Chapter 89- First Piece Of Evidence

Chapter 89- First Piece Of Evidence
It was a few days later and Aria hadn’t been able to sleep or eat properly since she had found out Adrian had asked Hunter to watch over her on the night that Jared had been shot.

Adrian had been too busy with work to realise that something was wrong, although he did notice that she was more quieter than usual.

Aria waited for Adrian to head out for the day before she told her personal driver to drive her to the hotel where they had both spent the evening.

She put on her dark sunglasses and looked out of the car window, thinking she needed to collect any sort of evidence she could find as that was the only way Adrian would believe her, that Hunter wasn’t as innocent as he portrayed himself to be.

The drive to the hotel took almost an hour as it was a little out of the city. The driver parked his car right outside and waited for Aria to step out before he closed the door after her and watched her walk up to the huge entrance.

Aria was glad there was no paparazzi lurking around as she definitely didn’t want to be photographed. She walked into the luxurious hotel and didn’t miss the few men in suits who turned their heads and looked her up and down hungrily.

She looked past them and walked straight to the main desk, thinking she had a feeling that the hotel staff wouldn’t give out any personal information to her, but it was worth a try.

A middle-aged woman who was standing behind the desk looked at her and smiled,

“Good afternoon, how may I help you today?” she asked politely with a cheerful friendly smile on her face.

Aria smiled and looked at her,

“Hi, basically I stayed at this hotel almost two weeks ago and when I returned home, I realised that a few things from my bag were missing. Is there any way I could see if someone had broken into my room, whilst I was here?” she asked.

The woman behind the desk smiled and looked at her,

“I’m sorry ma’am but we can’t do that” she said politely.

Aria looked away for a moment and then at her directly,

“I lost something that was very valuable to me that night, something my grandmother had given to me before she passed away, is there really no way you could check the security cameras for me? Please, it would mean a lot” she pleaded.

She felt awfully guilty for lying, but she really needed to know if it was Hunter who had broke into the hotel suite that night and taken advantage of her, because if wasn’t him then who was it?

The woman behind the desk looked at Aria and sighed,

“I will see what I can do but no promises” she said before she made a quick phone call to the security team and told them everything.

Aria smiled at her thankfully and waited for her to finish talking patiently,

“We will need proof of your stay before we can show you the camera footage of the night of the incident” the woman behind the desk said once she got of the phone and made some quick notes on her computer.

Aria listened to her quietly, thinking she had no proof with her, as it was Adrian who had made the booking. She decided to ring him and ask him if he could forward her the email, hoping he didn’t ask too many questions.

Adrian was about to leave for an important work meeting when he heard his phone ring. He picked it up from his desk and held it against his ear, the moment he realised it was Aria.

“Morning, everything ok?” he asked quietly, as it wasn’t like her to ring often.

Aria ruffled her hair and listened to him quietly, thinking his sexy deep voice sounded even more tempting on the phone.

“Yes, I just had a small request, if possible, could you send me the booking detail for the hotel we stayed in two weeks ago, I left something important there and wanted to contact them and see if they could it return it to me” she said.

Adrian listened quietly, thinking that was a pretty strange request.

“What did you leave behind?” he asked with a hand on his chin, thinking she hadn’t mentioned anything to him before.

Aria quickly said the first thing that came to her mind,

“Something precious that my grandmother gave to me before she passed away” she said quietly, as she knew the woman behind the counter also had her ears on their little conversation.

Adrian didn’t believe her but forwarded the hotel booking over to her anyways, thinking he’ll question her about it again later as he was pretty sure she was not telling him the full truth.

Aria thanked him quickly before she ended the call and showed the booking email that he had forward to her to the woman behind the counter, hoping she didn’t ask for any more proof.

The woman quickly typed in the details into her computer before she looked up at her and gasped,

“You’re the fiancé of Adrian Delgado” she said excitedly.

Aria moved closer to the desk and looked down at her,

“Yes, that’s me” she said with a small smile, thinking she looked star struck even though she didn’t even consider herself to be a celebrity.

The woman spent the next few minutes telling her how Adrian was her biggest crush and how it would totally make her day if he signed an autograph for her.

Aria told her she would get it done, before she took the small card, she was holding out to her and quickly made her way up to the security department of the hotel, thinking she had no time to waste.

The security staff let her through and asked her a few more questions before they showed her the security footage of the night Jared had got shot.

“I’m afraid we cannot show you any footage from inside the hotel suite as the cameras were turned off upon entering” one of the men there said, quickly getting Aria’s attention.

She felt her heart skip a beat as she listened quietly, wondering why Adrian had turned them off.

“Could you show me any footage from the outside please, I need to know who left the suite and who walked in” she said.

The man who was the head of the security team gave her a small nod and looked at her,

“I’ll see what I can do” he said before he quickly got to work. Aria watched him quietly as he switched through a few different angles and found the one from that night.

He showed her the first video which showed Adrian leaving the room at around three in the morning and another of Hunter arriving forty minutes later.

Aria watched the video closely as Hunter stood outside the room for a good few minutes before he tapped a few buttons and made his way inside discreetly.

She felt sick to the stomach as she watched it a few times and asked the security staff to send her a copy of the video to her email, as she wanted to show it to Adrian when the time was right.

The security staff made her sign a few consent forms and made it clear to her that she wasn’t allowed to share the video with anyone else before they sent her the copy as they didn’t want the reputation of their luxurious hotel ruined in any way.

Aria assured him that she wont send it to anyone and thanked him for all his help before she left the department, feeling all kind of different emotions.

She couldn’t believe that Hunter had abused her whilst she was asleep and just hoped she could gather enough evidence to ruin him and bring his disgusting act to light.

Hunter who was waiting for her outside the hotel, quickly took hold of her wrist the moment she stepped out.

“What are you doing here?” he asked as he looked down at her, with their faces just inches apart from each other’s.

Aria felt her pretty eyes widen as she looked up at him, not expecting him to be there.

“You don’t need to know, now let go off me” she said icily. Hunter looked down at her with a serious look on his face,

“Either you tell me yourself or I’ll tell Adrian where you were” he said before he tightened the grip he had on her wrist.

Aria was surprised to hear him call Adrian by his name and not as formally as he normally,

“You can tell him what you like, but you won’t be finding out anything from me, now let go of me before I cause a scene” she said as she looked up into his dark eyes deeply, thinking she wanted to slap him as hard as she could but couldn’t, not just yet.

Hunter let go off her unwillingly and looked down at her,

“You and I both know what happened that night, and even if you don’t remember I have pictures to prove it, it’s only a matter of time before I will forward them all to your man, so either you listen and do as I say or were going to have problems princess” he said and for a moment Aria thought she was talking to Rylan, as he sounded just like him.

She took a step back from him and looked up at him,

“Nothing happened that night and I know Adrian enough to know that he wouldn’t believe you” she said confidently.

Hunter snickered and looked down at her,

“You fucked your bodyguard, and you liked it, I can still hear the sound of your moans in my ears” he said before he pulled out his phone and showed her a picture of her lying almost half naked on the bed.

Aria felt disgusted with herself and just prayed what he was saying was not true,

“Your time will come Hunter and I can’t wait for that day. You can fool Adrian, but you can never fool me” she said before she walked away from him and slipped her phone into her bag, thinking the idiot had no idea that she had just recorded their whole conversation and she couldn’t wait to show Adrian when the time was right.
