Chapter63 Painting Nails
Chapter63 Painting Nails
After Caius spoke, Linnea's glances at him became strange.
She couldn't quite believe that Caius had actually agreed to her "difficult demand," so much so that she instinctively wanted to pull her feet under the covers.
But Caius quickly reached out and gripped her ankle, keeping her from moving.
Meeting Caius's meaningful eyes, Linnea swallowed. "Caius, what are you planning to do? I don't have the strength to resist right now, so please stay calm..."
Caius pulled her ankle onto his thigh, letting Linnea's foot rest against his dress pants, and asked with a smile, "Didn't you say you wanted a foot massage? What's wrong? Are you scared now, or embarrassed?"
"I didn't say I was embarrassed. I'm just afraid you'll chop my ankle off with one strike."
Caius couldn't help but laugh, his rough fingertips rubbing against the top of her foot. "You're getting better and better at making excuses. Now, settle down and don't move. Where does it hurt? I'll give it a good rub."
After Linnea tried to struggle several times but couldn't escape Caius's control, she finally gave up. "The top of my foot then. When I fell out of bed, I remember twisting my ankle... By the way, Caius, how did you arrive so quickly?"
Caius lowered his eyes, staring at that soft foot. He couldn't see any bruising, but he still pressed down, applying pressure to a soft spot on the top of her foot and began to massage. "I was right outside the door."
"...You were outside?!"
Linnea froze for a moment. A terrible thought popped into her mind. "How long were you standing out there?"
"Not short."
Linnea burst out loudly, "Don't tell me you were fantasizing about me in your head, which is why you didn't notice I was in pain and crying out! You even hung up on me! I suffered in there for so long!"
After she vented her emotions, Caius remained silent.
"Caius? Don't you think I'm right..."
"No, this is my fault." Caius finally spoke. "I'm just thinking about how I can make it up to you as best I can."
Linnea pursed her lips and lightly pushed against his inner thigh with her foot.
"Shouldn't I be the one deciding what compensation looks like?"
Her soft ankle brushed against his crotch, making Caius grunt. "You dare make demands? Not afraid I'll chop your ankle off anymore?"
"You have a point, so I need to give you a simple task to test whether you're sincere."
"I'm all ears."
Linnea struggled to move her body, trying to reach for her bag on the nightstand.
Caius helped her get it. Following her instructions, he pulled out a bottle of red nail polish. Linnea leaned back leisurely against the headboard, stretched out her legs, her toes barely grazing his taut abs. "I've been so busy lately. After I removed my nail polish, I haven't had time to reapply it..."
Under her cunning gaze, Caius pinched her toe and began painting her nails. "Then you better not shake, or if I mess up and get it on your foot, you can't blame me."
Linnea's feet still carried a bone-chilling coldness from the aftereffects of Carla's poison, but now they were covered by Caius's burning hot palm. The warmth dispelled the cold, and the occasional touch of his fingertips on her skin while painting brought a ticklish sensation.
As he painted, the mischievous customer started to squirm. She pulled her foot back slightly. "Isn't that about enough?"
"Not done yet."
So Linnea waited impatiently a bit longer, until she noticed Caius's movements were deliberately slow. "...Are you purposely slowing down?"
"Of course." Caius pulled that foot closer into his embrace, the sole pressing against his crotch, though he seemed completely unfazed. "This is my compensation to Miss Linnea. Naturally I'll do my very best..."
"I don't need compensation anymore. Please let go of my foot."
Linnea tried to struggle again, but that large hand circled her ankle. Not only couldn't she pull back, she accidentally stepped on Caius's hardness. Linnea guiltily glanced down. That area had become even harder.
Caius lifted his eyelids to look at her, his gaze deep. He said nothing, but Linnea was pinned in place, not daring to move.
After intimidating her into submission, Caius focused on finishing the remaining toenails. Once done, he tossed the nail polish aside, pulled his chair closer to Linnea, and dragged her foot to rest on his crotch.
Her sole made contact with something a hundred times hotter than Caius's hand. Linnea's face burned red, but Caius muttered and thrust his hips upward. "Linnea, now that I've finished the compensation, can I ask for a reward? For rescuing you in time."
"And I've been holding back since yesterday when you smiled at that kid. Aren't you going to take responsibility?"
The sound of rustling fabric filled the air. Linnea didn't dare look at what Caius was doing and could only cover her face tightly. "...Then hurry up! Don't dawdle!"
Caius's lips curved into a smile. "As you wish."
Linnea hid her eyes in darkness, but her sense of touch became incredibly sharp because of it. That thing first felt hard through the fabric, then when skin touched skin it was vigorously hot and gradually swelling, trembling ticklishly against her sole. Finally, with intense trembling, something thick and sticky shot onto the arch of her foot, spilling onto the top of her foot and her calf...
"Caius... you went too far!"
Linnea was so embarrassed she nearly cried.
Caius pressed over her, restraining his strength as he pinned her to the headboard, his tip pressing against her sweaty palm.
"You did so well. Can you touch it a little more?"
"...Get lost!"
...
Thanks to Jam's professional medical team, Linnea was discharged that same day.
After spending some pleasant days at the beach apartment, she successfully returned to work.
On her first day at lunch, she snuck into Caius's office to eat and immediately spotted the blueberry cake sitting by his hand.
Linnea plopped herself onto Caius's lap and started eating the cake, not bothering to ask whether she had permission.
Her body blocked the laptop screen. Caius sighed helplessly, though his arm instinctively steadied her waist. "You're getting better and better at interfering with my work."
Linnea snuggled into his embrace, disagreeing with his complaint. "I'm always very good at reading the room. If you were really busy with work, I wouldn't bother you."
"So?"
"But just now you weren't typing on the keyboard, you weren't frowning or rubbing your temples, and your whole body gave off a relatively stable vibe. Conclusion: safe, suitable for acting spoiled."
"You understand me more and more?"
"Well, I love you after all." Linnea mumbled.
The cake had a tart fruity flavor, the same as the one Vivienne had sent last time. As Linnea ate, she couldn't help complaining. "Who specifically feeds their mistress cake that their wife made with love?"
Caius swatted her butt. "You like the mistress identity now? You have to emphasize it every time?"
Linnea looked bewildered at being hit, her eyes widening in grievance. "Aren't you the one who likes the thrill? How was I supposed to know you'd change your mind today!"
Caius stared at her for a few seconds before admitting defeat. He could only rub her butt. "My mistake."
Linnea was satisfied with his apology. After ordering him around a bit more, she lay in his arms and said, "You said you'd compensate me. I've thought about it now. I want the exhibition rights for the Radiant Vision art show."
"The art show Selah is about to participate in?" Caius raised an eyebrow. "Alright. I'll have my staff assist you throughout. Issues involving funding and venue, no matter the cost, I'll have them handle..."
"No." Linnea gently gripped his arm. "I'm not the one hosting the exhibition."
"Hm?"
"I want to give the exhibition rights to Carla."
