondering how far her betrayal went. Could she have even more kids out there that we don’t know about. How long had she been planning this? When did it all really start? Mia brought me out of my thoughts because she stopped at the table and didn’t sit down with the rest of us. I looked at King Otis and waited to see if he was going to let her sit with us, because we had left her a seat next to me and Lutin. We both wanted to get to know her.
“Mia sit and eat with all of us, it does seem that you are family and should eat with family.” King Otis told her she smiled and sat down between Lutin and me.
That is when the three traitors came out ready to serve our table. They stopped in their tracks when they seen Mia seated next to me. My brother thought it would be funny to mess with them, He gave Mia and me a wink to play along. The others new something was up.
“Mia my dear I am so glad you didn’t reject me. I would have died of my heart being broken. So thank you my love.” Lutin said loud enough for all three of them to hear, Then reached for her hand and kissed it. Then we heard it a scream so loud.
“NO, this can’t be true. Get your hands off of her.” Onyx scream then dropped the food she was carrying and ran out as fast as she could. The other two just stood there didn’t know what to do or say at that moment.
“Don’t just stand there an gapping like a fish out of water. Serve our food and then clean that mess up.” King Otis orders the two traitors and they hurried to do as they were told.
