Chapter 22-4
"You're a good little pet, aren't you?" Charlotte ignored his comment and closed her eyes, once again wishing this nightmare she was living would be over. *** Charlotte sat on the window bench in her bedroom with her art book resting on her knees. It was raining outside and the soft patter on the roof created a calm space for her to draw. She blew another breath of air to blow the bangs out of the way that now sat across her forehead. She had her new bangs for a week and she hated them. Her blonde hair had platinum highlights through them and while she liked the colour, she wasn't a fan of the short length that sat just below her chin and the bangs on her forehead. It was almost a bob, and it annoyed her to no end that she couldn't tie it up anymore. Sighing, she rubbed out a line she didn't like that made Chase's face look too harsh. She had spent the last week hiding in her room, drawing people in her life she could no longer see. Her bodyguards were floating around the house somewhere and often she found Aaron watching her closely, which was making her feel uncomfortable. She mentioned it on the phone to Landon who laughed at her and told her to stop being a slut and looking for attention. There was a knock at her door and Charlotte quickly hid her drawing and opened the book she had lying next to her. "Come in." She looked towards the open door and tried not to shiver when she saw Aaron standing there. Aaron walked into the room looking at the unmade bed before looking toward Charlotte with a suggestive look. "Miss Jones. I have informed Mr Keating that you haven't left the room in a week. He has insisted we take you to the shops to go shopping." Charlotte looked down at the track pants she was wearing and back to Aaron who was watching her closely. "Okay. I will change into something more presentable and meet you downstairs." She waited for Aaron to leave the room, instead, he walked over to the bed and sat at the end. "I think I'll wait here. You better hurry, I would hate to have to call Landon and inform him his little pet isn't cooperating." He smirked at her with an evil glint in his eye that made charlotte wish she was anywhere else but here. Not wanting to get in trouble with Landon, Charlotte stood up knowing her art book was carefully hidden under the cushion she was sitting on and went into her walk-in wardrobe. She expected Aaron to stay seated on the bed and closed her eyes in horror when he followed her into the closet. She watched in horror as he sat on the stool in the middle of the closet and crossed one leg over his right thigh and got comfortable. Charlotte didn't know if this was another game Landon was playing or if Aaron was as sick in the head as he was. Charlotte quickly grabbed her clothes and went to leave to get changed in the bathroom when Aaron quickly stood up and stopped her. "No need to be shy Charlotte, you have spread your legs for enough people. Getting undressed shouldn't be a problem." She starred up into a face that was blessed with beauty and instead found an icy man intent on getting what he wanted. "A-A-Aaron I don't that is appropriate." She stuttered, wanting nothing more than to go back to her drawing on an actual angel named Chase. "Do I need to ring Landon Charlotte? He would be so displeased if his pet wasn't doing as her told. We were told not to touch you, doesn't mean we can't watch." He smirked at as she took a step back. "Tick tock. We don't have all day." Shuddering, she knew she had no choice. Glad to have put a bra on earlier. Charlotte turned her back as tears ran down her face at the humiliation as she quickly changed her pants and shirt. She grabbed a cardigan and wrapped it tightly around herself, putting on some joggers and grabbing a bag. When she turned around her eyes dropped so quickly to the floor when she saw Aaron with his hands down his pants stroking himself while she got change. She felt sick. She felt disgusting, and she felt like she deserved it. She felt like that maybe she was a slut who opened her legs for anyone who gave her any form of love or attention. She felt like she deserved it because she was a vulgar person. Charlotte closed her eyes when he groaned as tears slipped down her face. She wasn't sure how long she stood there for with her eyes closed until Aaron spoke again. "Fuck even when you cry you are pretty." She opened up her wet eyes to see him smirking at her and guesting towards the door. "Shall we." Charlotte quickly hurried past him, wanting to get this day and shopping trip over and done with. **** The shopping trip was as bad as she thought it would be. The rain had stopped when they left, and Charlotte was tired. She wanted to go home, take her sleeping pills and sleep until she never woke up again. Aaron followed her through every shop and stood close by whenever she changed. She bought some tops and a cute skirt for the warmer spring weather. She closed her eyes as Aaron drove her back to the house and she wondered where her other bodyguard was. She had to listen to his sly comments about her being a good pet, or how sexy she was. The sun was setting as they pulled up to the house and she sighed loud enough for Aaron to hear. "Don't sound too disappointed to be home, Charlotte." He smirked at her through the mirror before stepping out the car and grabbing her few shopping bags. Charlotte followed Aaron into the house, tired, and froze when she saw Landon sitting at the island bench. He was reading something, but his wide back was blocking the view. Next to him was a bottle of scotch as she felt dread build up in her stomach. "I don't ask for much Charlotte. I ask you to listen to what I say, follow the rules and be an obedient girl." He said on a sigh, and she looked towards Aaron who was grinning and leaning against the wall. "Landon I don't know what you are talking about. I have been following the rules." She said confused. She had followed every rule he asked.
