Chapter 90- Another Day, Another Argument
Adrian returned home after a long day at work and found Aria watching a movie with Chase in the home theatre. They were both sitting next to each other and seemed to be enjoying each other’s company.

“You came at a good time, the movies just started” Chase said to Adrian before he ate some popcorn. Over the last few weeks, he had become more and more closer to him and Aria, and just needed to find the right time to get his revenge.

Adrian unbuttoned a few buttons of his shirt and looked over at Aria, thinking she looked effortlessly good, and he was glad to see her after a long day at work.

“Aren’t you getting a bit too comfortable” he said to Chase, although he didn’t mind him being there.

Chase drank some of his cold drink and looked up at him,

“It wasn’t my idea to watch the movie it was your woman’s” he said about Aria. Aria smiled and looked up at Adrian,

“He’s right” she said before she got up from her seat and met him with a tight hug.

Adrian hugged her back and kissed her on the top of her head softly,

“I’ve missed you” he said in her ear quietly, before he kissed her there softly, thinking she smelt amazing.

Aria resisted sighing and looked up at him,

“I could say the same about you” she said before she reached up and kissed him on the lips softly, earning herself a look from Chase.

He ate some more of his sweet popcorn and looked over at them both,

“You know if you guys don’t want to watch you can leave” he said bluntly.

Adrian turned slightly and looked at him,

“Or even better how about you leave instead” he said before he looked down at Aria, thinking he wouldn’t mind fucking her right there in their huge home cinema room, rather than carrying her all the way upstairs.

Chase got up from his seat unwillingly and looked at Aria,

“Don’t watch it without me” he said before he picked up his bucket of popcorn and walked out of the room, knowing very well what they both were about to do as they stared into each other’s eyes with nothing but pure love and lust.

Adrian waited for him to leave before he locked the door after him with a touch of button and looked down at Aria,

“I guess it’s time to make our own movie, you look too fucking beautiful” he said before he slipped a hand under her top and pulled her closer to him by the back of her waist.

Aria felt her heart skip a beat and an unsettling feeling settle in her stomach as she remembered Hunter’s words from earlier when he told her that he would tell Adrian everything.

“I can’t do this” she said softly as she held onto the front of his shirt, hoping he didn’t push her further as she didn’t know how she felt about being intimate with him again, after what Hunter had done to her.

Adrian kissed her on the side of her neck softly and slowly made his way down to her collarbones,

“You know you want to” he said the moment she sighed softly and tilted her head back slightly.

Aria quickly got herself together and looked up at him,

“I’m not feeling too good” she said before she pulled away from him and fixed her top, thinking it was the first time she had ever said no to sex.

Adrian looked at her a with a serious look on his face, wondering if something was on her mind.

“Is this about your visit to the hotel earlier?” he asked quietly, thinking she looked lost in thought, almost like she was fighting with her inner self.

Aria slipped a few strands of her hair behind her ear and looked up at him, not expecting him to know.

“Who told you that I was there?” she asked although she knew the answer to her own question.

Adrian moved closer to her and looked down at her with a serious look on his face,

“Hunter told me, it’s not safe for you to be wandering around the city alone, have you already forgotten what happened to mom, Rosalina and now Jared?” he asked with a small frown on his face, thinking she needed to stop being careless.

Aria shook her head lightly and looked up at him,

“Why was he following me? When I told you to keep him away from me” she said with her voice barely above a whisper, thinking how dare Hunter stalk her and then report everything back to Adrian.

Adrian took hold of her elbow and looked down at her,

“I sent him there myself, whether you like it or not he will be your bodyguard until Jared recovers” he said. Aria listened,

“And how did you know I was there?” she asked with a frown.

She couldn’t believe that Adrian was still trusting Hunter after everything that had happened.

“I have my ways, you and I both know you didn’t go to the hotel to retrieve a sentimental gift” Adrian said quietly as he looked down at her pretty face, thinking she was definitely hiding something, but he didn’t know what exactly.

Aria felt her heart skip a beat as she looked up into his serious eyes deeply,

“Your right I didn’t” she said before she turned to leave, although she had a feeling Adrian wouldn’t let go of her arm.

Adrian pulled her back gently and looked down at her,

“What are you hiding from me?” he asked, thinking after a long day at work the last thing he wanted was them to have an argument.

Aria felt her heart hammer against her chest as she looked up at him,

“I can’t tell you, because you will never believe me” she said with tears in her eyes, thinking he trusted Hunter too much.

Adrian wrapped both of his arms around her and rested his chin on the top of her head,

“You will never know until you tell me” he said, just as his phone rang.

Aria rested her face against his nice warm chest and closed her eyes, thinking even though she had video proof of Hunter admitting to what he did, it wasn’t enough.

She needed to gather enough evidence first before she could tell him everything. Adrian took out his phone and held it against his ear lazily,

“Sir it’s me Hunter, wanted to ask if you’re still coming to the party tonight” Hunter asked as he wanted to put his next plan into motion.

Adrian looked down at Aria and then up at the ceiling, thinking he wasn’t sure if she would come with him as he knew how much she disliked last minute plans.

“I’ll let you know soon” he said before he quickly ended the call.

Aria picked up her head from his warm chest and looked up at him,

“Are you going somewhere?” she asked as he gently stroked the side of her waist.

Adrian looked down at her,

“Only if you come with me” he said before he leaned down and kissed her on the lips softly, thinking he hated arguing with her but sometimes she left him with no choice but to get annoyed.

Aria kissed him back and smiled softly,

“I’ve already made plans with Jenna, but I might join you later on in the evening” she said. Adrian listened to her quietly,

“That’s fine, I’ll send you the location” he said before he hugged her tightly again, liking how perfectly she fitted in his arms.

It was much later on in the evening and Adrian had just arrived at the private bar like club where the small work-related party was taking place.

He had signed a new business deal and what better way to celebrate then with a few of his work colleagues. The only person missing was his lady love, who he couldn’t wait to see again soon.

Adrian was wearing a simple black suit which he wore with a crisp white shirt and smart boots. He had left a quiet a few buttons of his shirt undone, showing of hint of his sexy chiselled chest.

He finished off his smart yet casual look with a sleek black watch, a few silver rings and a spritz of his trademark perfume, that alone was enough to make any woman fall at his knees.

Victoria walked over to him the moment she saw him walk into the venue,

“Congratulations on tonight, you’ve worked very hard to get here and I couldn’t be more happy for you” she said with a smile, before she met him with a nice quick friendly hug.

Adrian hugged her back with one arm and looked down at her the moment she moved back,

“Thank you” he said before he helped himself to a drink from one of the waiters who were was passing by.

Victoria was wearing a stunning teal coloured short dress that was feathery from the bottom and beaded from the top.

“Where’s Aria?” she asked Adrian after she realised that she wasn’t there.

Adrian took a small sip of his drink and looked down at her,

“She’ll be coming soon, how’s work been?” he asked as they both walked over to the seating area.

Victoria looked at him,

“I don’t want to talk about work not here and let me guess you probably didn’t tell Aria the poor girl about the party beforehand” she said once they had both sat down next to each other, thinking it was such a typical thing of him to do.

Adrian leaned back against his seat and looked at her,

“You got that right, I don’t understand why women need time to get ready” he said before he shook his hand with a few of his work friends, thinking it felt weird not having Aria by his side as usually they always attended events together.

Victoria helped herself to some light refreshments that were on the table in front of her and looked up at Adrian,

“How’s uncle doing?” she asked about Cengiz. Adrian lit up a cigarette and looked at her, not missing the few guys who were checking her out shamelessly.

He swapped seats with her, so she was out of their view before he looked over at her with a serious look on his face,

“He’s good, and your parents?” he asked before he took a long puff of his cigarette.

Victoria didn’t miss his sweet act, thinking Aria was definitely very lucky to have him as her man. He was definitely a gentleman, no matter how tough and serious he looked.

“They are both well, you know I’ve been meaning to come down to yours but just been so busy” she said with a smile.

Adrian blew out some smoke and listened to her quietly,

“It’s good you didn’t, you would have just wasted my precious time” he said.

Victoria gave him a look with her pretty blue eyes,

“It’s not like I was coming for you, I wanted to see Aria and Lyla, she’s such a cutie” she said.

Adrian looked at her,

“That she is, what can I say, both of my girls are amazing” he said before he took another long puff of his cigarette, thinking they were definitely the highlights of his life.

Hunter watched him quietly from a little distance away as he talked to Victoria, thinking he could talk about Aria all he liked but soon he will make him do something so degrading that even she won’t be able to look at him the same again.
