A week had passed, and a lot had happened. Jared had woken up from the medical induced coma he was put in but was still in hospital, where he seemed to be recovering nicely. Adrian wasted no time in finding out who had shot him and instantly knew it was an inside job, done by someone who worked for him, someone who he would have never suspected.

He killed him on the spot with no questions asked as he done was giving people second chances, not knowing that his worst enemy was still lurking in the shadows, following his every move.

Aria had tried her utmost best to be there for Brianna and help her in any way she could. Aurora had also stayed with her and Adrian for a few nights and had thoroughly enjoyed playing with Lyla.

It was just after ten in the morning and Aria had just gotten both girls ready for the day.

“Auntie I go mama” Aurora said with a small sad smile on her face.

Aria ran a comb through her hair and looked down at her,

“We will go to your mama soon, are you excited to see her and papa?” she asked her softly.

Aurora moved her little face up and down,

“You’re such a good girl” Aria said before she added a small clip into her hair and looked over at Lyla who was busy emptying the toy basket.

Adrian watched her quietly from the door as she attended to both of the girls, thinking she looked effortlessly pretty, and he liked what she was wearing.

“You all ready?” he asked quietly with a hand on his chin.

Aria looked up at him and felt her heart skip a beat the moment both of their eyes met.

“Almost” she said with a small smile before she watched both Aurora and Lyla rush over to him happily.

Adrian picked them both up from the floor and looked at them as they touched his face tenderly,

“Uncle I miss mama and papa” Aurora said with a small, cute pout on her face.

Adrian listened to her quietly, feeling awfully guilty from the inside.

“You’ll see them both soon, I promise” he said quietly before he kissed her on the top of her head softly.

Jared was like a brother to him, someone who had always been there for him from the very beginning, and there was nothing he wouldn’t do to protect him and his little family.

Aria watched him tickle both Lyla and Aurora playfully, thinking who would have thought that he would end up being such a good father and uncle.

“What time is Jared getting discharged today?” she asked with a small smile.

Adrian forced his attention away from the little girls and looked down at her,

“They’ve discharged him already, shall we go pick them up now?” he asked before he glanced at his watch. Aria listened,

“Yes, that’s fine” she said before she took Lyla from him and followed him down the stairs.

It wasn’t long before they strapped both of the girls into the back of the car in their car seats and set out for the hospital.

“I know now isn’t the best time to ask this, but you know that night at the hotel, did we have sex again after we showered?” Aria asked Adrian, as it was something that been on her mind and she needed to know.

She still hadn’t forgotten what had happened and how she had woken up with her top undone and dried semen splattered all over her lower stomach.

“Why do you ask?” Adrian asked as he leaned back against his seat and drove towards the private hospital, where Jared and Brianna were waiting.

Aria slipped a few strands of her long hair behind her ear and looked up at him,

“Because I’m pretty sure you were on top of me, but I was too tired to move or say anything” she said quietly.

Adrian looked down at her with a small mocking smirk on the corner of his lips,

“You must have been dreaming beautiful, I mean didn’t I fuck you enough already that night” he said with one hand resting on her leg.

Aria felt her heart skip a beat and an unsettling feeling fill her stomach,

“Yeah, your right, it was probably just a dream” she said before she turned her head and looked out of her window at all of the passing by cars, thinking if it wasn’t Adrian who had done that to her then who was it?

She suddenly felt very disgusted and dirty, although it had been a week since that incident and that she had taken plenty of showers since.

“I’m surprised you still had the energy to dream about me, after that long night” Adrian said with a small smirk as he gently stroked her leg.

Aria listened to him quietly,

“What can I say, you always leave me wanting more” she said with a small smile, thinking she couldn’t tell him what had happened, as she didn’t know how he would react and there was a good chance he might not see her the same again.

She shivered slightly as she imagined someone else taking advantage of her and then finishing off on her lower stomach.

“There’s no way I could have slept through that, I mean it just doesn’t make sense” she thought to herself quietly, thinking she needed to find out who broke into their hotel room, and she needed to do it quickly.

It was a few hours later and Aria and Adrian were both at Jared and Brianna’s house. Brianna had ordered some pizza and had forced them both to stay.

It was her way of saying thank you for everything they had done for her and Jared this past week. She had also apologised to Aria for lashing out at her that day at the hospital.

Aria told her there was no need to apologise as she would have probably reacted the same way if the same had happened to Adrian.

“Man, it feels good to home, although I must admit I did enjoy all the attention I received from all of the nurses at the hospital” Jared said to Adrian loudly, quickly getting Brianna’s attention.

Adrian leaned back against his seat and looked at him,

“Is that so?” he asked with a small smirk, thinking the one thing they both had in common was that they both loved teasing their women.

Brianna fed some banana to both Aurora and Lyla and looked over at Jared,

“We should have just left you there” she said although she was very happy to have him home. Aria looked up at Jared,

“She’s right and I’m pretty sure some of those nurses were old enough to be your mum” she said before she picked up some toys from the floor.

Adrian smirked and looked at Jared,

“She’s not wrong” he said before he drank some of his water. Jared looked at him and snickered,

“You’re one to talk, when your old enough to be her dad” he said about Aria, making both of the girls laugh.

Aria felt a dull pleasurable ache between both of her legs, as she looked over at Adrian, thinking despite their huge age difference they both got on well, had amazing sex, and loved each other deeply, and that was all that mattered.

“I’m sure we can both agree that being with a much younger woman is far more pleasurable than an older one” Adrian said to Jared quietly before he drank some more of his water, making both Aria and Brianna blush at his blunt reply.

Jared coughed dramatically and looked at him,

“Yeah, for sure man, the younger the better” he said before he winked at Brianna. Adrian looked across the room at Aria, wondering why she wasn’t looking up and making eye contact with him, something she always did.

It was almost like he was she was avoiding his sharp eyes deliberately, in the fear that he might take her right there in front of everyone.

“Fuck” Aurora said loudly and very cutely the moment Lyla bit her little finger, quickly getting everyone’s attention and very discreetly saving Aria from Adrian’s intimidating gaze.

Aria felt her pretty eyes widen, whilst Jared and Brianna looked between themselves confused.

“Did she just say what I think she did” Jared said to Adrian, who was suddenly very interested in his bottle of cold water.

Brianna fed Lyla some banana and looked at Adrian interestedly,

“She learnt it from you, didn’t she?” she asked with a small smile as she knew Aria didn’t swear often.

Adrian looked at Aurora and then at Brianna,

“I don’t recall using that word in front of her, are you sure it wasn’t you or Jared” he said, although he was certain she had learnt it from him as he had said it in the car when he was talking to Aria.

Jared massaged his arm and looked at him,

“Nah we don’t use words like that in front of her, it was definitely you man but don’t worry we wont hold nothing against you” he said just as the door went.

Adrian quickly got up from the sofa and walked out of the room before Brianna could. He paid the delivery guy and gave him a nice generous tip, before he closed the door after him and carried the pizza boxes and food bags back to the lounge.

Aria and Brianna quickly set up the table before they both sat down next to their men. Brianna looked over at Adrian,

“I’m not happy with what you did, if I wanted you to pay, I would have made you order it” she said with a small frown.

Adrian leaned back against the sofa and looked at her with a serious look on his face,

“That might have been a good idea” he said with a hand on his chin, thinking women definitely stressed over the littlest of things at times.

Jared kissed both Lyla and Aurora on their little cheeks softly and looked at Adrian,

“Brianna’s right man” he said before he passed some fries to both of the little girls, who were waiting eagerly. Aria smiled and Adrian,

“Shall I put a bit of everything in for you?” she asked as she held his plate ready in her hand.

Adrian looked over at her and glanced at her sexy looking chest, thinking she looked beautiful.

“Yeah, but not too much” he said before he looked at Lyla and Aurora.

Jared took a quick bite of his pizza slice and looked at Adrian with a serious look,

“I know our women won’t be happy with us talking about this, but just a quick question, how did you find out that I had got shot? As I’m pretty sure you were a little out of the city that night” he said.

Adrian picked up his glass of water from the table and looked at him,

“Hunter rang” he said quietly before he picked up a slice of pizza from his plate and took a bite of it, thinking it was too soon to assume, but Hunter always seemed to be there, whenever something bad happened.

Aria felt her heart skip a beat as she listened to Adrian quietly,

“Did you tell him to watch over me whilst you were gone?” she asked as a thought came to her and she felt sick to the stomach.

She wondered if it was Hunter who had broken into her room and taken advantage of her whilst she was sleep, as he was the only person who was there, waiting for her the following morning.

“I did indeed” Adrian said quietly and that was all he had to say before Aria quickly rushed out of the room and walked to the nearest bathroom she could find, losing the little appetite she had.
