CHAPTER 23: Powers
We all sat at the dining table, my family was here too and I felt like a family again seeing them. Diana had changed to another cloth and she still sat near Melvin why I sat in between Kelly and Kiara. My mind was still in the challenge I had accepted and no nothing to do about it, I should have declined the offer but I don't want her to feel I was a nobody.
"Why did you accept the challenge, when you know you can't do anything?" Kelly asked, she wasn't looking at me, her eyes were on Diana.
"What did you expect me to do? Allow her feel that I can't do anything?" I answered
"You should have let us deal with her" Kiara spoke, we weren't looking at each other to avoid letting the Alpha king Know we were talking while dinning
"I can't let you all deal with my affairs, I can't depend on you two forever, I should learn how to fight for myself too" I encouraged myself as I spoke.
"Try using your Omega power tomorrow, I know you can do it, you aren't weak as everybody thinks" Kelly told me. She was one person who could make me fo through difficulties without the fear of falling.
"I welcome the Peking pack here today, it's a pleasure for you to dine with us tonight" Alpha King spoke out. He's he really talking while dinning, so rare of him
"The pleasure is ours, Thank you for taking care of our daughter and also inviting us to see her today" Father replied with a bow. I forgave my father the moment I saw him, even though he haven't stopped selling out his daughters, I was greatful to him because I entered this great family because of him.
"I'm confused about something, Alpha king" Mom said. What is she confused about, mom wasn't the type to speak to people fluently. Alpha king gave her a sign to go ahead
"Even though your sons are a little identical, I can still point out the one that married my daughter, This isn't him, but this" Mom pointed at Elvis and Melvin. I thought she have forgotten Everything about it
"All I want to know is if, she was remarried to your other son without our concept" Mom added
"Mom, it's not what you think, Elvis is only being my date for tonight because of some reasons" I answered immediately
"Your date? Shouldn't your husband be your date?" She asked again
"Mom..!!"
"Audrey!! I'm your mother,I know when you are trying to cover up something secret" she interrupted me
"Kate!!!" Father called my mother by her name, he tried to sit her down but she was to fast to stand up. Mom looked angry
"The fact that you don't look after your children doesn't mean I should do the same, I begged you to get Audrey married in a good family, the one that would make her happy, is this it?" Mom yelled at father for the first time
"I'm sorry Alpha king, Audrey has suffered enough, If she still is going to suffer like this, we can untie the Knot so I would take her back home"
"I'm really sorry, thing we're complicated, Melvin is still Audrey's husband" Alpha King answered
"But he doesn't love her, how can she stay here" I tried to calm mom down, but there was nothing I can do for the moment
"If Audrey doesn't want to stay here anymore, I promise to send her back with you, the Answer lies in her hands" Everyone turned to me. Why was I to be the only one giving answers, or is it because it is my problem
"Mom! I know you really care about me and I'm greatful, you love to see me happy, to tell you the truth, I'm really happy, this is a wonderful home, sometimes I feel sad but I'm happy too, I have them to comfort me.. I was even given the right to lead the troops, something I didn't do back home" I made her see reasons with me
"I want to stay here Mom, I really want to, you promised that Kelly would always visit me but she didn't, I felt sad because of that only, I have no other reason to be sad" I answered
"Does he treat you well?" She asked about Melvin. I looked at him and he was looking at me too
"He does, he his awesome, He treats me different from other men, he couldn't be my date tonight because we had a little argument, that's all" Kelly and Kiara were looking at me surprised, Even Elvis and rest were too..
"I'm sorry Alpha King" Mom bowed
"You don't have to, i understand, every mother feels the same way when it comes to her daughter" the queen answered
"I promise to take care of Audrey well"
"Enough of the sad endings, I heard that your carriage got spoilt while coming here" Alpha king inquired, and father nodded
"You can spend the night here, while we get another carriage ready for you by tomorrow, The maid would show you to the guest room"
"I wasn't even planning on leaving tonight, I would be here to see you defeat this small ape" Kelly whispered
"She is a little witch too" Kiara added
"I think she should be referred as a dump waste" I cursed, and we three laughed
"Have you joined the queue Beta Kelly?" Alpha king asked Kelly
"This two has always been secretive anytime we are dining and I can see you are gradually learning from them"
"They are really amazing to learn from, Tomorrow Audrey and Diana here would be fighting with sword and I hope you all would come see things" Kelly announced
"Why did you announce it?" Kiara and I asked at the same time
"To add more motivation!" Kelly replied
"Audrey can't fight with sword"
"Her powers hasn't began yet!" Mother broke it out..
"Powers!!!" Everyone asked, except Kelly and father..
