52. Hands over mouth

“Buck.”

“Woah, woah, woah,” Buck exclaimed over the line, “You? Called me? Must be my lucky night, huh? I guess a lioness must have given birth to a fucking duck or penguin!”

Carl frowned at his phone as if Buck could see the irritated expression on his face, “I need some information about someone by tomorrow morning. Can you do that for me, Buck?”

“Anything for anyone with the Brimmer name, Carl.”

Carl scoffed, “There’s only two of us left anyway,” he remarked in a crispy tone. “A girl, Sam Spears. She has a step brother, Dudley. Do you know where I am headed with this, Buck?”

Buck gasped, “How the hell did you find out that I’ve been reading those kinds of stories? You been snooping on me, Carl? Huh?”

Carl stared at his phone in confusion, “What the…What? No! No one cares about you reading or watching any family-based porn for fuck’s sake!” he whispered fiercely. “I need the information before noon, Buck.”

Buck’s voice thinned with a trace of embarrassment, “Sure, I got you. And I don’t watch family porn. Why would I do that? So disgusting and…unwholesome…yeah.”

“Sure, I believe you.” Carl replied sarcastically and ended the call.

The next morning, he was surprised to see that Anderson was up before him. He squinted at Anderson, whose weight was sprawled on the floor as flat as a pancake.

“What the hell are you doing?”

Anderson’s body jolted as if it had just been struck by lightning. He got to his knees and stared at Carl, a dejected expression on his face, “Hey. Didn’t know you were awake.” He said awkwardly and wiped his sweat off the tiled floor with his shirt.

Carl arched a brow at him, “What were you doing?”

“I was resting.” He replied quickly, his eyes darting unsteadily, “the bed was…too warm and I was sweating and-”

“You were trying to do some pushups, weren’t you?” Carl butted in flatly and the strained expression of disappointment on Anderson’s face confirmed his suspicions. He rose to his feet and stretched his limps with a groan, then sauntered to the bathroom door, “Start with five pushups a day, then ten, then fifteen, you’ll get used to it that way.”

“Thank you!” Anderson beamed at him, but that smile dropped when Carl pushed open the bathroom door, “You’re going in now? Uhm,” he hesitated, “I wanted to also have my bath now, Carl. I need to head to class real soon.”

Carl cocked his head sideways, “And I need to go for practice. Too bad you can’t shower with me,” he drawled and left the bathroom door open when he stepped in, “I wonder if they have cameras in here too.”

Anderson tried to, but he couldn’t ignore the invitation. A minute later, he tiptoed into the bathroom and a hand grabbed him, pulling him into the pouring shower. Carl kicked the door shut, encircling his arms around Anderson’s naked body. Anderson gasped when Carl shoved his face to the cold wall and he felt a sizzling tingle run through his spine when he felt Carl’s erection between his ass.

The heated shower beat down on his skin like burning, ruthless pellets of rain while Carl thrusted into him from behind. He felt a little sore in his ass from last night, and most of his groans were not of pleasure, but pain, but he didn’t object to Carl’s heated strokes. The warm water softened his hair and when Carl pulled it, snapping his neck backwards, the downpour from the shower filled his mouth and even got into his nostrils.

His body jerked and he coughed profusely. Carl noticed this and swiftly pulled out of him. He turned off the shower when Anderson’s violent coughs persisted. He gurgled and clutched his chest, then suddenly spewed out water from his mouth. He dropped to his knees, breathing heavily on all fours until he caught his breath once again.

“Fucking hell…” he mumbled and took a huge, long breath. “Gosh, I felt like I was going to die!”

Carl swallowed and stepped away from him. Anderson slowly turned and stared at him, stunned by the aghast look on his face. Carl’s heart had sunk to the base of his chest and his hard skin now crawled with goosebumps. He thought Anderson was going to die and the blood-curdling feeling was still stuck with him, making his throat dry and stabbing daggers into his heart.

“Carl…” Anderson called softly and cleared his throat, “I’m fine, what’s the matter? You can continue.”

“Continue?” Carl exclaimed, staring at him in bewilderment as though he had just uttered a blasphemy. “You almost died.”

Anderson saw fear in his eyes for the second time and it suddenly dawned on him that Carl was also human, with the normal emotions, and not the cold beast he had first met in Jason’s bedroom. He slowly rose to his feet, “I’m alright. The water just got into my mouth.”

“And now, it’s pouring out of your eyes.” Carl stated and only then did Anderson realize that tears were drooping from the corner of his eyes, “I’m done. You can have the bathroom.” He said and snatched his towel from the hanger.

Anderson was completely speechless as he watched Carl walk away. Did Carl really care about him that much?

Carl stepped out of the room before Anderson was even out of the bathroom. He needed to go for a morning jog to clear his head. His phone buzzed twenty minutes later, while he was rounding up his second lap from the basketball court to the gates.

It was a message from Buck. He came to a standstill after a few more lazy steps, his eyes glued to the phone. His heart began to thump with excitement as he stared at the contents of Buck’s messages. The pictures added a new twist to the story he was going to tell Sam Spears. This couldn’t have been more perfect!

The sad part of it all was that, Buck called.

“Hey there, little master. Got all the juicy stuff I had for ya?” Buck asked.

Carl breath curled into the crisp morning and the white, cold vapor swirled around his face like a cloud of smoke. “For the one thousandth time, Buck. Don’t call me that.”

Buck chortled. He knew that he had done a good job, for he knew Carl. He was just like his old man and could complain at the slightest err.

“You did well, Buck. I’ll pay you from my allowance this month.”

“Your birthday is tomorrow. So, I guess I can expect that dough tomorrow, eh?”

Carl grunted angrily, “Whatever.” He snapped and cut the call.

He stared at the evidence once more again and couldn’t help but allow a menacing grin play on his lips.

Sam Spears had a long day. It was Thursday! The worst day of the week when her class had so many lectures stacked after the other. She absolutely hated it and was exhausted by the time the last lecturer concluded for the day.

She scooped her books into her bag and swiftly glanced around the classroom. Everyone had segmented into their chittering groups, leaving her alone as usual. No one really wanted to associate with the girl that could snitch on them any time. Her story with Mia Greyjoy had travelled far and wide to the walls that served as the threshold of Beale Crest. She was an outcast, only approached whenever someone was in trouble and that was only because of her position as the student’s president.

She was still getting used to being castigated, but she enjoyed the solitude that came with not having any friends. At least, that was what she always tried to tell her alienated self. She sighed as she walked through the crowded hallway. She had received a lot of text messages in the past few days, regarding the surveillance issue that had turned Beale Crest into a boiling volcano, but hell no, she wasn’t going to interfere and soil her reputation.

“I’ve only masturbated…what? Once or twice? I can’t get suspended for that.” She mumbled to herself, assured that she had nothing to worry about.

The Janitor’s closet she walked past suddenly opened and an arm shot out and grabbed her. Before she could scream, the powerful arm dragged her in and shut the door. She was lost in the darkness, a palm firmly clamped over her mouth. Her sweating body shuddered with terror and her insides curled with a cold, creepy feeling when a deep, yet crisp voice hovered over her ear and whispered.

   “*Shh…*”
