Chapter 3 Welcome to your new life
Cameron's POV
For three years have I searched frantically for the courageous drunken woman who succeeded in making my wolf feel all pleasures it never knew existed and left us both craving for her touch.
Before I woke up the next morning, she was gone and I searched crazily for her, in hope that she'll someday show up.
I had my men search the entire town for her, ask around front rh bartender if anyone had seen her but we could come up with was a sketch of her from what I remembered.
Yet, I didn't give up. How was I to give up when after what seemed like an eternity, I've found my mate?
“Are you crazy?” She screamed at me.
I laughed softly and clicked my tongue, her disheveled hair made her look more desirable.
“No I'm not, I'm Cameron Giovanni.” I bragged, extending a hand for an handshake.
She slapped my hands away. “I don't care who you are or what your name is, get out of my house!” She barked.
That feistiness aroused my wolf and I held back the urge to pounce on her and mark her right there.
“Marry me Lily and I'll give you everything you've ever dreamt of.” I offered.
She snickered loudly. “My name isn't Lily, why would I do something as crazy as marrying you? I don't even know who you are!”
“You did seduce me into bed three years ago, I think that qualifies as crazy. You could get to know me if you want, I'm Cameron Giovanni.” I introduced myself.
She threw a pillow at me which I effortlessly dodged. “You think you're some hot shot in a romance movie that tracks down that one girl you had a one night stand with and marry her? Who do you think you are? The multi billionaire Cameron Giovanni?” She insulted.
I laughed softly. She was right, I was here for her. “Yes, I am.”
She laughed hysterically and she suddenly stopped seeming to remember something. I smirked as I watched the realization of my identity dawn on her.
“Yo-you are Cameron Giovanni! The freaking wealthiest man in the world!” She exclaimed.
I wore a smug look and tut. “Don't make a big deal about it.”
“What do you want with me? Are you suing me for sexual harassment?”
I laughed at her silly theory. “No Lily, I told you. I'm here for you, marry me.” I proposed to her.
She arced an eyebrow. “Why? I'm just a lowly girl, how did you even find me?”
How was I to tell her that I'm obsessed with her and I luckily found her because I had a business deal to close in town and caught a whiff of her scent in a restaurant. I also stayed in the town for a whole month, visiting every restaurant I knew hoping to run into her.
“I have my ways, remember all those who made you live like this? I can make them pay for what they did. You said to me that night that you wanted to avenge yourself on each and every one of them for taking away your life? I can make that come true.”
“In exchange, I have to marry you?”
“Yes.”
“What do you gain from it?”
“You, Lily. You're all I've ever wanted.”
She looked at me like I was insane and shook her head, weighing her options.
“Where's her father?” I asked, pointing at Xyla.
She instantly became alerted and stood up to me.
“He's none of your business.” She retorted.
“I see, but she'll be all of my business once you agree to marry me. I'll give her a name, in the future no one would dare try to harm her or treat her unjustly. Don't you want that for her?” I offered, temptingly and I could visibly see that she was falling for it.
It killed me to envision another man on top of her, touching her in the places I once touched and dreamt of all night but I had no choice, I can't afford to let her go. I'll do anything to keep her.
“She has a father.”
“I can't see him anywhere, does that mean he's not in the picture?”
“I don't want to talk about it.”
“Then we won't talk about it. I'll be her father.”
Her eyes widened in shock and I could feel her letting her guards down. I swiftly moved and carried Xyla.
“Give me my baby!” She yelled, horrified.
I chuckled. “I'm not biting her.” I assured her as I played with Xyla, there was this sense of peace I felt whenever she smiled or pouted. “She looks beautiful.”
She tried to grab Xyla but I caught hold of her hand and effortlessly pinned her to the wall. She struggled to break free.
“Cute.” I commented. The fierceness in her eyes bore into me, it made my heart swell with pride. This is my woman!
“You little-”
I shut her up with a sweet passionate kiss and left her breathless.
“You'll marry me Lily, you have no choice, pack up Lily, we're going home.” I said, smirking. Then I placed Xyla in her arms and began to walk away.
“My name is Sheila, not Lily!” She yelled.
I stopped by the door to say one last sentence to her. “I’ll have my men pick you up in two hour's time. Be ready. It's your decision to make. If you don't come with them, then I'll disappear from your life forever and so will this opportunity but if you come, you'll never forget this!”
“You're crazy!” She spat but I tut and waved as I retreated.
I exhaled sharply as I stepped out of the house, grateful that I had found her.
“Where to boss?” Edwards asked me.
“Riggs Headquarters, I have unfinished business.” I replied.
Two hours later, I was at the hanger, awaiting Sheila. My heart had raced every minute, hoping she'd make the right choice. Thirty minutes later, the car I sent to pick her up arrived and I was excited only for the driver to step out, looking disappointed.
“She chose not to show up.” I uttered, bitterly.
“I'm really sorry Boss.” Edwards placated me. “I'll go get her myself.”
“No! I want her to chose this herself.” I stopped him.
“She's your-” his words were drowned as a car drove in with high speed. Parked right in front of us and the door opened, revealing Sheila.
“Sorry I didn't come with your driver, I have trust issues so I simply followed him here, did we miss the flight?” She uttered, dramatically.
I smiled widely and shook my head, pointing to my private jet. Her eyes widened in shock.
“Welcome to your new life.”
