It was him—Blake. Again!

As I glanced at him, it felt like he knew I was staring because he was staring right back at me.

Quickly, I shut my curtain, my heartbeat racing.

This was all planned. My parents, my aunt, Blake—they all conspired together. God! What do I do? How do I escape this?

I picked up my phone from my bed and dialed my mother's number.

After a few seconds, the call connected. “Shimma, I’ve been calling you! Why didn’t you pick up? You scared your father and me,” she mumbled, and I rolled my eyes in annoyance.

Why would I pick up when they’ve basically ruined my life?

“Why would you do this, Mum?” I said, ignoring her questions. There was a pause before she finally spoke.

“Shimma, I know you're still grieving Mattias, and I don’t blame you for that. But everything your father and I do is for your own good. You just have to—”

“I’m not talking about that,” I cut her off. “I’m talking about Blake. Why would you set me up with him of all people?”

Silence hung in the air, longer this time. I wanted to speak, to know if she was still there, when she finally responded.

“We only want you to heal quickly,” she said. I laughed bitterly.

“Oh, so you knew I was hurt. You know taking Mattias away from me would hurt.”

“Shimma, we—”

“No! Let me speak!” I growled, not wanting to hear any more nonsense. “Mother, I want to say one thing to both of you. If you think you’re helping me, I assure you that you’ll later find out you and Dad are the reason I’ll grow old unhappy. And I pray that haunts you both to your graves,” I said.

“Look, don’t take it that way. You’re mistaken. You—”

I hung up before she could finish. What else could she say but that whatever she was doing was for my own good? I felt fucking sick.

I lay on the bed, my chest tight.

Turning my phone back on, I scrolled through my gallery until I stopped, tapping on a photo—my favorite one.

I smiled, staring at the picture of Mattias as tears began to roll down my cheeks. I had taken it one morning while he was still asleep, without his consent. He still doesn’t know I have this picture of him.

I wondered how he would react if he found out. Would he be nervous, angry, happy? Perhaps shy? God, I miss him so much.

I miss him so much that I want to scream his name right now.

I miss his face, his scent, his body, the feel of his skin, his minty breath, his kiss, his touch. Gawd the sex! Fuck!

I wiped my tears as i zoomed in the picture. The duvet covering only his waist down, Leaving his bare chest visible.

I could remember that day so vividly. That was our morning in Paris. That was when i truely, deeply fell inlove with him.

Who knew a day like this would come? Who knew that girl taking that photo with so much love will end up like this girl, crying over the same photo.

I miss him so much and at the time I want him so bad.

But i hope that much, knowing i might never have what i had with him again. My Mattias….
