Chapter 73 Trust Me On That
Chapter 73 Trust Me On That
\[MANAGER JANE'S HOUSE\]
Jane paced around, her face looking deeply unsettled as she kept trying to call two particular numbers repeatedly.
Roman and Natasha.
She didn't know why, but she felt something has gone wrong otherwise what's stopping them from contacting her. Since last night—hours, she has been waiting for the Goodnews.
Roman and Lalissa has successfully left the country.
But, nothing. Their phones can't be reached, and if fear was a person right now, it'd be her.
"Come on." She bit her nails, trying the other number they gave her.
She's spent hours filling her thoughts with Cassian and cumming hard expecting this morning to be a victory call. Without the call, she wouldn't be able to do her next move—get Natasha out of the way, and make Cassian hers.
"Argh!" She threw the phone on the bed, and sat down.
Putting on her heels, she could hear her heartbeat.
She's preparing for the office, and if her fears are true. If Cassian has gotten Roman and Natasha then she's obviously the next.
"But Natasha seems like a smart lady." She stood, picked up her phone when she heard a strange noise downstairs.
Staying still on the spot, she thought she heard wrong, but the noise came again. Louder than the first. Scarier than the first.
"Who could it be?" Her brow thinned in confusion. For all she knew, no one has access to enter her house, not even her relatives.
Goosebumps rose to her skin as she reached for the door.
Placing her ear to it, she listened.
Silence.
Then, crash.
She jerked, finger trembling as they curled around the knob.
Closing the door behind her, the darkness swallowed her.
The phone fiddled in her hand as she took few steps while trying to turn on the flashlights.
Her heels clicked the stairs. "Who's there!?"
Silence.
The lights came on. She stopped at the fourth staircase squinting her eyes since the flashlight could barely go beyond the stairs.
"Show yourself!"
She inhaled as if drawing strength from the air from continuing her steps.
Getting to the last stairs, the presence of people in the room felt heavy. She began seeing some blurred faces.
The face got clearer. The face looked familiar, but still hidden in the dark room. Her blood ran cold. One name crossed her mind. Her ankle twisted in her heels.
"Ah!" She fell to her knees, hands on the floor, and her head almost touching the ground.
The phone slipped from her hand, and as if pre-planned the entire lights came on.
Her nose caught the scent of the shoe. Smelt like money. Then her eyes followed next, seeing the brand of the shoe. It's not something a normal person can afford.
With the same thudding heart, she lifted her eyes.
Before she could reach his face, he spoke, his words cutting through her though, cold, and slicing the little confidence she was holding onto.
"Already at my mercy even before receiving anything."
All shackles broke, as her eyes finally met his soulless eyes.
"Too bad. Not even pleading for my mercy will save," he continued, his words echoing in the entire sitting room.
Her hands wobbled, and slipped before she could even make a move.
She laid flat on the ground, face up.
"What a show." Ziggy clicked photos, laughing. The laugh didn't reach his cheeks. "Bitch doesn't want to suffer."
Jane tried to stand, but landed on her butt. "S...sir," she stammered.
Cassian opened his palm.
Ziggy understood the message. He passed a gun to him.
"Holy mother Mary," Jane gasped, eyes bulging at the real gun that was in Cassian's hand.
"Fuck, you know Mary existed." Ziggy looked at her doing a little comparison in his head. "It's always the less attractive bitches."
"S... sir... I know nothing I sw...ear—"
Cassian fired a bullet straight to her right wrist.
"...ah!!!" She shrieked, water pouring out her eyes in the name of tears.
Her wrist had broken. She couldn't feel her wrist. Only hellish pains.
"You aren't allowed to speak. The only thing I want from you are answers." His thumb played on the trigger ready to fire again. "Each lie, your body takes a bullet."
Jane nodded sharply, her tears and pains not allowing her to speak.
"I want Roman, and Natasha's location?"
"I... I don't know—"
"Wrong answer." He fired again—on her knees.
She cried out, clutching her knees with her right hand.
Water ran out of her nose, her body looking like a total disaster. Her dress got stained with blood, tears and running nose.
"Where is Roman and Natasha?" he asked, demandingly.
"I swear! On my life! My generations! My...ah!!!" She cried out painfully.
The third bullet came again, this time on her right shoulder.
She saw hell circling around her. She tasted her tears, mixed with running nose and saliva for the first time. Her scream filled the place shaking the building. She couldn't feel her nerves again.
"I'm sure you were wondering why I didn't give you the employee of the year award," his voice sounded like a demon. Even the breeze felt the cold chills of his words. "I was letting you play around, but your biggest death wish was touching what belonged to me. Now, where is Natasha!?" His finger itched badly. He wanted to pull the trigger, mercilessly. Plant holes on her body until she looked beautifully designed by bullet holes.
"Please...beli...eve...me." The plead managed to come out between sobs and horrific pains.
Cassian finally lowered his hand, his eyes still burning with hate. "Ziggy, take her to the poorest hospital in Canada." He stood, staring at the three holes in her body. "She should be dumped miles away. Let her fate save her."
Ziggy took the gun, grinning ear to ear as he blew invisible smoke off the barrel. "Trust me on that."
They went outside leaving Jane wailing in there like a hopeless baby.
"Fuck my arse for thinking you've gone soft," Ziggy said.
Cassian curled his fist, suddenly regretting why he left her alive. They thought they could toy with his Lissa. "You should be shot for thinking that."
Ziggy laughed, his phone popping in his pants. Getting it out his something crossed his eyes when he saw it's an Instagram notification from Bella.
He held the car door knob, clicking on her name. Last night he had found her page, watched her videos and forgot to follow. Today, she made a post and IG had to remind him.
He clicked the follow button, replying to Cassian. "I'd rather keep my thoughts to myself from now onwards." He slid into the driver's seat while Cassian got to the back.
Cassian turned on the camera to his room, and Lalissa appeared on the screen.
The camera had always been there just that he never used it, except for when Lalissa came into his life. He didn't only make his way into her life, but her phone as well. Every time he knew what naughty things she did in secret was him having access to her phone.
He relaxed into the chair, watching her eat. He licked his lips still tasting her. The way her cunt tasted especially with the water drove him mad that he couldn't stop. He lost count of how many times she came all over him. Two because of his finger, and the rest—he wouldn't have stopped if she didn't start shaking so much. He could stay there all day. On his knees, gripping her waist while making her shatter sinfully on his tongue.
Fucking priceless cunt. Excessively addictive.
He only stopped because she was tired. Carrying her into his arms, he didn't make it to his bed before she fell into a deep slumber.
He scrolled through his phone call, wanting to hear her voice.
Before he could click the call button, another call came to his phone.
Sara.
\[REID'S GLOBAL\]
Lalissa arrived at her table, and the first thing she did was to peek into Cassian's office. She woke up to find him gone. She knew he didn't want to disturb her, but she has no idea what she should be doing in that big house, so she chose the office.
"Sir hasn't arrived, stop missing him," Bella said behind her.
Lalissa turned around. "It's normal to check for him. He's my boss."
"A boss that went out of his way to save you." She did dramatic faces.
Lalissa didn't know when a smile crept up her cheeks. "It means nothing."
"I know, I know."
Lalissa slapped her shoulder. "Stop it."
"Okay," Bella giggled, but stopped seeming to have remembered something. "Hey, have you heard?"
Lalissa narrowed her brow. "What?"
"Manager Jane has resigned."
"What...do you mean she has resigned?"
"I'm serious. We all got a notification saying she went back to her hometown and won't be returning again."
Lalissa pursed her lips. "Out of the blue? That's strange."
"I know right?" Bella leaned closer. "Do you think it might be because I won the employee award?"
Lalissa gave her a 'really' look. "It can't be because of a petty reason like that. It's something else."
"What do you expect me to say? Well it's a good news. She's always acting as if she's the CEO first lady, and—"
Her phone dinged.
She flipped it around, and checked the notification.
A new IG message.
~Going through your page, and I realized how sexy you'll be. Sexy AF.
Lalissa noticed the sudden serious and frowned expression on her face.
"Why the look?"
