Chapter 21

Chapter 21
Marianne frowned as she ate the last of the fruit basket. It was filled with some of the most delicious fruits, the juiciest grapes, strawberries, and mangoes. It was truly something she would definitely go and buy for herself in the future. Marianne would definitely buy one now but she was leaving the country in a few hours and definitely could not finish it in that amount of time.

As she sat on her couch looking at her suitcases Marianne wondered if what she was doing was a good idea. It most definitely was not but she still wanted to try. She wanted to see if she could get those two to be happy together. This was definitely the most trouble she has had with a couple and because of that, the desire to succeed was great.

After the entire situation with the notepad, Marianne had extra sessions with Vivienne, she was desperate to pick her brain and see how she thought. It was the only way that she would be able to get anywhere in making their relationship stronger. All of it mostly up to Vivienne and if she was willing to open herself up and decide to take the proper measures to help with her behavior then she would be able to get them happily married.

Marianne had a month. One month to make a difference, and she was going all the way to Kuta, Bali, to make sure that she would succeed. From what she had heard, Vivienne had rented out the entire hotel for the time closer to the wedding so that it was even more exclusive. The paparazzi would find them eventually and could take pictures in the beginning but once the hotel was only open to her and her guests, there would be no paparazzi. Marianne was not sure if that was the reason she did it but she got no reason when she was told this information.

Vivienne was the type of person that would want the entire world to see how extravagant her wedding was and show the entire world that she was getting married to Dylan. Maybe she would live stream it on her Instagram.

Marianne chuckled at that thought and got up from the couch. She still had some things to get in order. Because she was going to be away for a month she had to also take care of her clients over video call and she had to organize that. Marianne was not going to take any more clients until she was back from the wedding and hopefully it would not be a disaster.

If Marianne was able to get Vivienne to change her attitude and successfully have Dylan and Vivienne get married without many problems then she would definitely be known as someone who could heal any relationship. She was not doing it for the publicity but it would be a nice touch. Marianne still read all the posts about Vivienne and Dylan's relationship and she was determined to have them together. Vivienne loved Dylan, she just didn't know how to tone down her passion. And that was something she would fix.

Vivienne seemed to be someone that was insecure about not being able to keep anyone in her life and so that was where her jealous girlfriend relationship came from. That was why she was so obsessive and possessive. Marianne understood where her feelings came from and so she knew how to cater to Vivienne's needs. The problem was that Vivienne insisted that she was fine and didn't need help and that she and Dylan were perfect. Vivienne was able to open up to her about her family and the problems she had with them, but that was it, she just said that her family did not care about her and that was why she hated them. But she never made the connection or admitted to the fact that they were the reason why she acted that way.

Hopefully, a new setting, like a beach resort on the other side of the world would help Vivienne feel more relaxed and be able to get her to open up. Marianne had not specifically told her that she needed to improve on her behavior or else she would not get married but now that the wedding was a month away, she was ready to do that.

Marianne had arranged with her mother that she would drop her at the airport and she would be by her house within the next half an hour so quickly, she got herself ready. Marianne dressed in light clothes but took a jacket with her, knowing that the airport and plane would be cold. This was Marianne's first time going to Bali and so she was slightly nervous but knew that she would spend most of her time in the resort so she should be fine. Because Bali was a place that was basically oversaturated with tourism, she guessed that there would be many people who spoke English so that was another thought she put to rest.

Thankfully the paparazzi were taking a day off and she was able to get down to her mother's car without any problems. Marianne had unplugged most of the appliances in her house so that she could save electricity and feel better that nothing could happen when she was gone. Marianne had left her apartment for long periods of time in the past so this was a regular occurrence for her.

Once Marianne got into the passenger seat, she realized Jewel was in the back seat. She smiled brightly at Marianne. Jewel's wavy brown hair was tied up in a messy bun and she was dressed as if she was the one going to Bali.

"Hi Jewel," Marianne smiled back at her.

"Girl I cannot believe you're actually going to Bali. Those two have put you through the wringer and you're still willing to go and help them. And to another country no less. You really are a saint."

"You know honey, I think you just need to be careful. You don't have to succeed in making them happy together. Just make sure that they do not get you involved in their drama again ok. If it looks like things will not work out. I need you to pull out. You don't always have to succeed."

"Yeah, if it looks like Vivienne is about to blow up again, just run away and let them sort it out themselves. Not everyone can be fixed." Jewel commented.

Marianne sighed. "Everything you guys are saying is true and so I will keep that in mind. I just feel bad for Dylan and I want this relationship to work. I don't want to fail."

"Don't forget why you are there. You are not there just for the satisfaction of a win of getting a problematic relationship healed. You are there to see their love flourish," her mom said.

Jewel snorted. "If it can flourish."

Marianne chuckled at Jewel's comment but did not say anything. Arriving at the airport when she did was a smart move on her part. Vivienne and Dylan had left two days before her, and the paparazzi were having a field day when they arrived at the airport. At multiple points of that day and the day after, there were a number of celebrities seen leaving the country, all heading to Bali. Vivienne made sure that she would not be dragged into the mess and wanted to be one of the last people who got there. She was sure that the rest of the guests would be traveling incognito not wanting to have to deal with people.

And just like she guessed, there were no flashing cameras or anything at the airport. There was news that even after Vivienne stole her notepad she was seen going to her office so people assumed that she was going to the wedding but that was only speculation. The only ones that knew for sure were the bride and groom-to-be.
She got through everything smoothly and when she was finally seated on the plane, there was no one who even spared her a second glance. To them, Marianne was just another citizen traveling, and that was how she wanted it to be. Marianne slept for most of the flight and when she finally arrived at the main airport of the island, Ngurah Rai, she just followed the crowd. As much as Marianne wanted to look around and see everything she could not do that. She was sure that the wedding festivities were already underway and if there was any important information that would be shared with the guests she did not want to arrive too late and not know what's going on. Vivienne was definitely going to be the ringleader and with how Vivienne was, she was going to be going to every single attraction on the island. Marianne needed to catch Vivienne before she disappeared and arrange times when they would meet.

She still met with Dylan but Vivienne was her priority.
