Chapter 84- Sunset and Dinner

Chapter 84- Sunset and Dinner
Adrian held out his hand to Aria and helped her up the few steps that lead onto their awaiting helicopter, thinking she looked nothing short of beautiful and he liked what she was wearing.

She was wearing a gorgeous grey coloured dress that had fur on the sleeves and a very low back that showed of a generous amount of her skin teasingly.

The dress hugged her body nicely and had a small slit at the back from the bottom, that showed of the back of her long legs.

Aria wore nice pretty makeup and had styled all of her long hair up in a sleek bun, leaving only a few strands out to frame her pretty face. She wore big beautiful dangly earrings in her ears, a few rings, and clear strapped heels.

“Thank you” she said to Adrian quietly as she held onto his hand tightly and helped herself up onto the helicopter thinking she couldn’t wait to see the sunset from up above.

The helicopter was going to take them both for a short ride around the city and then to the luxurious hotel where they were going to have dinner and spend the night.

“You look beautiful tonight, even more than usual” Adrian said to her quietly with a serious look as he sat down next to her and rested one of his hands on both of her crossed legs.

Aria felt her heart skip a beat as she looked up into his dark eyes deeply, thinking even he looked very sexy and smelt utterly amazing.

“I could say the same about you” she said with a small smile before she reached up and kissed him on the lips softly, thinking she was looking forward to tonight as it was their first time going out on a date since Angela’s sudden death.

Adrian gently stroked her thigh and listened to her quietly,

“Today is your day beautiful and I’m willing to do anything you want, all you have to do is say the word and I’ll do just that, nothing less and nothing more” he said in her ear quietly, with his comment clearly having a bad double meaning.

Aria felt her stomach flutter and a dull pleasurable ache between her legs as she looked up at his handsome face, thinking he knew exactly how to make her feel weak to the knees.

“By anything do you really mean anything?” she asked quietly with a small teasing smile on her lips as a bad idea crossed her mind.

Adrian kissed her on the side of her face softly and looked down at her with a serious look on his face,

“You heard me, there’s no limits tonight, let me into your dirty mind and I’ll play with you in ways you’ve never been with played before” he said in her ear quietly before he kissed her there softly and teasingly.

Aria felt her heartbeat rapidly as she listened to him quietly, thinking his words and sexy deep voice were alone enough to turn on, never mind anything else.

“I can’t wait” she said before she forced her eyes away from him and looked out the helicopter, thinking if she had looked at him for any longer, he would have definitely undressed her with his intimidating eyes and annoying prominent brows.

It wasn’t long before the helicopter finally took off, just in time for sunset. Adrian leaned back against his seat lazily and watched Aria as she enjoyed the view and took some pictures on her phone.

It was that very moment that reminded him of that time back in Istanbul when they had newly met, and she couldn’t stop taking pictures of everything and anything in her sight.

For a moment it felt like time had suddenly stopped and nothing had changed.

“Who would have thought that we would be here, side by side, madly, deeply in love all these years later” he thought to himself with a hand on his chin, thinking he still remembered that day like it was just yesterday.

Aria looked out at the beautiful sunset, thinking life was beautiful and she was glad she could experience it all with the love of her life.

Adrian took a few quick pictures of her on his phone as she admired the sunset, thinking she looked stunning with the late evening sun glowing on her face nicely.

“As busy as New-York is, it’s home and it’s beautiful” Aria thought to herself as she looked down at all of the tall buildings, thinking they looked almost fake from up above.

She placed her hand on top of the one Adrian had resting on her leg and wrapped her fingers around his, thinking moments like this were definitely her favourite. The ones where their silence spoke more than words ever could,

“You see that building down there, that’s the empire state building” Adrian pointed out to her, just at the pilot of the helicopter took a turn and showed them some more great views.

Aria followed Adrian’s eyes and looked out at the empire state building that was nicely lit up,

“It looks amazing” she said with a small smile, thinking five years ago she would have never expected herself to call New-York home, but than again home was wherever Adrian was, whether that was here on in a different city.

Adrian explained to her a little about all of the famous landmarks of the city and watched her eyes light up in amazement.

“Now I understand why they call this city the city that never sleeps” Aria said quietly as she looked down at the stunning skyline, thinking she could never get enough of this view.

They both watched the sun come down before the pilot started its descent to one of New-Yorks most finest and extravagant hotel that had its own helipad.

It was around half an hour later when both Aria and Aria stepped out of the helicopter hand in hand and were greeted by the manager of the hotel himself who was patiently waiting for their arrival.

“Good evening, sir, madam, how are you both?” he asked politely.

Adrian shook his hand with him and gave him a small polite nod,

“We are both well” he said before he also shook his hand with the pilot of the helicopter. Aria smiled and looked at him,

“We really enjoyed the ride, thank you” she said.

The polite bowed his head slightly in respect and looked at them both,

“It was my pleasure” he said with a hand to his chest, thinking despite their high rank they were decent humble people.

The manager of the hotel waited for them all to finish talking before he lead both Aria and Adrian to the glass elevator that took them straight to the lavish rooftop restaurant, where they would be dining.

The restaurant was one of the few that had an incredible view of the city and was known for its delicious food and live music. Aria held onto Adrian’s hand tightly and followed the waiters to their private reserved table, thinking this was probably the most fanciest place they had ever dined at, and they had dined at many.

The waiter showed them to their table and pulled out their chairs for them before he took his leave politely.

“This place is amazing” Aria said to Adrian quietly once she sat down and crossed one of her leg over the other one, thinking Adrian definitely had a good taste, when it came to food and choosing restaurants.

Adrian leaned back against his seat and looked at her,

“You deserve the best of everything beautiful, now choose what you want to eat and then we’ll talk” he said before he tapped the iPad that was moulded into the corner of the table.

He opened up the menu app on it and turned the iPad towards her so she could go through it at her own pace.

“I don’t think I’ll be able to choose quickly, because there’s just so many options” Aria said with a small smile as she scrolled through it, thinking she loved this way of ordering, as it meant they could take their time without having to rush.

Adrian opened the fine bottle of wine that was sitting on the table and poured it into two long glasses before he passed one glass to Aria,

“Take your time” he said before he lit up a cigarette. Aria quickly chose what she wanted, before she turned the iPad towards Adrian and took a small sip of her wine, thinking it tasted nice and refreshing.

It was around twenty minutes later when their food arrived. The waiters nicely set up their table and filled up their glasses with some more wine before they left and waited outside.

Nice soft music was playing in the background and the lighting inside the private dining room was perfectly cosy, neither too dull nor to bright.

“I didn’t expect anything less from you” Aria said to Adrian with a small smile, after she realised that he had ordered extra food, something he always did no matter where they went.

Adrian put some food into his plate and looked at her with a serious look,

“I want you to try everything” he said before he picked up his fork and knife from the table and broke some of his grilled chicken.

Aria made her plate and looked up at him with a small smile,

“You know you have a pretty good taste in food, even though you eat healthy most of the time” she said.

Adrian looked at her,

“Food isn’t the only thing I have a good taste in, I mean I chose you didn’t I” he said quietly, making her heart skip a beat.

He leaned over the table slightly and slipped a few strands of her hair that were in front of her eyes behind her ear, thinking she looked stunning.

“I still remember the first day we met, when you made the whole world wait, before you made your lovely appearance” Aria said with a small smile, before she took a small bite of the crispy fried chicken burger that she had ordered.

Adrian picked up his glass of water from the table and listened to her quietly,

“What can I say, I’m a busy man and don’t pretend like you didn’t like my late appearance” he said with a small smirk.

Aria ate some of her thin cut fries and looked up at him,

“Well, you did catch my attention from the very first moment you stepped onto the plane” she said with a smile, thinking she still remembered how good and tall he looked, when he first walked up into the private jet.

She picked up her glass of coke from the table and looked at Adrian,

“May I ask why you were late for the flight that day?” she asked before she took a small sip of her iced cold drink. Adrian ate some more of his food and looked at her,

“Do you really want to know?” he asked, as he didn’t want her to get scared.

Aria took another small bite of her yummy burger and looked over at him,

“I do” she said with a small smile. Adrian leaned back against his seat and looked at her with a serious look on his face,

“I had killed someone and needed to clean up the mess, which took longer than I thought it would” he said quietly, not giving away too many details, but enough to make her ponder.

He noticed the sudden look of fear that crossed her pretty eyes, almost like she wasn’t expecting him to say that so openly.

“Maybe I shouldn’t have asked” she said quietly before she ate some more of her fries, thinking even though they had been together for a while, she still couldn’t bring herself to believe that he had a dark side to him, although he had told her many times that he wasn’t perfect.
