Chapter 106: The End
Chapter 106: The End
Cattleya’s POV
"Are you ready?" I asked, and then he held my hand tightly.
He nodded nervously.
I laughed, "Jaxon, this is not so you."
"I'm just nervous, babe," he replied with a soft sigh.
Thankfully, I had previously told them about their father, who had been away for many years and even showed them a photo of Jaxon. So, by the time they met him, they already knew who he was.
Jaxon looked incredibly nervous as we arrived at the safe house. He seemed on the verge of running away. "What if they don't like me? What if they can't accept me?" he fretted.
"Have they seen your face before?" I asked calmly.
He stood at the doorway, a mixture of excitement and apprehension evident on his face. "No, not yet. But I've already seen them. Gosh, they look so cute! They look just like me—"
"Hey! I'm their mother too," I teased, "You can't take all the credit!"
Jaxon blushed. I wanted to laugh but gently knocked on the door with a smile.
He sighed softly. "What do I do now? Will they be upset to see me?" He still looked unconvinced, and I wasn't sure how to reassure him further.
"Relax, love," I said, squeezing his hand and kissing his cheek.
The door swung open, revealing the twins. They were initially excited to see me, but then their eyes landed on Jaxon and gasped.
Matthew exclaimed, "Whoa!"
And Madison echoed, "Oh my god!"
Jaxon was stunned, frozen in place, as he stared at the twins. They looked up at him with wide, rounded eyes, disbelief written all over their faces.
Suddenly, Madison shrieked excitedly and grabbed Jaxon's hand, "Are you really our dad?!"
I squatted down to their level, "Honey, this is your dad. Remember the photo I showed you? Yes, that's him. He's your daddy."
Madison and Matthew's mouths hung open. "Wow," they exclaimed unison, "This is our daddy?!"
I looked up at Jaxon, who gulped softly. He seemed a little overwhelmed by the sudden turn of events. However, a proud smile spread across his face. He was relieved that his twins weren't upset to see him but instead were surprised and happy to see him.
Madison blinked her lovely eyes and exclaimed, "Wow, thank you for bringing daddy, Mommy!" She then raised both hands, and Matthew followed suit.
Jaxon finally blurted out, "H-Hey, kids."
"Hey, Daddy!" they chorused.
Jaxon scooped them both into his arms, beaming with happiness. As I watched them, a warm smile spread across my face. Then, my gaze fell upon my mother, who was standing in the corner.
She looked as if she couldn't believe her eyes. "Oh, my daughter," she whispered, tears welling up in her eyes. "Is that really you?"
"Y-Yes, Mom," I replied, tears brimming in my own eyes.
"Oh my god, it's really you!" she cried, engulfing me in a tight hug.
I glanced at my father, who was seated in his wheelchair. He smiled at me, his voice raspy and robotic, "C-Cattleya... m-my daughter."
"Mom, what happened to Dad?" I asked, my voice trembling.
"He suffered a heart attack that day when he learned about what happened to you," she replied, her voice thick with emotion. "It led to a stroke, leaving him paralyzed. But I'm still grateful that he's alive..." Tears welled up in her eyes, but she quickly wiped them away. "We're so glad you're alive, Cattleya. We've been through hell these past years."
"I'm so sorry, Mom. I'm sorry for hiding," I whispered, overcome with guilt.
I then turned to my father and hugged him tightly. "I'm so sorry, Dad..."
"It's okay, we understand," he replied, a gentle smile gracing his lips.
"Catt... I need your help!" I heard Jaxon's voice from outside.
I chuckled softly. On their first day together, the twins had been so enthusiastic that they'd forgotten their father was human, too.
They were happily playing with him, and one of them even tried swinging on him! Jaxon glanced at me with a loving smile, and without words, I knew how much this meant to him.
He mouthed, "Thank you."
ONE YEAR LATER,
"Jaxon, stop! We're going to be late," I chuckled softly, still feeling the lingering warmth of his touch. Every kiss he gave me was pure bliss, a heavenly experience. As much as I wanted to stay in bed with him, I couldn't. We had a special wedding to attend.
He groaned playfully as he watched me get dressed. "What? But I want more," he sighed, running a hand through his hair. "We can make it quick. The kids are still sleeping. We can have a lot of fun." He winked at me mischievously.
I laughed softly at his playful suggestion. He was definitely in the mood, and I wouldn't lie; I was too. However, I placed my hand over his mouth to silence him. "Jaxon, we need to shower, and get ready, or else Vianne will be mad at me if we're late to her wedding. You know how important this day is to her—"
He scooped me up in his arms and carried me towards the bathroom, a mischievous glint in his eyes. "Well, we can do it in the bathroom then..."
"What? No—" I laughed softly as he closed the bathroom door behind us.
After thirty minutes in the bathroom, my knees trembled in satisfaction, but Jaxon still seemed to want more.
The man was insatiable, a true Greek god in that department.
He wrapped a towel around me and gently dried my hair while I applied my makeup.
Then he put on his royal blue suit, looking every bit the handsome best man.
I slipped into my baby blue dress with a delicate crown of blue and white flowers adorning my hair. He smiled at me, "Wow, perfect. You look so beautiful, my love. I think I may want more kids now with you..."
I chuckled, "The twins are already exhausting us, and you want more?"
Suddenly, there was a knock on the door, followed by my little girl's voice, "Mommy! Are you ready? Mommy, I wanna see you...."
"Yes, baby," I replied, opening the door. My daughter gasped when she saw me in the dress.
"Wow, Mommy! You look so pretty!" she exclaimed.
"Aww, you too, baby!"
Then Matthew ran towards me, "Mommy! I want to have the same necktie as Dad... I don't like mine. I'm a big boy now... I wanna be like Dad!"
I glanced at Jaxon, "Jaxon, your turn. Put on the necktie he wants, the same as yours."
"Come here, little man," Jaxon said, lifting Matthew onto his lap. He carefully removed Matthew's current necktie and replaced it with a smaller one that matched his own. "Look at you my little man, you look just like me."
Matthew exclaimed happily, "Woahhh! I love it, Dad! Thank you!"
And we arrived at the venue, arriving on time for the wedding. My little girl was so happy, scattering flower petals along the aisle as she walked. Matthew followed, looking so proud of himself, walking like a little gentleman with a mischievous smirk on his face.
Then came the bride, Vianne.
She looked absolutely breathtaking in her wedding gown. I couldn't believe how close Vianne and I had become, how she had become a part of my family. It felt like magic.
Tears welled up in her eyes as she saw her groom at the altar. Then she glanced at me and waved, a radiant smile gracing her face.
As the two lovebirds exchanged vows, I turned to the man who made my heart beat wildly, my life, my husband, the only man I would ever give my everything.
He smiled at me, and I returned the smile, and our fingers intertwined.
And he whispered in my ear, “I love you…”
I whispered back, “I love you, too.”
And on that day, we lived a normal, happy life. Jaxon had left the organization, replaced by Vlad, who became a good friend. Vianne had left the country with her husband.
As I looked up at the vast expanse of the sky, I simply wished for my sister's soul to rest in peace. I had moved on, embracing life with her daughter and the loving family I had built.
Jaxon hugged me from behind, his arms encircling me as we both gazed out at the crashing waves of the ocean. "Thank you for seducing me..." he murmured, his voice husky with emotion.
I laughed softly. Who would have thought that a bit of seduction would lead us to this – a happy family, a life filled with love and laughter?
"We better go now," I said, taking his hand in mine. "The kids are waiting for us."
He pulled me closer, his lips meeting mine in a tender kiss. "Let's go, baby…."
