Chapter 327: Unexpected Fall

Chapter 327: Unexpected Fall

Silverlight City.

Irvin, who Lyle had mentioned, bought a bouquet of roses for Brynn.

Irvin wore a white shirt and casual pants. With his tall figure, he pressed his thin lips together with a cool expression, "I got paid today."

Brynn took the roses, her face warming up. She looked at Irvin and smiled.

Since marrying Armando until now, she had never received any gifts from him.

Whether a man has money or not, sometimes just receiving a small gift can make a woman very happy.

Brynn looked at Irvin in front of her. He had even saved her a while ago.

Touched, she reached out and took his arm on her own, "Thank you."

Irvin looked down at his arm being held, feeling happy inside. He genuinely wanted to find a rich woman to support him, so naturally he treated Brynn with care.

"Should we go see a movie?" Irvin asked hesitantly.

"Sure." Brynn nodded in agreement.

Beatrix had just walked out of a restaurant when she saw her son Armando's wife Brynn holding Irvin's arm not far ahead, the two of them laughing and talking intimately.

Beatrix's heart sank. After hesitating for a moment, she decided to quietly follow them to see what was going on.

Brynn and Irvin went to the cinema, bought movie tickets, and lined up to enter the theater.

After the shock, Beatrix almost laughed in anger. Was Brynn cheating on Armando behind his back!

Beatrix quickly took out her phone and secretly snapped a photo of Brynn and Irvin, sending it to Armando.

[Son, do you know where your wife is right now? She's about to go watch a movie with some man, all cozy together]

After sending the photo to Armando, Beatrix got angrier the more she thought about it. She sent the photo to Cecilia too, [Mom, this woman Brynn is really restless, she's totally embarrassing Armando]

At that moment, Armando was having dinner with a client. He saw the photo and message from Beatrix.

His expression remained calm as he put away his phone.

After seeing the client off and heading back to the company, halfway there, he received a call from his grandmother Cecilia.

Armando had the driver pull over. He got out of the car and answered the phone, "Grandma."

Cecilia looked expressionlessly at Jane practicing in the dance studio.

Cecilia spoke with concern to Armando on the other end, "Armando, I just saw the photo your mother sent. Your current situation is only temporary. She'll regret it someday. Our plan will succeed soon."

Armando used to be such a proud person, and now he had to humble himself and move into The Potts Mansion.

This was all Elizabeth and Timothy's fault!

Armando's cool expression softened, "Grandma, it's my fault for making you worry."

Cecilia smiled, "By the way, our Sloane, her teachers all praise how smart she is. You should call her when you have time. Father and daughter need to stay in touch."

Armando's lips curved into a faint smile, "Grandma, thank you. I'll remember to call Sloane."

The two hung up.

Armando got back in the car and had the driver continue. He closed his eyes, thinking about the photo of Brynn and Irvin together, feeling disgusted.

Jane finished her last dance move, happily said goodbye to her teacher, then ran out of the dance studio.

She saw Cecilia and excitedly ran up to her, acting cute, "Grandma, is Grandpa almost here?"

Cecilia had already switched to a kind and loving expression. She squatted down and took out a handkerchief to gently wipe Jane's sweat, "Yes, Grandpa will be here soon. Jane, go take a bath first, and then we'll go to the airport to pick up Grandpa together."

Hearing this, Jane's little face instantly broke into a bright smile.

She held Cecilia's hand, "Okay, I miss Grandpa so much!"

Manuel flew to Sylvanor every month to spend time with Jane and Tommy.

Jane immediately ran off to take a bath, while Tommy was already sleeping crooked on the sofa, waiting for Jane to come down.

Tommy played games every night, so naturally he had no energy during the day.

Seeing Tommy sleeping, Cecilia smiled slightly. Ever since Cecilia brought Tommy and Jane abroad to study in Sylvanor, she had been deliberately spoiling them!

After Jane finished her bath and changed into a pretty little dress, Cecilia woke Tommy up, tidied his clothes, and the family set off to pick up Manuel. Sloane was away competing in a math olympiad and wasn't home.

Manuel walked out of the arrivals hall full of energy and heard Jane's cheerful voice.

"Grandpa!" Jane called out happily, let go of Cecilia's hand, and ran toward Manuel.

Manuel opened his arms and caught his little granddaughter as she rushed over.

He picked her up, his face full of affection, "How did our Jane become even more adorable?"

Jane hugged Manuel's neck, laughing happily, "Grandpa, I missed you so much!"

Cecilia walked up with Tommy, complaining helplessly, "Mr. Robinson, these two kids knew you were coming and didn't sleep last night like they were on something. Look at Tommy, his little head is nodding off again."

Manuel patted Tommy's head, both happy and heartbroken, "Let's go home."

That evening.

After Tommy and Jane had gone to bed, Manuel leaned back on the sofa, rubbing his temples.

Manuel was getting old. Playing with Tommy and Jane for half a day made him very tired.

"Cecilia, I can't deny I'm getting old anymore." Manuel took the tea Cecilia handed him and said with a sigh.

Cecilia sat beside him and smiled, "Mr. Robinson, you should rest more and not overwork yourself."

Manuel took a light sip of tea and sighed, "Tommy hasn't grown up yet, I haven't seen him take over the company. I don't dare rest."

Cecilia noticed Manuel didn't mention Timothy and smiled.

After drinking a few sips of tea, Manuel felt a bit dizzy. He thought he was just too tired today.

Cecilia held Manuel's hand and said gently, "Mr. Robinson, you're tired today. Go back to your room and rest."

Manuel shook his head, feeling it getting heavier and heavier, "Okay."

Cecilia helped Manuel upstairs. As they were about to reach the last step on the second floor, she let go of her hand supporting Manuel.

Manuel's head was spinning, his body swaying. He stepped back, missed his footing, and rolled straight down the stairs.

He fell heavily to the ground with a loud thud.

"Mr. Robinson!" Cecilia pretended to cry out in panic and quickly ran downstairs.

She looked at Manuel lying on the ground, but her heart was completely calm.

Manuel lay on the ground, blood seeping from his head.

Cecilia waited a moment, then quickly called for an ambulance. She squatted down, held Manuel's hand, and put on a very anxious look, "Mr. Robinson, it'll be okay, you'll be fine."

Manuel had rolled down from the high stairs. There was no way he'd be fine, especially since he was already old.

"Mr. Robinson, the ambulance will be here soon, hang in there." She comforted him softly.

Manuel gasped in pain, his consciousness gradually fading as he passed out.

Cecilia first went to take the teacup from the living room coffee table and washed it, then returned to Manuel's side to wait for the ambulance.

Soon after, the ambulance arrived. The paramedics rushed in, lifted Manuel onto a stretcher, and took him to the hospital.

Cecilia called the nanny to come look after Tommy and Jane, then got into the ambulance.

After the doctor declared that Manuel's heart had stopped and the resuscitation was unsuccessful, he was dead.

She held back her inner joy and put on an extremely sorrowful appearance.

Cecilia took out her phone and called Sam, her voice choked with emotion, "Sam, contact Timothy. Mr. Robinson, he accidentally fell down the stairs and he's gone."

Sam was stunned for a moment. Manuel was actually dead? Sam quickly recovered, "Okay, I'll contact Mr. Robinson right away."

After hanging up, Cecilia collapsed into a chair, covered her face with her hands, pretending to cry in pain, while coldly calculating her next moves.
